Nice overview of the Greek words used for 'joy' in the NT and the usage of the NT authors of these words. I especially liked the insight about the three occurrences in which Jesus was said to be joyous or have joy (Luke 10:21; John 15:11; Hebrews 12:2). Jesus rejoiced in that God had revealed himself to everyone, has made his joy of being with God available to every believer, and set an example of how to endure suffering: rejoice in eschatological hope!
