I did enjoy reading this, there was a sprinkling of what I was expecting from st trinians girls. However the language was hard to read and for a story about a girl’s school it was centred very much around the men in the story. The language used towards the woman really got on my nerves and I hate how the author kept saying ‘to my girl readers’. Marriage was an essential part of the story, this was painful to read, especially when our main character who was strong and determined just wanted to marry a man and be a housewife. The modern films are so much better and I think they really capture the true essence of st trinians.

Amusing beginning to end, and with the absolutely irresistible illustrations of Ronald Searle.

I really wanted to read this book after the movie came out... but it was just so hard to understand! I love the pictures though. :P
