I could not free myself from the feeling that I had already read this story several times in several different books. A standard plot of nuclear terrorism. A truly routine story with no depth, with standard characters. Although the book is readable but without any uniqueness.

Exciting as always. I've read all of Mick Bose's Dan Roy series. And each one draws you into the story with interesting, hard-working action. Can't wait for the next adventure.

I have followed Mick Bose from his first Dan Roy book, and have seen both the character of Dan, and Mick's writing improve through the series, this book is definitely the best to date, with a scarily plausible plot, lots of action and excitement and some very good characters, I also like that Dan isn't quite as indestructible as he was portrayed in the early books, he is now a lot more plausible.
Unfortunately this book does suffer from the author's achilles heel, and that is his grammar and writing style which really does leave a considerable amount to be desired, it's a lot better than it was, but could be so much better, particularly with good professional editing, that would get this book to 5 stars.

What a great addition to the Dan Roy series. From the first page you get drawn into the mystery of who committed the murder the streets of DC and the reason. This book is full of action, a mole, KGB defectors, unexpected alliances, and nuclear warheads. There is just enough information given out along the was to keep you guessing as to who is in alliance with who, the motive for some of the character's actions, and Valona Kowalski trying to make sense of things her father told her both as a child and recently. This is a must read.

This story grabs the reader and blazes through action so fast it becomes a blur. The style of writing is sparse, written like a tech manual. The characters are stereotypes, but everything supports the action and suspense. The coalition of bad guys demonstrates great diversity. The unlikely nature of their relationships makes the case hard to solve. Dan Roy plays a major role in thwarting the terrorist plot, with the help of a new friend who is an FBI agent. She learns to trust Dan, and they work together despite misgivings on both of their parts. Truly an outstanding story.

Code Zero is an edge of your seat, race against time thriller that you won't want to put down. Although this is the eighth Dan Roy book it can be read as a stand-alone book. Mick Bose is a wonderful author who knows how to engage with the reader and tell a realistic and terrifying tale that is completely relevant to today's world. I could not put this book down and thoroughly recommend it. I also suggest that you do read the previous Dan Roy books in order to understand his character and behaviour a little better... and they are also very good books.

Great series, fab author

The Dan Roy series by Mick Bose is a edge of your seat type of international thriller. Each book is relatively self-contained but follow the same character who is an amazing black ops individual. His character development and plot twists truly do keep you on the edge of your seat. Unlike many of his genre, he doesn’t bore you with unnecessary details or make the endgame obvious from the beginning. This is probably one of the best in the series similar to Vince Flynn and I highly recommend reading them all.

Code Zero. Mick Bose

Certain people from professions that most people could never attain often times have to shoulder a responsibility that few can bear. Such is the case in this excellent novel. Nuclear devices will be exploded in numerous locations in America. A Marine General is threatening to explode them if his demands are not met. Actually,he has no intention of detonating the nuclear devices. But others do. This is actually a believable scenario. Nonstop action from first to last pave. An incredible read!!!

This is the 8th book and it's full of excitement from page one. Murder takes place in broad daylight in front of Dan Roy ex intercept operator/special ops. Who is behind all this and what is the reason with the type of personnel involved ie:Russians Saudi even persons in America that hold high ranking jobs, Dan Roy with help from Trisha Dunne FBI must work all this out and save not only the day but the world, from the elite monsters who want to destroy it.

Surprised Ops

A thrilling novel of exciting proportion. The plot centers around the remnants of the Cold War era in which the Russians smuggled nuclear bombs into the United States. A rogue General sells the codes to detonate these weapons. Through a series murders,the plot is revealed.
The pace of the story moves along quickly. I encourage anyone who enjoys a good read to select this book.

Once again I have thoroughly enjoyed this book. The book follows Dan an ex marine and a “retired” special operative. Having helped the us government with classified jobs throughout his. Career, Dan is once again requested to help save the country from a nuclear disaster. Fast paced, action packed, definitely unmissable!

If you are a fan of Dan Roy you don't want to miss this one. If you not , what are you waiting for? I couldn't put it down. This thriller has all the action you need. Politics, homegrown terrorist, international intrigue, and the threat of nuclear war. So explosive!

Dan Roy goes up against Russian terrorists wanting to set off nuclear bombs off on US soil. It is a rush against time to try to find these explosive devices and disarm them. Act packed as usual in this series. As always, will keep you on the edge of your seat.

I've read the entire series and enjoyed each book. With the exception of intermingling the Queens English with American

they are very well written. Example, Americans don't put petrol in cars, just gas. Otherwise very good action novels. Great.

I have to give this book 5 stars. If more were available, I would certainly use them as well. This has been the best Dan Roy thriller yet. The content makes you wonder, how much of the Cold War Intelligence, is still in possible play today.

Could be real
