My love for writing began several years ago after an early retirement from a demanding job that I loved and hated because it consumed so much of my time. Now, I can focus my time on what I love. Writing romance has been a lifelong dream and to actually say that I am a published author is beyond what I would have ever expected.
Even though some may say I have a little naughtiness in my books, I look at it as an added bonus for my readers. After all, what is a romance book without a little spice?
When I am not writing, I enjoy spending time with friends either at home or out on the town. Mostly, I enjoy a relaxing night at home where I can enjoy a glass of wine in the company of a good book.
Out of everything, she enjoys driving in her little convertible with the top down.
First let me say that when I started this book it seemed really familiar...I must’ve read it through KU a while back...here’s the glitch, I also just received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review and I really wish I had passed on this book. There is a place in this book where the author wrote “she was as simple as a country girl could be.” Hanna was simple.....simple minded. There were so many contradictions why would she still need to apartment above the diner if she was going to go back to the farm? She asked herself how she could consider marrying him when they knew each other less than a month...if I read this book correctly it was a little more than a week. The phone call after the shooting was just silly. I truthfully can not understand how anyone could five star this book. Aiden was a boy man, there were almost no contractions so all of the dialogue was stilted...his “Father....Son” conversations were off and uncomfortable to read. The kidney deal just added to the foolishness of this book and then a big mouthed nurse...hello...HIPPA.
I haven't heard of this author and I was curious to read this book. I started reading and I was immediately pulled into this young girls life. I felt so much heartbreak and pain in this girl. This book kind of reminds me of the handsome Prince and Snow white. A sweet romance to sit by the fire and read. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Ok read. Mostly really unrealistic. The whole plot has to be taken with a grain of salt and the story embodies the true meaning of fiction. The ending left too many questions and no answers. Where are they going to live? Can she really trust Aiden? I think he is lying about things. Oh well short easy read.

This story centres around Hanna Marsh who at fourteen lost her mother through illness, then shortly after her father took his own life due to heartbreak. Her and her brother Carter were left the farm in Danbury, the only place Hanna loved to work and live. Until without her knowledge Carter used the farm as collateral against a business deal with didn’t work out and they lost everything. Hanna started working for Dotty in Dotty’sDiner as a waitress, where she meets the very handsome and rich Aiden Drake. He offers Hanna a deal, one night together and he’d give Hanna her beloved Farm back. This is a love story of family commitment, disloyalty, love and danger.
DISCLAIMER: I was lucky enough to receive this book from BookSirens on behalf of the author. This is in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. The thoughts that I am representing on the book are my thoughts and mine alone. I hope that you read this review and that it will help you on your next review. I will give the book my thoughts, good and bad. Also, this review contains opinions that are my own and not the author’s.
Our story begins with Hanna. Immediately, her genuine positivity and selflessness draws you to her. The darkness of greed is creeping up on her. When she is faced by a betrayal that rocked her to the core, she learns that sometimes family can destroy family. After losing the only place she could ever call home due to her brother’s need for the next greatest adventure, she is on track to get back to where her heart is and take over her life with no one getting in her way. Until she served Aiden Drake one day. Little did she know that her whole life would flip upside down. She believes that she has found her happily ever after, until the darkness of greed comes back to haunt her. Will Hanna get back to her home? Is she being hunted? Will she be betrayed? Will her brother come back? Are there dangers lurking around Hanna that threaten to destroy the bright light that is inside her?
My rating: This review was difficult to write because I felt that this book was not a standout. While there were some moments that I loved, most of the book was average. I like Hanna and Aiden, but there was nothing that stood out to me as amazing. My rating for this book is 3 out of 5 stars. It wasn’t a terrible story. I loved to finish it, but I don’t know if I will read it again. I was not surprised and figured out the ending early on. I feel disappointed. I wanted more. For me, this book is average.

Saving Hanna is a short and sweet novella by A.L. Long. It is a wonderful love story between Hanna who had lived her entire life on her farm until she was forced to move away and Aiden, a greedy and powerful millionaire.
Hanna was a true farm girl until she was forced to move away because of the consequences of her brother, Carter's greed. after which she started working at a diner to support herself and to save her farm. Aiden was a true businessman down to his roots who bought the farm and wanted to buy the diner. He visited the diner regularly as a result of which he met Hanna for the first time.
Aiden was sweet, protective and had a good head on his shoulders. I felt like he was a good contrast to Hanna's gentle nature. There were times I felt Hanna was being childish and impulsive like running away multiple times without telling Aiden and not giving him a chance to explain but otherwise I loved Hanna's strength and loyalty.
Aiden saved Hanna both literally and figuratively so I believe the title is apt for the book. I felt that Hanna and Carter's relationship could have been explored a little better. Also, I felt that there were things that were never revealed in the book like Hanna never really got a clear answer of how Aiden and Carter knew each other. I liked the fact that Aiden's father came through at the time of need regardless of his previous behavior. Albert was a good supporting character and a few more scenes with him would have been enjoyable.
All in all, it was a nice book and was a refreshing change.
Hanna grew up on a farm with her parents and her brother. When both her parents pass away she vows to keep the farm going. That is until the bank seizes it after learning her brother put it up as collateral while making some dodgy decisions. Hanna is forced to move to a crappy apartment in an even crappier part of town and takes a waitressing job at the local diner. She makes herself a promise that she’ll save every cent she can to buy back the farm. When a very well dressed business man - who definitely stands out in this small town diner - starts coming in every day, she learns he could be the potential new owner of the diner. But she soon discovers he owns her farm and makes her an offer too good to refuse.
Aiden, the very wealthy, handsome and soon to be CEO of his fathers company, knows exactly what he’s doing when he walks into the diner Hanna works at. His proposition to Hanna, one night with her in exchange for her farm back. With his fathers deal of becoming the next CEO looming closer, Aiden decides Hanna could be the answer to his problems. But of course it’s never as easy as it seems and things start to unravel. The return of Hanna’s brother throws a wrench in Aiden’s plans and Hanna is taken hostage after witnessing a murder.
There were a few twists and turns that were quite intriguing but moved very fast. I was annoyed that it kept getting skimmed over about what happened to Hanna’s brother but then casually mentioned as if the reader should have already known. I did come to that conclusion but would have preferred it mentioned earlier.

This was my first book by this author so I didn’t know what to expect from her writing. Hanna grew up on a farm and loved everything about it. She lost her mother and father and was left with only her brother who hated the farm. Her brother took off and left her and without her knowledge, took a loan out against the farm, to use the money in some investment scheme that lost all of his money. When the bank foreclosed on the farm, Hanna moved to Houston and got a job as a waitress in a small diner. The only place she could find to rent that she could afford was in one of the seedier sides of town. One day while working, an incredibly handsome man comes in and then starts coming back everyday. His name is Aiden Drake, and he bought Hanna’s farm from the bank and wanted to find out more about her after he discovered a photo of Hanna and her family while he was renovating the farm house. There are a lot of questions and lies surrounding Aiden that I felt the author never addressed. Drake had a deal with his Dad that he would marry by the time he was 30 in order to be appointed as CEO of his Dad’s company and he only had a couple of months to find a wife. This is the basics of the story but there were a few twists along the way. I think the premise of the book had potential but fell flat. The writing was very stilted, did not flow well for me. I found the characters very juvenile for their ages. Hanna was clueless about pretty much everything that came her way and Drake came across as shady. I was provided an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
His father’s ultimatum spurs Aidan on but Hanna cinches it! This book was definitely suspenseful. It kept me wondering what would happen next throughout. Some dialogue was a little “cheesy” but the sweet story made up for that. We never find out what deal Aidan and Carter made nor does Hanna, which is a little troublesome. Otherwise, I truly enjoyed this romance. Hanna Marsh was a country girl and planned on remaining that way. She loved her life, her family’s farm house and her brother until he went and messed up and caused Hanna to lose everything that meant anything to her. Carter was looking for the “big deal” that would make him more than a country boy. His failure caused him to lose the deal and his sister. When Aidan shows up every day at Dotty’s diner where Hanna works, she is flustered because he is so good looking and so far out of her reach, but she is stubborn. She tries hard to ignore him until he does something that changes her whole life. Aidan has a deal with his father and his deadline is fast approaching. Can he pull it off? There are also outside forces that take over and change things too. I really liked this little story. There are some editing issues that did not get corrected in the version I bought. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through BookSirens and it gets my recommendation. I would like to see it cleaned up a little and maybe clarification on the “deal” between Aidan and Carter even if Hanna never finds out. Ouch! Anyway, this was an enjoyable read. I give it 3.75 Stars.
Hannah had lost her mother, father, and while trying to keep the family farm running, she was betrayed by her irresponsible brother. Losing everything and still trying to recover from her emotional and physical losses, she worked and saved what she could with the goal of someday buying back her family farm. Aiden appeared pretty much out of nowhere, but he was interested in Hannah and manipulated his way into her life because of his attraction to her. The writing style was more of a narrative that told the reader what was happening in real time. I thought this detracted from the actual storyline and while Aiden and Hannah were both quite likeable, the dialogue was stilted and the pacing was a bit uneven. I never really felt the connection or intensity of Aiden's feelings for Hannah and their scenes lacked the passion that they were supposed to feel for one another. I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review.
I have read many books from this author. Each book is better than the one before..Never thought that could be possible. This is a must read. A wonderful love story between Hanna a farm girl loving life until it is all taken away, and Aiden the rich powerful millionaire that is looking for the one and wonders if Hanna could be it. The ups and downs that they must go through is a test of there true feelings for each other. The way the author writes the story will keep you on the edge of your seat and not being able to turn the pages fast enough. Will love prevail? Will his fathers demands break them apart? Read the book for these answers and more you will not be disappointed. Bravo for a wonderful read. Can not wait for the next release.

This is the second book I've read by A.L. Long and she certainly didn't disappoint with the style & finesse of the characters. Hanna has lost everything all because her brother put the farm up as collateral without her knowledge. Carter thought he was doing right and came out badly. Roll on a year and Hanna is working in Dotty's Diner and one day who should arrive but Mr Hot Sexy Handsome Aiden Drake. He's a mystery on his own as he is a hot shot entrepreneur who wants 1 night with Hanna in exchange for something she wants. What will Carter say when he finds out about Hanna & Aiden? What is Aiden hiding from Hanna? All will be revealed when you read the exciting Saving Hanna.
Saving Hana is the first book I have read by A.L. Long. In Saving Hanna, Hanna has just lost her family farm due to deception by her brother. She finds herself working in a diner and living in a pretty rough neighborhood. Aiden comes in the diner and meets Hanna, which sets the stage for the story. Little does Hanna know, but Aiden has bought the farm and is curious about Hanna. Hanna and Aiden get together, but there is a lot of deception on Aiden’s part. They have a rough road to A happy ending, but I just felt like there were a lot of unanswered questions. It was a good read, it just didn’t pull me in and hold my attention. It felt rushed in a lot of places. I received an advanced copy but I have left an honest review.
Ok, let's begin. Hana is a simple county girl who lost her farmhouse. She moved to Houston ( I think ?! ) and worked as a waitress. She meets Aiden, CEO , and she realizes she finds him attractive. So, this plot is ok with me. But...I find some unrealistic stuff in the whole story. She is stubborn and she doesn't want to buy food because she saves money for the house ( give me a break ! ) . Aiden must get married before he is 30 years old ???? Later - we find FBI, kidney surgery, pregnancy, real love ... It's too much for the 150-page story. I am so sorry but my honest opinion is that this book deserves 2,5 stars.
I received this book in exchange for my honest opinion thanks to publisher and BookSirens.
Saving Hanna was the first book written by A.L Long I’ve had the pleasure of reading. I enjoyed the speed at which the plot moved and how likable Hanna was. After experiencing more bad luck than any person should have to endure, Hanna’s luck seems to be changing when she meets Aiden. However, Aiden brings his fair share of baggage and mystery to the relationship. Aidens past includes Hanna’s brother, Carter, who is the reason Hanna lost her home and family farm. The readers are left wondering what Aiden and Carter’s relationship and business dealings were really like. Overall, I enjoyed the book and look forward to reading more from the author.

Hanna was more of a tomboy and loved working the farm & had no interest in dresses and makeup and her only brother Carter had no interest in farming. Hanna was always keeping Carter out of trouble, after her parents died Carter disappears but she still had the Farm until Carter stole it out from under her, she found herself working doubles at a local diner trying to figure out how to get the farm back. Then Aiden Drake comes into her life and for a price he can give her back what was taken from her. Neither of them ever thought love would complicate the deal. This story is full of twist, danger, passion & love
A.L. Long writes stories that can be unrealistic, but she does a great job with creating the characters and their stories. If you are one that doesn't like really unrealistic romances then this may not be the author for you. With that being said, I enjoyed this story and was able to connect with the characters wants and desires. Hanna loses her farm, and is working in the city and meets Aiden. Hanna is trying to get her farm back and Aiden is trying to find a wife so he can run his fathers company. As the story progress, you learn how their lives intertwined before they meet and how they can overcome some secrets that could tear them apart.
A great book that keeps you guessing until the end. Hanna loses the one thing she holds near and dear to her heart, her parents farm. She would have been fine except her brother, Carter squanders her farm left from her parents. She ends up working in a diner and trying to save every penny to buy back the farm. She receives a proposition from Aiden, one you will not believe. There are many twists and turns in this novel and I don't want to give anymore facts away, you must read to find out what further happens to Aiden and Hanna.

A wonderful story. I really enjoyed this book and it was very quick to read. I liked the characters and I especially liked Hanna a lot for some reason. The plot was interesting as well. I would have liked a little bit more filling in the book, though. It was a bit weird that not all of the secrets came to light but I still liked it a lot. The ending was both sad and happy at the same time. All in all, a lovely, quick read.

What a ride.... Wow. I mean seriously, wow. That was one hell of a read.
I am not sure that I even know where to begin writing a review for this because it is truly an awesome experience. It was like these were real people and this situation could be real. I really thought this book was an awesome addition to the genre.
Great character development, steamy sex scenes and twists and turns to be able to sink into the book.
This book is Amazing so get to it!

I really enjoyed this book. my only wished is that sometimes I felt that this book was rushed in places. The storyline was good and I really liked the chemistry between Hanna and Aiden. Hanna had lost everything due to her brother Carter and she couldnt forgive him. so when she had a chance to get her home back Hanna jumped at it. But then she started to hear things about Aiden that she couldnt let slide, She is a confident woman who knows what she wants but does she know everything about Aiden???? I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Saving Hanna is sort of a modern day Cinderella story with an over the top ending. The two main characters were very likeable, romance was sweet and the sex scenes hot. But the story was very simple and predictable until the ending. The ending got a bit bazaar. And I would have liked an epilogue. What happens next, where do they live, what happens to the farm, what does Aidan do for a living? I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Hanna loved her country life, family and the farm. One day it was all taken from her. Waitressing in a diner hoping to buy back the farm she meets Aiden. He makes a deal with her. One night with her and she can have her farm back. As soon as the deal is offered, Hanna’s life is not the same.
Story is filled with suspense and betrayal.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I couldn't stop reading this book. I really enjoyed the storyline. I felt the characters were really well developed, even if one of them wasn't held accountable for his actions; Well, such is life. I would have liked to have read a feel good ending in an epilogue section, but that's what my imagination is for. I was a little confused about Aiden and Carter's history. A little more history about their business dealings would help for clarity. I would highly recommended reading this book.

Loved this book. Hannah lost what was once her life way and has to start over thanks to someone she thought she could trust. Then comes in someone who can help her but things are not always what they seem. Can they work it out together? I received a review copy from reading deals and voluntarily review it.
At first I was really starting to enjoy getting to know Hanna then I felt that I was half way through the book and hadn't discovered more about Hanna and Aiden. The story jumped to quickly to the ending for me feel like there is so much more that we could have discovered in there Journey .
Hanna brother lost the family farm. The one thing she's worked hard for and loved. Loved the chemistry between Aiden and Hanna. And how he just wants to take care of her. But he also has secret agenda of his own. This was a new author to me and I loved the book!! I received an ARC for free and this is my honest opinion .
I think this has a really good story and intention, but it’s literally one major event to the next. I don’t even know what the timeline was... like 5 days? A month gap in the beginning and a couple weeks at the end. I just feel like it should have been developed more. It’s got some steamy scenes, but it actually has a good plot too. Just too rushed.
A quick read. Hanna is trying to recover the property her brother lost. Aiden has a mission to take over his father’s business. These two meet not by chance but by design. Aiden is infatuated with Hanna and wants her to fulfill his obligations. There is drama that could keep them apart as well as kill them. They find common ground in adversity and ultimately love.

This was a great book. The length was perfect, detailed but not dragged out. I enjoyed the characters and story line. The author made it easy to follow and relate to both Hanna and Aiden.
