I will read and re-read Baby It’s Cold Outside for years to come, what a timeless Romance full of grace and passion. It hooked me from the opening lines and I couldn't put it down. Sigh…

Lanie’s stories are always so original and her characters get to me every time. Emily and Heath are the perfect couple to make warm up your holiday. Emily’s journey to meeting Heath was incredible, and my heart broke for her while Heath was mending it and changing himself in every way. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this story.

This is a great story and should be on everyone’s Christmas list.

This story had me smiling, laughing, and crying my eyes out. Any story that can pull your emotions out of you and make you feel like you are right there with the characters is my favorite type of story. Emily and Heath experienced some Christmas magic that brought them together. Heath found what he didn't know he was looking for and he was able to help Emily find out the information she had been searching for along with getting her wish.
Baby, It's Cold Outside is one you do not want to miss this holiday season.

I’m not quite sure why so many people have read this book so highly. It has a cheesy, instalove plot that offered nothing new to this genre.

I felt distanced from the action with the present tense, third person point of view that just read very weirdly. It was as if I was reading the directions for a screenplay or someone was trying to tell me the story as if it was an audiobook. It disconnected me from the characters and felt very awkward.

Every year when Emily was younger she always wished on the star on top of her Christmas tree!! Every year it was the same wish, but it never came true.. until one day years later..

Emily funds herself outside the most amazing looking building. She notices a Christmas tree in the lobby and is drawn to it. On top of the tree is a star just line the bone she remembers from her youth and she can help but make the same wish she has done many years before. She isnso I'll tied and decides to lay down for a bit not knowing that her life is about to change.

Heath is known as a cold hearted business man who had risen to where he is by being a shrewd business man. After working an all nighter hes exhausted but when he walks out and finds a sleeping girl outside his building he feels his heart softening abit and a sudden protectiveness overcomes him.

Christmas is right around the corner and Heath can let her stay on the streets, so he asks her to spend it with him. They forge an amazing friendship and find themselves feeling more.

Heath the ever prudent business man has run a background check on Emily, Amelia as he found out was her real name, and has found some amazing but worrisome news that will change Emily's life.

Heath and Emily.. both from different worlds find a way to heal each other and to love each other. Emily opens Heath's heart and Heath fills the missing void in Emily's. Proving that Christmas wishes do come true

Emily is living on the streets of LA when she sees a beautiful Christmas tree in one of the buildings. She decides to lay down outside the building and gets caught by Heath. Heath owns the company and feels bad for her, so he takes her inside to find her some food. He sees her again the next day and invites her to lunch. She doesn’t understand why he is bothering with someone like her! He takes her to his penthouse and talks her into spending the holiday with him! She came to LA to look for her last foster father Bill, Health decides to use his contacts to find him for her!! Only they learn that Bill had been looking for her to before he passed away. They find out that Heath’s father and Bill were good friends and he can’t believe that he finally found Emily! Emily learns that Bill left her everything including a successful business that now makes her very rich! Heath has fallen in love with her and is afraid he is going to lose her. Can they find their happily ever after?

Emily has had a rough life. When she thinks she's found her place she is removed from her foster family. Then one day she sees this gorgeous tree in an office building that draws her in. When Heath sees Emily standing in his building he is drawn to her but doesn't understand why. Emily ends up back outside looking at the tree when she sees Heath again this time he asks her to lunch. She ends up back at his place getting cleaned up before eating and still not sure what's going on. Heath can't stop thinking about Emily so when he sees her again he takes a chance to get to know her better. When he learns about the foster family she's looking for he can't help but to want to aid her search. Will Emily get a family for Christmas? Can Heath show Emily that he is the man for her?


This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Emily is on the street when she sees a beautiful Christmas tree inside a large business building so she inside too see when she gets caught by Heath who owns the building and his assistant and he takes into the break room and feeds her. The next day he sees her again and invites her to lunch because there is something special about her. He takes her to his penthouse and while he fixes lunch she showers and he couldn’t believe how beautiful she is all cleaned up. She has been looking for her last foster family Bill and Susan but without any success. With the help of Heath she learns Bill has been looking for her but he passed away before he found her but he left her two homes and his successful business. Heath loves her and hopes she loves him but he’s not sure. Lovely romance with a little magic.

This was a very sweet Christmas love story. There is a billionaire named Heath Hanson. Heath owns his own company.

Heath finds a young woman named Emily asleep in the cold outside his building. He wakes her up and he instantly feels a pull to her. Heath doesn’t believe in Christmas after suffering loss of his mother. Emily has also suffered being in foster homes. They end up meeting up with each other and he convinces her to stay and eat with him. Emily is hesitant to take anything from him but he talks her into staying with him. He even offers her a job of working for him.

Emily finds out that she wasn’t as alone as she thought. Her father has left her wealthy with a company and a house of her own. Heath is having none of it when he tells her that he loves her. Emily and Heath are the cutest couple in this book. I enjoyed reading this from start to finish.

I read this story in about a 24-hour period... I could barely put it down!
Emily and Heath were such an unlikely couple at the start, though of course I knew (or at least HOPED), that they would end up together. The speed at which their relationship developed was so swift, but fit the storyline so perfectly! Their subsequent admissions of love were also so quick, but so heartfelt and believable! The role the Christmas tree star played was so pivotal and made for a magical ending.
I really do hope Lanie continues on 'something' with these characters... I LOVE them! I'll certainly be recommending this story to all of my friends. A beautiful story full of compassion, love and so many other emotions. Thanks Lanie xo

My favorite Christmas romance book. This book should be made into a Hallmark Christmas movie. I absolutely love this Christmas story about two lonely people who meet in the most usual way and a spark ignites. Heath went through a huge loss as a child as did Emily however Heath had a family to surround him and support him. Once Emily is removed from her fabulous foster family she has no one. As they get to know each other it is evident how they are perfect for each other. Just takes the two of them a bit to figure it out. If you want to reach a feel good story set at Christmas this is your story. Companiship, understanding and love warms the heart and this book is just that - full of heart.

'Tis the season...

Lanie Love's new tale is full of love. "Baby, It's Cold Outside" fits the atmosphere of holiday season to a T. When Emily wishes upon a star before passing out on the sidewalk, it brings out the magic of Christmas and a lonely CEO, Heath. The love from Heath to Emily is instant, and maybe it's because of the jolly holiday, Heath just keeps on giving. He protects and he provides Emily unhesitatingly. With some twists and turns from their past, he literally becomes her knight in shining armor. It ends almost like a modern fairytale of "A Little Princess". It will surely warm your heart through the season.

This was a good quick holiday read and is Heath and Emily's story if you like a good insta-love romance then you will enjoy getting to know these two. When he finds a homeless Emily asleep outside his office building something makes him want to help her when he takes her home to feed her he gets his first real look at her and realises he is falling head over heels for her but both of these are damaged and a little bit broken. It is well worth read

Nothing like a wonderful holiday full of surprises...
I enjoyed reading this book. Was a wonderful read throughout. Perfect holiday book to read and enjoy while snuggled up with a hot drink and slowly sucking on the candy cane shaped spoon. The characters pull you in and make you want to read more. I want to know more of what's going to happen as I continued to read this. Keep it coming...
