Well I have read this book and now feel exhausted. It has taken me a week to finish it and I am so tired with all the emotions I went through. When I started to read the first chapter I through oh no what sort of book is this and put it down for a few days. Then being me I began to read it again ,I 'm glad that I did it is so good 👍,so interesting,so envovled that I was crying 😢on and off especially when a major character died it was so inspired to continue with the stories that had me wanting to read, Needless to say that I just had to give this collection a 5star rating something I rearly do! Now it's time to retire to my bed chamber for a well earned rest. THANK_YOU☺😯😢😕
The stories all have lots of family and love and sensuality in them. I love History of the British Isles. Reading about knight's and battles I get to learn about the clothing of the Lord's and ladies plus ,learn about their every day lives and how they bathed ate cooked etc. The one story got a bit over the line in my opinion when she had a 2-3 week old infant and they started to heat up the bed. All in All well written , can't put down set of books!!!!
I got my money's worth. This is a collection of really good stories. They have strong characters, strong plots and good pacing. There is some sex but it is not a filler to extend a mediocre plot. The first story involving the battle of Hastings and a shield maiden type was my favorite. The second story ,a riff on Tristan and Isolde but with a happy ending was good but a little longer than needed. The other stories were all about their children and each was unique and imaginative from girl warriors to grieving widows. A great collection from a major talent.
Wonderful, well rounded characters with their own idiosyncrasies. I could not put my reader down until I finished the series. Kathryn draws you into the story and its as if you're there. I like it when she goes to present day and has characters meet each other that are known or unknown decendents and are drawn to each other by a compelling sense of dejavu. This was my first time reading her, Kathryn you have a fan for life.
Have read as many Kathryn Leveque books as I can find. Love the history, but most of all love her well rounded characters and her ability to weave a wonderful story that you just can’t put down. Do yourself a favour, if you haven’t read any of this author do it. Make sure you have a free weekend though you won’t want to put it down.
This series bundle is absolutely the best!! Its the one you need a box of Kleenex for and the best for recommendations to anyone who has not been acquainted with Kathyne' s books concerning the De Wolfe family. James' story is the hardest to get thru, though Scott and Troy will need much Kleenex as well.
I was a new reader to medieval romance books and Kathryn LeVeque was was one of my first authors. She captures your attention right from beginning to end!! I have read ALL of Kathryn’s books and anxiously await and new releases.
A totally engrossing and enthralling bundle of Ms. Le Veque's books that you are unable to set down once you pick them up! These are the epitome of exceptional storytelling!
Wow!!! A fantastic assortment of all de Wolfe family. I enjoyed it immensely. The most comprehensive set available. Just imagine from start to finish de Wolfe. It will take you on the gamut of emotions.
This book is loooong. But so good! I can't believe how much it covers. It has characters in it that you may already know plus new ones. The stories are captivating and the emotions are real. I want to be a de Wolfe when I grow up or maybe a decent Shera. Happy Reading.
A wonderful saga! From the origins of the de Wolfe family after the Battle of Hastings, through the late 13th century, this anthology spans the first several books on the series. Unputdownable!
These books were wonderful. Kathryn makes you feel like you are right there. For me the only drawback was the length of the book. I think it was the longest read I have had in years!
I am a fan of Kathryn LeVeque. This bundle of DeWolfe stories did not disappoint. After reading one I became anxious to read the next. All are filled with excitement, adventure and of course, love.
This entire series is absolutely phenomenal. It's been a while since I read a series of books that put me fully into the middle ages. There isn't a single character that you don't fall in love with! I was 100% engaged from page 1. I would read Kathryn Le Veque any day!
This was a complete set of the De Wolfe family and their friends. Very interesting and keeps your attention from beginning to the end. It starts with William and ends with his youngest child, Penelope.
Kathryn Le Veque writes the most wonderful books. Just have a box of tissues with you. I just finished the Bundle and they were wonderful. I must of used a box of tissues when James was trying to get his memory back. I have read a lot of her books and not one was boring. Louise
