Pretty much a cookie cutter thriller. Former military sniper that has been co-opted by the CIA for their own use. The only thing that sets this apart from so many like it is the paranormal aspect given Stone by The Watchers.

A DN. Mystery Thriller (DSBS. - 3)/ Middle Europe/ A Girl in the Run

DN. has. penned the third novel in the Dan Stone series. DS. has always been a world traveler and his new assignment is to locate a missing girl who has left her home with no intention of returning. As usual DS. Is able the affect the mission with his weapons expertise. Once established in the trail he has difficult times rescuing anyone let alone a teenage girl. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

Interesting series.

Started with the first 2 books and moved on to the third. I enjoy reading each book and wander about certain things we do not know about. If there is a higher calling trying too stop evil he would give powers to certain people to handle that evil. Just like if someone was sick a higher power would put them in the hands of a skilled doctor. I will continue to read the series. I would recommend this series to any reader of action, espionage, and counter terrorism.

Dan stone series are captivating!

I just finished the 3rd book of the Dan Stone series & would keep finding myself fighting sleep to read more. There are grammatical errors in each book but I found i could easily overlook them because the stories were so intriguing. Now looking for more David Nees series.

The captive Girl

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! Great character descriptions and a great story line. Love the twists and turns the Watchers add a lot to the plot. Many people have gone through life running into situations that they swear they have been in before. Having a feeling should never be ignored!

A Good Series So Far!

So I'm enjoying this author and the series so far.
Some good action and drama as well as the spiritual element coming into play; which I would normally groan at but it's pretty interesting so far.
Fast moving and good research on the whole with few inconsistencies, but minor.
Starting the next in the series presently......
Thanks for a good read

Twists and turns wound into a superb tail

The border line mystical involvement added in a believable way,and doesn't make the story depend too heavily on it,or take away from the action of all the players involved while skillfully adding future characters, really make this book an enjoyable read.

Many new Twists

Something completely different, but not entirely unbelievable to those of us who have traveled the world, experienced some of David Nees’ plots personally, and lived to see 80 years. If you do not believe there is a greater power this book will still be good reading. If you do, then it will feed your inner thoughts!

Great read

Yes he gets some things wrong, it's. 223 not . 225 for an M4 5.56 mm but there aren't the glaring technical errors that run it for you. He gets a lot of things right.. Well worth the read

All three books in Stone series

Good characters, now evolving into more interesting plots and locations. A little strange dynamic with a bit of mysticism tossed in, curious to see how that element develops.

Excellent

This book was so different than the last one. However, it was just as good of not better. The characters are being developed and several new characters are introduced to the team. I can't wait for the next book!

Outstanding and Different Read

Plot not necessarily new, but much more realistic and emotional - a good thing! Sudden changes in scenarios and the addition of secondary characters is outstanding. I really like this author and look forward to follow on novels!

Great series.

Very accurate writing. Research and background show a lot very hard work. A glowing error in detail will cause me to dump or throw down a book. I read “The Captive Girl” nonstop. It took all day and into the night, but it was worth it!

The captive girl

Easy book to enjoy although the ability of the hero to function as he did following the injuries supposedly visited upon him was a little much. The paranormal parts I can accept but not the superhuman.

Very Good Story

This series is really starting to develop. A very different premise, which is fun. Also doing a nice job of character development and relationships. Sure hope the story lines continue the action, intrigue and surprises.

Fast paced action.

Dan is back but this time, new characters are thrown in the mix. Kind of hard to swallow that two guys from the Unit would be a bit slower than Dan but I guess that the author must keep the main character as the hero of the story. Regardless, excellent story.

Dan gets better

This second book told me more and more about what makes Dan ticks Also more info on his boss. Part of this episode has to do with Evie and the turmoil of her life. Sick father drove her into a terrible lifestyle. Dan's kindness brought her back to .a good girl.
