Elsie Davis was a grieving widow, who was haunted by her dead husband in her dreams. She worried she would never be able to move on, until she met Landon. It felt like fate had brought them together. In a short span of time, their love grew strong. It really feels like Elsie is getting a second chance at love. That is until information starts to surface that makes Elsie question if she really knows Landon as well as she thinks she does. Was it fate that brought them together or is there something else going on? Elsie and Landon both haven’t been honest with one another and now things are about to get deadly. Will the truth finally come out and can their relationship handle it? Can they survive it?
Much like the first book Living Secrets, once I started reading Deadly Secrets I couldn’t put it down. It kept me guessing throughout as to what was going to happen next and the ending had quite the twist.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and would highly recommend!
The prologue implies Elsie is a witness to a car accident and this leaves her traumatised, particularly as the deceased driver is her ex-husband. Now in a relationship with Landon, Elsie attempts to move on but struggles to move on from Alex. The majority of the story is told from Elsie's perspective so her emotional state is revealed to readers. Eventually, the perspectives switch between Elsie and Landon as dark secrets come to the surface. The pacing is slow and casual, following the relationship between Elsie and Landon: their ups and downs and the secrets they keep from each other.

This book was a REALLY slow book. I was 71% into it and didn’t know why I had read as much as I did but was too far in to stop at that point. The ending earned it the 2 stars I gave it, though it wasn’t earth shattering.
