I haven’t ever thought of writing a review for a reference book, but I just read a friend’s review of this book and realized the how enriching it made my latest study of The New Testament.

Thomas Valletta has given me a gift of better understanding. This book places quotes and insights in parallel to the scripture verses. Highly recommended for any serious student of scriptures.

This was super helpful in understanding history, culture and context in the New Testament. I enjoyed the format - full scriptural text (with no notes within the text) with relevant quotes and pictures to the side in the margins.

I only give 4 stars because I found some of the quotes to be peoples opinions/unfounded. Far too many Bruce r McConkie quotes for my liking. But for the most part, there were many helpful and insightful tie ins and cross references. Everything from modern day apostles quotes from general conference to biblical scholars.

I read most of it, I missed a few chapters here and there. Really great study guide to the New Testament. So many things were explained that helped to deepen my testimony of the Savior and His life here on earth. It also made me love and understand the apostles so much more.
I also loved the explanations of how people lived in this time period, things make so much more sense to me having the understanding of what was normal to this group of people.

I did not necessarily read this cover to cover. At the beginning of the year it was used as a reference for when I was teaching gospel doctrine. I was released.and called into young women’s so then I just used it in class when I caught more understanding on what was being covered. I have the hard copy and then purchased the book in the app so that I could access further material. I found the insights very helpful. My understanding was definitely deepened

Used this book throughout the year for part of my New Testament Study. Was checking out a couple others early on but this easily become my favorite and was so happy when I received it as a birthday gift so I could mark it up as I studied.

This study guide is an excellent commentary to the New Testament. Reading the New Testament using this study guide helped me gain more insight to the Savior and his teaching. I highly recommend using this book in your study of the New Testament.

Great addition to scripture study

This is my third Thomas Valletta study guide I have used to supplement my Come, Follow Me study. Like the Book of Mormon and Old Testament study guides I used previously, this is a great addition to scripture study. Highly recommended!

This book contains the entire text of the King James Version of the New Testament. Many of the verses have commentary from modern leaders of the church in the side column. I found the book to be very instructive. It helped me to better understand the content.
