Lily lost her beloved second daughter years ago and was determined to spend every waking moment making memories with Hope and Jax. Christmas was no exception and a favored holiday. However, Lily's faith was shaken and left in pieces when tragedy struck; leaving Hope battered and in a coma. On Christmas Eve after a month of no improvement and Hope's health declining, doctor's suggest taking her off of life support. Lily was devastated and questioned everything she believed in life; including God. ​ Twelve years old, Hope enters into a paradise she had heard of so many times in her life. While there, she meets the One who knows all and controls all. She meets some unexpected people while learning of her life's important purpose; to help her mother truly find the love of the Lord. ​ Why would he love Lily so much but put her through so much heartache by taking another child away? Why would God give such an important task to such a young girl who had so much to learn about life? Would each of them learn to live with the differences set before them in life?

Rae-Beth McGee-Buda resides in the rolling hills of Fairview, West Virginia with her husband, daughter, and son.

She’s been writing in some form her entire life, but loving young sister, Audra McGee noticed her talent and gave her the reassurance she needed to start her writing career. After many months of deliberation, Rae-Beth decided to trust her sister's word and expand her short story into what we all know and love as The Silenced Series.

Rae-Beth is a mother to an angel in Heaven...Miss Dakota, whom she honored in Saying Goodbye Without Saying Hello. Her goal for her books is to inspire and give hope. She is a Christian author, who firmly believes in God and incorporates her faith into some of her work.

Can you imagine the loss of not one child but possibly two? Where would your faith and hope be? What a magical story this was!!

The characters were phenomenal. I felt a REAL connection with these characters. I could literally feel their pain, joy, happiness, and anger as I continued to read this story.

The story-line was absolutely incredible!! The feelers within this story made me want to continue to read and hope for a happy ending. I have read a lot of this author's work and this story by far has blown me away. The power that flowed from the story kept me reading from beginning to end. It's an awesome testimony on the power of faith and hope and how we lose that when something tragic happens. I commend this author for bringing forth such a punch that could very well take your breath away. I must say that this is my favorite of all the stories that this author has written. This is a tissue worthy story, but I highly recommend it!!

I don’t know what to say about this book. I mean, it’s a good novella but I wasn’t emotionally attached to the characters. I felt like I was just being told what was happening not shown. It’s repetitive as well.
