With every circle, hell is getting hotter...
Ciera and her three companions are travelling further into the nine circles, more determined than ever before. But it isn't just demons and trials they have to worry about, the Devil has set his eye on Ciera and is doing everything possible to stop her succeeding.
She's determined not to let him, and with her men by her side, and her new talents emerging, there's nothing Ciera can't do. But there's always a price to pay in hell....

What an ending! This is book two in the Hells calling series which I’ve been listening to by narrator Hiral Varsani. Most of the action was in the second half of this book.

Ciera is continuing her journey into the depths of hell. She has her three paranormal men with her but her own morals are being tested. To find the devil you must give up the light.

I really like this series. All the characters are loveable and unique. As the story unfolds we get a little more of each persons story. This instalment has themes of an adult nature.

This is a continuous story and will leave you desperate for book 3 which is already available.

ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is book two in the Infernal Descent series. I listened to this on audiobook, and to be honest, I started this RIGHT after I finished book one. I was and am impressed that I finally found a paranormal reverse harem series that has held my interest on audio. ADD usually makes that pretty difficult for me.

In book two, we continue following Ciera's journey through "hell" to find her sister Tris whom has been kidnapped by Lucifer himself. Ciera is accompanied by "her" three paranormal men who have slowly but surely fell for Ciera as she has for him.
They face several dangers as they continue on through the levels of hell in an attempt to find Tris. But there's so much Ciera does not know still.
This book is so great. The world building and character development continues to be so amazing. I've already started listening to book 3!

The tides have certainly turned here and not in Ciera’s favor. There’s a huge info dump at the end that I’m not a fan of. The storyline goes from a gradual jaunt through Hell into warp speed where before you know it Ciera’s facing the final circle of Hell and she’s not alone. Along the way she captures the attention of some demons who tag along assisting and keeping her alive. Honestly it’s harder hot like her this time around considering how ignorant and dumb she is about and more importantly in hell. Like why is she so surprised there’s so much horrible suffering and shit going on?! And why if her most important task is to rescue her sister does she keep trying to interfere in other peoples eternal damnation and torment? She irked me this time around and her falling in love with them not only feels sudden but kinda ridiculous. It’s clear the time scale in Hell is a lot longer than it appears but from a readers perspective it felt too instalove for me. Her sudden feelings were bit odd to come so soon after knowing them all. Ends with a cliffy and everyone’s life hangs in the balance but I’m sure some rescue is on the way… hopefully!

This series is so unique and keeps getting better. I love the world that these authors created, it's rich and fascinating. Ciera kicks some serious butt along with her men. I love seeing their relationship grow and develop. There's excitement, danger, and action in this book. I can't wait for the next one!

The narration is the audio is absolutely fantastic. She brings the story and characters to life and I can’t get enough.

Holy Lucifer did Hell just get hotter? I could NOT put this book down, and after the way it ended I cannot wait for Hell's Burning to release!

We have one super steamy, deliciously scandalous, cave scene involving Ciera, a hellhound, a werewolf, and an angel. we have some crazy, intense fight scenes. We have some amazingly deceptive new secondary characters (some of which I hope reappear at some point). And we have the hinting of something more to do with Tris.

This is the second book in the Infernal Descent series and picks up where book one left off. We watch as Ciera navigates towards where her sister is being held and we see some really shocking things happen in a couple of the levels. Finding happiness with her guys is something Ciera is coming to realize along the way of her travels. I can not wait to see what is in store for the next book.

Hell is hot but her men are hotter!

This book seemed to have been a long time coming and it was definitely worth the wait. I loved the continuation of Ciera's journey through Hell with her men (who are absolutely hotter than Hell) to save her little sister. Bea and Skye have done a fantastic job in co-authoring this book. I couldn't see the join!
After an intriguing prologue which gives us insight that Ciera does not have, this book starts where Hell's Calling finished, dropping us right into the action.
Ciera is strong, brave, and loving. She adores her little sister and is growing to adore her three companions as well. Her feelings for each of her three men are becoming more obvious, to them and to us, and their feelings for her are no mystery. The three men are distinct characters and I love them all. Who wouldn't? They are following her through Hell of their own accord, not quite sure why they started this journey but well aware of why they are continuing it. They are her companions and protectors and want to be so much more. So far, it has been a slow burn but the temperature rises now and Ciera finds out just how much they want her. The escalation of their relationship felt organic and just right for the pace of the book, the troubles they have faced, and the situation they found themselves in.
Ciera's resolve to reach the centre of Hell and rescue her sister from Lucifer is stronger than ever, but each Circle presents its own challenge. One of the Circles in particular throws a real curve ball at Ciera, which I did not see coming, and leaves us teetering on that awful cliff edge as the book finishes. The epilogue promises much for the next book which I anticipate will be even better than this one.

Bea and Skye did a fabulous job with this sequel to their Dante's Inferno reimagined story, Hell's Calling! Bea and Skye did amazing world building in Book 1 and they really focused on building the relationships between Ciera and her 3 delicious men, which I wholeheartedly enjoyed. In this part of the series, we get to see Ciera kick more butt with her archery skills, see her walls come down (along with some of the guys), introduced to new side characters that are sometimes fun and sometimes sooooo bad hahaha.

I was blown away from the prologue alone, it kinda hits you in the gut when you realize what's going on, but it makes for a more intense and amazing story. I didn't see all the twists coming in this story which was a nice change of pace to some stories recently that you could see what was going to happen way in advance. I will say I was head over heels for Ceb in Book 1 and liked Maro too. I could care less about Plutus in Book 1, buuuuuut Bea and Skye really changed my mind. I liked seeing the different sides to the guys and the cave scene..... *fans self*. Also liked the tension that was created with everyone the farther into hell they went (esp. the light situation with Maro and how that was resolved).

I can't wait to meet Lucifer and see how Ciera handles him. I think Bea and Skye nailed the darker parts of this story, taking some notes from Dante himself. The trees man, those things hit me in the feels (not the best thing while reading it on a plane with my coworker right next to me haha). I will say there were some British phrases I was completely clueless about and had to ask Google/ask some Brits to help me out haha. All in all, create follow up to Book 1 and here's to hoping Book 3 is in our near future ❤️

Ciera and her angel, hellhound, and werewolf are on a journey through the circles of hell on their way to rescue Ciera's baby sister from Lucifer. The devil is aware of Ciera's presence and is now actively sending dangers her way to make each circle's test even more deadly. Hell is well, hell but Ciera and her men are growing closer and finding happiness with one another along the way. This frightens Ciera as much as the horrors she's witnessing. She always loses everyone she loves.

Hells' Weeping picks up Ciera's journey exactly where book one left off and doesn't miss a beat. I am still amazed that these two talented authors have managed to make Dante's Inferno into an RH. Their creativity is off the charts. New circles mean new characters, unexpected reunions, new dangers, and a growing closeness between Ciera and her men. The slow-burn of the first book is replaced with total hotness once Ciera claims the men as hers. The men are deliciously hot! Ceb, the giant hellhound teddy bear with his lasting good-humor, Plutus with his intensity, and everything Maro. These three bring an unimaginable level of hotness to Hell.

Two notes. The Prologue broke my heart. I still haven't come to terms with it. It changes everything. The ending is brutal and its Epilogue is intriguing. I loved this story and can't wait for the next book where hopefully we reach the center. There's sure to be plenty more fire and brimstone, sexy hellhounds, impassioned werewolves, glorious angels and one incredible human. It's sure to be divine!

Hell's burning heat is getting more intense the further they go.
Ciera and her three men are getting closer to their destination and have the strength to face whatever comes at them.
They have plenty of problems including hell demons and trials to pass but the Devil will be the worst.
The devil seems to want Ciera and is trying to stop her progress at every turn.
Her determination only grows stronger and her will to succeed only strengthens also.
With these three men by her side and her talents, she will stop at nothing for her goal.
She will not escape hell without paying a price.

Another action packed and explosive story which follows the four journeying deeper into hell.
I love the bond they have to Ciera, finally admitting love for each other in the face of danger
This has been written to continue the drama, the violence, the tension and the challenges.
I adore how these two authors have weaved this story with each portion of this world bringing new problems.
I am falling for Maro, Ceb and Plutus myself and think their protection of their little human is touching and endearing.
This is truly a slice of perfection but I need to taste the next dish to be satiated.
It is so gripping and without effort is a delight to read...a surprise or two appears in this book.
A triumph and a success in my eyes that will be etched into my brain.

*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from the author*

It's about a 3.5 - 4 stars for me.

As of right now, it's actually Tris, the little sister Ciera's trying to save, that has me extremely excited. The first book set everything up to where it's really engaging and you want to know what's going to happen, but when it ended the way it did, you really needed to read this book right after if you wanted to avoid losing the momentum, but that's just me, of course. I like Ciera. She overcame a big hurtle in the first book, but in this one, she seems to be content as is. And it's not a bad thing. Trusting others was always a hardship and she finally overcame that with the guys, so it's nice to see her loving them.

In Hell's Weeping, however, there doesn't seem to be any other major thing she has to overcome. She just has to love them. So it's more like a moment to bask in the good things. Don't get me wrong, there are other things she has to be okay with, but they didn't seem as suspenseful, considering they already feel 'good' enough to not worry over. And if there isn't much to worry over, the excitement kind of slowly loses its momentum for me. I actually found myself wanting to know what Tris was up to, and if Ciera's story ends and leads into Tris', I am so. Down. For. That.

Now this book opens with quite the surprise as the gate to the sixth circle opens and the dead swarm through. Ciera also notices that the closer to the center they get the more the glow of Maro fades.

Led into an ambush by a centaur named Oumy who has rainbow hair, it looks like Ciera's journey might come to an end here. It's quite the battle.

Next up is the centaur Chiron who just happens to be Cerberus' brother. Not a calm reunion at all. But it's the questioning that has Ciera wondering even more about her angel Maro. At least until he clarifies his answer to her.
Then the forest of the seventh circle, followed by rains of hellfire. It's here that things really heat up (pun intended) between Ciera and her guys as they are trapped waiting for the firestorm to end.

Of course things just get worse and there are many surprises here. I did some laughing, some crying and needed to hydrate a bit too. Definitely plenty of heat in more than one way.

I'm just going to move on to the final book in this trilogy, I really have to finish, I am hoping for a happy ending here.

Summary: Story is fast-paced, action-packed, and with mind-blowing adventures.

Please beware of the cliffhanger in this book, for if it's not because of Tris's POV, it will make you dive immediately to the next one. Yes, you hear me right, Tris is making an appearance in this book, the first time I read from Tris, I thought, how could a three years old girl give her POV? That was before we got the explanation, and it all makes sense.

Ciera and her companions manage to move on to deeper circles in Hell, and the obstacles are getting harder. I believe if Ciera is alone in that damned place, she wouldn't be able to pull it off. Now, how will Ciera find a way to rescue Tris after the revelation from her mother? It's like the devil collected Tris as promised and not because of her 🤔. It sounds like Ciera is off the hook, right?

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Oh buddy what a great new installment to this remake of Dante's Inferno!! Ciera is still steadily traveling through the circles of hell in an effort to save her sister who was taken in book one. The world is getting quite detailed by this point as we move deeper into the levels and all three of the guys are around to help her through. There is some awesome relationship building going on as they get to now one another better as well as quite a few surprises that will throw you for a loop. I so cannot wait wait to see what happens next after the way this one ended. Perfect for fans of fantasy RH books. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

Woah does this book get hotter this time around. I sure did not see that coming.

Get ready cause Ciera is on a mission. Now the devil knows she is coming and will do what he can to delay her. Unfortunately Ciera was not given one important information about hell. I don't want to know what will happen when she finds out. That could get ugly. Anyways she does encounter a few battles with the guys. The attraction is no longer just visual, it gets physical. Which in turns helps out the guys. As they get closer to hell, the test get harder. Will she be ready. What will happen to the guys? Will she heed the advice given.

This series is a slow burn but the connections the characters make is strong. I can't wait to read what happens next.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW of the second book in the Infernal Descent series, Hell's Weeping by Skye MacKinnon and Bea Paige. This read picks up where the first book ended. Ciera, Maro, Plutus and Cerberus continue their journey through the nine rings of Hell in an attempt to save Ciera's sister Tris. There are many secrets revealed, tons of drama, demons both familiar and deadly and finally moments of emotional discovery. (Mature Readers Only) The more I read, the more I want. We are moments from Ciera discovering Tris and the read sets up for the next book! You won't be able to put it down. This series must be read in the order written.

The furthering adventures of Ciara and her entourage takes us further and further into the depths of hell. As Ciara fights to get to her sister she must face the darkness that exists inside her and her men. Her growing distain for the sinners that she must pass leaves her with more questions than answers about what she is doing and why.

An excellent follow up to the first book in the series. We get to know the characters better, as well as the motivations that drive them individually and as a group. The world building is extraordinary and makes the reader become further in meshed in the adventures that the group is going through.

A Must Read for all who enjoy action/adventure books that exist in a extraordinary world.

Hell's Weeping was a great second book of the series. The prologue gave us some interesting information which was always in the back of my mind. This information Ciera doesn't have, but I assume her companions are aware of it. After the prologue the book starts right where Hell's Calling left off and right in the heat of action. In this installment there is a little more love action. Ciera is desperate to get to the centre of Hell to save her sister and will do anything. Look out for the seventh circle....
It was a great story written by SKye MacKinnon and Beau Paige - I couldn't tell it was written by 2 authors! Bring on book 3!

No spoilers of any kind included!
Another amazing story by Skye Mackinnon and Bea Paige, so amazing that I can’t wait until the next book in this series!
Like the book before this one it just pulls you in and it will not release you until you get to the end of the story, where you are left needing and wanting more!
So yes I most definitely do recommend this book to anyone who’s searching for a fantastic story to crawl into and get completely lost within its pages!
But if you haven’t read the first book then I highly suggest that you do otherwise you will get really confused about what’s going on and who’s who!

Hell gets hotter in this book!

I’ve never read Dante’s Inferno, so I can’t speak to the similarities since the title of the book says it’s a retelling. What I can say about this book is that it is a great sequel to Hell’s Calling! The journey through the circles of Hell continue in this book. We learn a little more about the characters, and things heat up (and it’s not because they are in Hell if you know what I mean 😉). This is a RH series so if that’s not “your cup of tea” then I suggest bypassing these books. Overall great storyline and I can’t wait until book 3 comes out!

Ciera and her men (Plutus, Maro and Ceb) need to travel the nine circles of Hell to try and save her sister Tris, but Lucifer knows they are coming and he is determine to stop her. Will Ciera and her men get passed what Lucifer has planned for them? What price might they pay for travelling in hell? I love the feisty determine Ciera, and her protective supernatural men Plutus, Maro and Ceb (although I think Ceb might be my favourite, so far). I love the banter, the dangers they face and I look forward to the next book.

If you haven’t already, read book one first. This picks up where book one leaves off. So you need the story.
I love the description of the levels of hell. It’s intriguing. We finally get some steamy scenes with Our guys, Ceb, Maro and Plutus. They’re off to try and save baby sister, of course the devil is a jerk and causes problems along the way. Imagine that? Can our strong girl complete her journey? Is all lost or will she prevail and make the devil look like the snot nosed brat he is?? Read and find out 😊

Oh, wow, Ms. MacKinnon did it again! She completely wowed me with the way she took this story. My jaw dropped several times from her revelations. The prologue was so sad and when I got to the last page I wanted more.
This is the second book in the series and you must read Book 1 to understand this one.
Ciera continues through the levels of hell and each level down is worse than the last. The descriptions of each level brought me into the story with Ciera and her men.

I absolutely love this trilogy, Ciera finally realises she’s in love with her three companions but she’s in a race against time to save her sister Tris. Although I love how she has inappropriate thoughts/musing at the worse times it’s hilarious. And oh man, the prologue had me hook, line and sinker and I wonder how Ciera is going to cope when she finds out about her sister. So many twists, and a great line up of creatures along the way to the inner sanctum of Hell. Watch out Lucifer you know how the saying goes “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned” and Ciera is on a war path!

As the second installment from the series, the story starts off from where it left last time; battling some undead heretics. This book continues the journey of Ciera as she navigates toward the center of hell, where her sister is supposedly being held. Through of all this, Ciera and her men get to know each other more. Emotions are running high and there are pretty intense revelations. There's one particular revelation that I didn't see coming though and that ending? I can't wait to read the last installment.

This book picks up right where book 1 ends. If you enjoyed Hell’s Calling you should enjoy Hell’s Weeping as well. Ceira is a resilient woman who has dealt with a bad lot in life and done the very best she can for herself and her sister. The men are each strong willed with distinct personalities. The storyline heats up as Ceira and her men are venturing further through the circles of hell. Their relationships deepen as they are thrown several surprises along the way. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next installment.

This is book 2 to A Retelling of Dante’s Inferno ( Infernal Descent ) and I can’t wait to get my hands on book 3 this is such an excellent story and I enjoyed it immensely. Ciera and her guys are getting deeper in to hell Ciera needs to find and save her sister and along the way things get very steamy with her men. But the devil will do everything he can to stop Ciera but she’s not going to let him, this spitfire of a girl will give as good as she gets and I can’t wait for that to happen. This is an amazing story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

This of course is the second book in the series and what a ride it is. Our band of fantastically developed characters are venturing further into the circles of hell with so many trials and tribulations throughout their way. We learn a bit more about our characters as we see them growing. They fight hard and have moments of humor in the story. It is well written and has beautifully developed characters. The flow of the story is superb. I love the story has the Dante's Inferno twist to it. This is a must read as well as the first book in the series.

The continuation of Ciera’s story was just as gripping as the first book. Ciera is a firecracker who won’t let anyone get in the way of her mission to save her sister. During the book we find out more of motivations and back stories to the men in Cieras life, as well as just how passionate they can be! Hiral Varsani is an enjoyable narrator who brings the world to life, though if you get annoyed by how some words are pronounced you might find yourself trying to correct her at times. Overall if you enjoyed the first book I would highly recommend the sequel.
