What can I say, I downloaded the Busted Play series (7 books) and I plowed through the books. Three stories follow CJ and Mel, 1 follows Kit and three follow Grey and Isabella. They are all intertwined stories but can stand on their own. The action in the series is jammed packed pulling you along one book after another. The steamy scenes within the couples light the pages on fire. The books take you through: a fake marriage; possibly pregnant, crazy ex girlfriends; espionage; Russian mafia; psycho embezzlers; blackmail and so much more. Trigger alert: two of the characters were victims of childhood incest. The part of the plot involving this is handled gently, education and without a quick fix.

All the stories are intertwined in one way or another but, cant be stand alone stories. These stories do have some steamy scenes in them but, the stories are about blackmail, weird/crazy ex girlfriends, fake marriage, Russian Mafia and more!! I have to warn about a Trigger Alert - A couple people in the book were victims of Childhood Incest and the plot was handled gently [I actually had to put the book down and walk away, I went through Childhood Incest and Childhood Sexual Assault, I am okay, I just wasn't prepared]. This was a great collection of stories to read!! I highly recommend!!

I have no idea why the author chose to continue Busted Play past the first book. It should have just ended. I liked the characters at the end of book one and immediately hated them in book 2. I'm done.
As a side note, the writing is a bit awkward and hard to follow. Listening to the audio, it is almost impossible to know which character is speaking because it is all first person and read by a man who does not change his inflection when switching from male to female characters.

I loved listening to this book. The characters were excellent and I loved the growth that took place between Melanie and Chance. I love the author for tackling the topic that most are not comfortable writing. I also, love the narration. Most of this book will have you listen to each detail til the end. Can’t wait for the next book.
