Nicole Snow is a Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author. She found her love of writing by hashing out love scenes on lunch breaks and plotting her great escape from boardrooms. Her work roared onto the indie romance scene in 2014 with her Grizzlies MC series.
Since then Snow aims for the very best in growly, heart-of-gold alpha heroes, unbelievable suspense, and swoon storms aplenty.
Current fan favorites include her Enguard Protectors series, accidental love novels, plus long beloved MC romance thrillers like the Grizzlies and Deadly Pistols.
This book ended up being just OK for me. It started pretty good, but around halfway through it started to fizzle out. I think it would have been better if it had been 50 pages shorter. I also thought the plot was a little far fetched. Like, whose employer would force one of their employees to take a person who had bad people after them back to their home and make them pretend to be engaged, especially when they had a child living in said home? Not to mention, this was the worst witness protection setup I have ever seen. She literally used her real name, and stayed in contact with and traveled to her sister's house? Anyway...(lol)
Pretty good. Hot sex scenes. Not too naughty and not too nice. Just my kind of right.
Backing up a little... the story isn't bad either. But if this was meant to be a romantic suspense, it really isn't. I could have cared less about the suspense and mystery part. Didn't like the sister, the dad, the weird witness protection program, all of it. Skipped most of that stuff.
The relationship between the MCs was good. I absolutely LOVED Riker. Now there's a MAN! And he looks just like the cover model. Maybe with more chest hair. The beard, the age, the hardness, the tattoos, the piercing eyes (can't tell if they're green on the cover, but close enough).
Lord! fanning self...
The h was OK. She could have been annoying but she wasn't. She was actually just perfect for the H. Only someone who was as innocent and naive and patient and just a little feisty could have handled him. Given the stuff he's been through, the daughter he has and the kind of quiet multi-layered man he is.
I enjoyed this novel mainly for their developing relationship. And mostly for Riker.
4.5 stars rounded to 5. Can't beat a freebie on KU.
GAWD!!! Do you see the cover model??!! Holy Hotness!!!
**fanning self!**
So dammit I read it. The cover got me. Story was well written, Security trope. Heroine, Olivia or Liv, is a sheltered ethereal rich girl. Kinda like she walks around full of wonder like she never lived in the real world before. Hero, Riker, is a guarded, careful and gruff single dad who has to take in the heroine for her security. How the hell he would jeopardize his daughter and how the hell his security team would want that for him is beyond me. But hell! It's the plot right? This was my first WTF moment.
**takes another look at cover model and keeps reading**
SO nothing unpredictable happens. It goes down like you would expect. Tension growing, attraction growing, establishing routines with the kid and things are plain domestic. TOO domestic for poor Ryker who knows this could be bad for his daughter when the job will end and Liv goes back to her life. So he resists and she is so damn cute and fairy-like that it's driving him crazy. And his gruff manliness is driving her crazy. Yada yada...
But throughout the story, it become blatantly clear that much of the content lends itself over to the MC's inner dialogues.
And it becomes... redundant. If it were for the lack of action, I might actually be angry. However there is enough action to bring us out their nagging heads and into the world. A world where much of the security is kinda slack. And where the right questions are never asked and the alarms never set off. There are so many instances where I am surprised by Ryker's lack of foresight that it shocks me. Dude is supposed to be a security expert after all! They get fooled twice by their neighbour!! Like, really??
**GO back to look at cover! NOW**
Virgin sex scene hot as hell, but unrealistic. ANd from there on, you're just waiting for the shoe to drop. And it does. Pretty much exactly like you imagine. The point where the hero realises his fuck up is when the heroine is taken. Don't be pissed!! It's not a spoiler!! YOU SO KNOW ITS GOING TO GO DOWN FROM THE SCENE TO SCENE! Sorry... yelling. But it's so perfectly timed and non surprising that it lacks all the twists it could have had. The entire denouement is so lackluster and corny that I actually was mad! Reading all that just to get an average ending.
I guess you could read this story... Or stare at the cover. Whichever... It's all the same.
Enjoying the Enguard Security series each one is intense from the start to the finish.
Olivia Holly is the younger sister of Milah Holly the current hot property of the music world although she is not without her demons, Milah is trying to stay clean after a recent stint in rehab with the help of Olivia. Olivia is the good girl follows her father around and always does as she is told that is until she is the witness to a double murder of two members of the Pilgrims gang and now she is their number one target. Milah and their father arrange for her to be protected at all times by Riker one of Enguards finest employees but when she is expected to pretend to be his fiancée can she stop her feelings from becoming real and wishing for what she thinks is the impossible and how will she and his daughter get on.
Riker never had any intention of ever being in a relationship again after his wife died years ago its really just been him and his daughter against the world, Liv is suddenly there complicating things and turning his life upside down. His daughter is laughing more than he has heard her in years and Liv seems to slot in with them perfectly but he cannot forget the danger that having her in his life poses not only with the men after her but to his family unit. How long can he fight the things that she makes him feel and will he succeed in pushing the woman who has changed his life for the better away and how much will he come to regret losing her.
This is a fast paced book that you cannot put down, you have a heroine that is finding her way in world she never expected to be a part of where she is finally seen and a man who believes he has a darkness on him that cannot be stopped but this all comes from the need to protect the ones he loves. He is a man who needs to fight for what he believes in and his daughter Em steals your heart.
I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC copy of this book.
I really enjoyed this book. Really, I did. But the 20+ age difference between Riker and Liv was kinda weird for me. I love reading about 40 something men but why do they always have to be paired with a 20 something virgin?? Liv had more in common with his daughter. I know, I know it’s fiction and supposed to be a fantasy but....really what does a widowed father of a 12 year old girl have in common with a 21 year old?? Late20’s would have been a more realistic age I guess. Yeah I know, what 40 year old man wouldn’t want a hot little 21 year old bod under him. I enjoyed everything else about the story. I just kept thinking “he’s old enough to be her father!” Good plot, good storyline, well developed characters. Definitely a great read.
Also unprotected sex.... kind of a sore spot with me
I'm not a fan of the HUGE age difference. She is 21 and he is described as being in his forties with a 12 year old daughter. For me it's just too much, when she is just half his age. In the beginning I thought he is in his early thirties, which would've been okay for me but this was just a tad too much.
And I DNFed because I didn't like the first sex scene. The descriptions weren't fitting or maybe it's because I hate the word "cunt". She was a virgin and the scene felt like a cheap porn script, I just wanted a little bit more romantic or fitting wording and the word "cunt" for me is a huge dealbreaker.
I'm sorry, but this book was painful for me. Took me days to finish because I simply couldn't get into the storyline. It was just unbelievable in every way. Far fetched AF. Glad it's over.
Whew, after this book, I think we're all gonna want our own batch of daddy issues. Just look at that cover! Wipe the drool away and settle in for one of the hottest romances and truly heroic book heroes ever! And that's just Liv - her man Riker's quite the hero, too!
Riker is all solid steel muscle packed inside a broody walled-off shell, a man who will stop at nothing to protect what he loves yet still struggles with what it means to love and trust, and to be loved and trusted.
Liv is everything soft and innocent, thrust into the worst view of life by circumstances well beyond her control. But she's spent her quiet years learning to read people, and she can see right through Riker's walls, all the way through to his still-beating heart. Control is the one thing that Liv has always been denied, so it's the one thing she's going to grab with both hands and her whole heart.
This is more than a simple love story, though it's an epic, legendary romance by itself. The scope of the conspiracy and danger that thrusts Liv into Riker's life is so much more complex than anything you'd expect, even when compared to the author's previous books in this series. Edge-of-your-seat action scenes are perfectly timed between scenes of normalcy and real family experiences, even when they're only pretend.
This author is a truly gifted wordsmith. Each line, each paragraph, each thought in the hearts of her characters rings true, diving deep into the human psyche and exposing hidden truths about her readers as well as her characters, about life in general. The emotional journey we're taken on will take root and forever inform our own views of the people in our lives. Each Nicole Snow book is an exhilarating experience; this one is without a doubt her best yet. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Pretend engaged. Total opposites. So wrong it hurts. Now let's pretend he isn't driving me insane...
I'm on my last nerve. And I'm supposed to marry him to save my skin. Riker Woods might be God's hottest contradiction. Perfectly damaged. Stubborn soul. Moth to flame gaze. Single dad. Fierce protector. Kind...when he thinks no one's looking.
Then along came little old me. The pesky fiancée he never wanted. A hot mess in his neat, broody, oh-so-serious world. Thanks, witness protection geniuses.
If only the men who want me dead were my biggest problem. Nope, it's falling for Jekyll and Hyde. We're too close. Too tense. Too inevitable. We're finding new reasons to fake kiss before you can say uh-oh. He's whispering reckless things that sound so right. I'm helplessly addicted to playing house.
We're crossing lines like electric fences when it hits me. Maybe pretending to be Riker's girl isn't the worst. It's what happens next. What if I dare to say that magic, fatal word – yours? What if I want us to be real?

The Enguard Security personnel are all about blurring the lines of business, pleasure and what happens when love sneaks up on them! This time it's Riker who gets caught up in an explosive, armor cracking ball busting heart melting situation. When his boss and best friend Landon, put him in charge of Liv ( Oliva ), it's because her sister, and father are in deep with the wrong people and the sheltered, sassy, stubborn out of options girl has been put in the middle of a dangerous war by association and what she's seen. Riker must protect Liv and his daughter from the evils that threaten harm, but who's going to protect his heart from this woman and all things he wasn't looking for? Oh my, talk about multifaceted storyline! Alpha moves with a side of heroism, true magnetic sexuality mixed with layers of emotion and all hearts breaking wide open under the emotional pressure. WHEW! Not to mention controlling family members, drugs, mobs, intense dark suspense, manipulations all rolled up in dirty dealings. It's an avalanche of feels I could not stop reading! Another spectacular cast of characters, and storyline in this standalone, in the Enguard Protector Series. I cannot wait for the next one! A must read!
What an amazing story, with action from the first word and pulls you into life or death adventure and romance. A story that I could not put down, from nail biting and worry to melting your heart Riker single, protective Dad that will protect his daughter no matter the cost, Liv the sheltered daughter of a business mongrel who is running for her life and finds courage, strength and protected by this burly man. A match that may not be easy but soul mates from the start.

I knew I was in for a treat when started reading this amazing story but never expected it to be this raw, this delicious, this nail-biting... Nicole Snow knows how to tell a great story, how to captivate with her skillful and passionate writing, how to keep readers on edge from the first word to the very last. Liv & Riker chemistry is off the charts but it is also sweet and tender. Every character in the story is well developed, whether in this book or in previous ones in this series of stand-alone novels, and has intriguing personality. The storyline is a roller coaster with twists and unexpected turns, with a kaleidoscope of emotions... This book is fantastic read!
I had sit for a minute to bask in the happiness after reading the last sentence. A perfect ending for a thrilling book. Liv and Riker were meant for eachother. No matter the gap of age or experiences. She was born for him and him for her. I would highly recommend this book! Happy reading! Note: I have voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this title. Rating 5 stars

I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC copy of this book. This is one of the best of this series! I love your play on words and how you make these characters come alive from your imagination. The read was fast paced and flowed like a calm river but kept you on the edge of your seat while making you feel for these characters and all the trials that they are going to go through. I love reviewing for you and hope to review more from you soon!
This one turned me off almost from the start. Olivia came off as TSTL. Sure she was in a crazy situation, but still have a few brain cells and go to the police. Riker came off as very harsh, except when he was with his daughter. This one just wasn’t for me.
I thought this was excellent. Part thriller, part romantic suspense, all heart.
Olivia “Liv” Holly had been a captive all her life. Pushed into a corner and forgotten. She was the one who brought the stability to her family. Her over-bearing, money hungry father and her super star sister both had so many issues that Liv tried to not be in the way. She always felt like the burden when in truth it was never her issue. In the process, she ceased to live her own life and instead helped bring a calm reassurance to theirs.
The story begins with a man being gunned down right in front of Liv. Right in front of her own doorstep. Turns out the threat is coming from a gang called The Pilgrims. She isn’t sure why they are targeting her family but she figures it has something to do with her sister’s drug problem.
Enter Riker. He works for Enguard Security. He is the only one who can tackle this job. But he isn’t happy about it. The boss wants him to bring this woman into his home, endanger his daughter and pray the huge amount of money they are throwing at him will be worth it in the end.
They say this is an enemies to lovers novel. But I can’t quite buy that. I could buy strangers to lovers. Not enemies. Liv is quite mentally older than her years due to all the coping she has done with her sister and father. The only other thing about this novel I have a bit of trouble with is that Liv is around twenty-one-ish. When I was guesstimating Riker’s age due to his daughter being 12 years old, I figured he was about thirty-two. Turns out later in the book it is revealed he was in his mid-forties. That would make him roughly twice her age. That is not something I could buy easily. Even with that bit of oddness, I think the book was quite good. Somewhat sexy with more romance than actual sex. They each live in their heads a lot in this book. They both have issues to work out before the actual climax of the book and it makes it all feel so real.
We are introduced to James in a couple of ops and it turns out book four in the series, STILL NOT LOVE, features him. I always like when they kind of give you a heads up about characters ahead of time. I was intrigued by him. He seemed, part spook, part ghost and part vampire all rolled into one. Of course, I was so intrigued I had to pick it up immediately after I finished this book.
This seems like a must read series for me. I feel a sense of anticipation I can’t describe with this. It is right in my sweet spot. If you like your romance with touches of thriller and suspense, this is for you!
First of all can we take a moment to appreciate the man on the cover?!? Jesus, Mary and Joseph. I literally swooned when I saw him. If I had to date ever again in my lifetime, he is exactly the kind of man I’d go for. Big, built, sexy beard, smoldering stare, sensual lips, gorgeous eyes and tatted up. I mean look at that washboard stomach. Shit, I’d lick them up and down and mark him as mine. Oh yeah. I had to keep referring back to the cover as I read this book just to keep his looks fresh in my mind’s eye. Sexy as hell.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author and was thankful to get a copy via Kindle Unlimited to try out her book. Boy am I glad I did. Not sure how I started reading them out of order, but holy hell what a read! Riker and Liv were pretty amazing together. I will start off by saying there is a pretty large age gap between these characters. He’s in his early to mid 40’s and she’s about 21. A very mature 21, but 21 nonetheless... With age gaps like this, I tend to rethink the male lead to about 10 years younger, in my mind, so I’m not so creeped out by the age gap. Anyway, this book is full of drama, lust, sexual tension, danger and intrigue. I liked it so well I read it overnight. Seriously I didn’t get one wink of sleep. I just couldn’t put it down... Liv witnesses a murder requiring her to go into a witness relocation situation. Enter Riker, a rough and tumble, stoic, bear of a man, sexy as hell, but lethal, calculating and quiet. He’s pinned to protect her and act as her fake fiancé as cover. She moves into his home with him and his 12 year old daughter Em. Sexual tension starts from almost the moment she settles in. It’s a long wait for the two to become explosive, but, oh my so worth the wait. Playing house works for a while until all hell breaks loose with the case and the other people involved and Riker realizes he will do anything and everything to protect Liv and his daughter... Without too many spoilers or hints, if you like drama and romance, intrigue and action, then pick this up! It’s a really great book. I liked it so well, I hurried up and got the other two in the series while they were all on Kindle Unlimited.
What's not to love about this story. Riker Woods, dark and broody, devilishly gorgeous, dangerous. His demeanor is like a boiling pot of water ready to boil over at a moment's notice. The only time you see a sensitive side is when it comes to his daughter Em. She is his whole world and she has him wrapped around her little finger. His gruff exterior goes mushy under his rock hard abs when it comes to her.
Riker works for a security company called Enguard and his latest job is to look after Olivia Holly, a too young, too naïve rich girl that has some very dangerous men after her. Riker is a professional and he knows that the clients he is hired to protect are off limits. But Riker's weaknesses have always been wanting to protect the innocent and vulnerable and Olivia is just that woman. He is drawn to her like a bee to honey and fights his inner demons to keep things above board. Olivia has the key that seems to bring out his very dark side as well as his innermost sensitive side that he surrounds himself with like a steel trap. He knows that once Olivia discovers his dark demons, she will not want anything to do with him.
His resistance to her is weakening and he falls back on not letting anyone get close to him at all costs. That cost is protecting Olivia but also breaking her heart. This story has thrills and suspense, but also the challenges and difficulties these two go through to find each other's HEA.
Still Not Yours was a really cute book. In it, you will meet Riker and Olivia. Now it's a pretty interesting way on how they met. So Olivia's family is a bit into the dangerous side. Well, not really her family. More like her dad and sister. Olivia is way more shy and quiet.. but that's because she was raised that way. One day, she's kind of being attacked by some gang members. A couple people died right in front of her.. so her dad sends her to a company that will protect her.
In walks Riker. Now he knows about her dad and sister so he kind of assumes the worst of Olivia before he meets her. Boy, does she change his mind and point of view. Throughout the book, they are both trying to figure out what the heck is going on. Of course there are a ton of secrets in this book. So much betrayal as well and I was so freaking entertained. I just wanted to know how it was going to end so badly.
Other than that, I was really enjoying the chemistry between Olivia and Riker. It was undeniable and I just needed the to cut the sexual tension and dive into it. Eventually they did, and it was amazing! I loved every second of it that i will most definitely be diving into another book by this author!!
This was a book chock-full of walking cliches. I've probably never read a book that was crammed with this many tropes.
And it wasn't even done well. All the other characters were too perfect that made them absolutely horrible to read about.
And come on, Riker is fucking 20 years older than Liv, if not more. There is no way I'm getting over that age gap.
Liv is fucking 21 years old. Riker's in his forties. What the actual fuck??????????????????????????
Liv is way too fucking strong for her background and her life. Also way too fucking naive. And a fucking virgin. Fuck you.
Riker's a huge dick. I don't know who's falling in love with a guy that can torture people that cruelly and heartlessly but it definitely isn't me. I worry that some young girls are going to read this, and they're going to think it's desirable if their man is a ruthless, cold-hearted killer and has no problem torturing and hurting people. Also, this whole thing with the male love interest in romance novels being an aggressive jerk is not good for readers who are easily influenced by what they read.
Em was way too mature and smart for a 12 year old. Completely unrealistic.
It’s taken way too long for me to finish this book. I kept getting distracted by reading other books in between this one. This story just couldn’t keep my full undivided attention. Don’t get me wrong there were parts where I was hooked and I couldn’t put it down but then it all just fizzled out for me. The story felt endless, longer than it needed to be. There were moments where it was like “alright get to the point Why is she being targeted and how long are they gonna keep pretending to be together until they finally admit they want to be together.” But at the same time had the story been shorter I probably wouldn’t have wanted it to end, I probably would have wanted more. I clearly have mixed emotions about this book. I don’t completely hate it but I also wouldn’t say it’s one of my favorites. Maybe if I would have read it straight through without taking weeks n months worth breaks I would have enjoyed it more or idk. I probably wouldn’t read this again though. But just because I didn’t feel the “sparks” for this book doesn’t mean u wouldn’t either. Give it a try maybe you’ll enjoy it better I could’ve.
Title: Still Not Yours Author: Nicole Snow Genre: Contemporary Romance/New/Drama/Suspense **RECEIVED ARC FOR HONEST REVIEW** First I have got to say the cover model...OMG! FAN GIRLING HARD! Best way I could say what I feel and have my review published on Amazon. Lol. This is one sexy cover. Wow. Ok so, this is my favorite book so far in the Engaurd series. These sexy private security team who find their better halfs. This storyline resonated with me. I related to how Ryker feels especially in his personal life. It was like Nicole Snow was writing my story. Heck, his wife's name was Crystal! I guess that makes me biased. But it still takes a skilled author to write that emotion into the book so the reader relates and empathizes with the characters. It's more than story. The author has to create characters and lives we want to immerse ourselves into. Nicole Snow does this flawlessly; When the bullets are flying or watching a sunset. This one is for all the girls and boys who feel invisible for whatever reason. Trust me, someone sees you and wants to see you shine.
Anticipation, Tension, and the Mob… Oh my! What an adrenaline rush, face paced and passionately filled story! This is my favorite in the Enguard Security series. I know I know they are all my favorites, but when you read this story you will understand my reasoning.
Riker… I really have no words, he was just amazing; everything that I want in a main man. I loved his passion and rough demeanor, but also his openness to love Olivia. Olivia, on the other hand was a fun lead character as she was just as challenging when the situation demanded it. I loved her love for her sister and ultimately her love for Riker.
If there ever was a story that could translate perfectly into a Hollywood movie, I think this is it. I really had to take a few days after reading this story to just ruminate in the emotions and thought that were still with me. It is defiantly a favorite action romance!
If you only read one story from this author this is the one to read! You cannot possibly be disappointed with it and you will want more. That last page was bitter sweet, the way all good books ending are. Enough gushing, buy it!
