The Tenth Girl #10

Down We'll Come, Baby

Rate this book
Imogen

There is no way we can still love and cherish one and other.

When I married Theo Walsh, the rough, bearded townie who worked construction on my family’s summer house, I’d found my happily ever after.

That was before the fighting.

Before the jealousy.

Before the infertility.

We’ll be divorced long before death does us part.

But to secure my place in the family dynasty, there is just one more hoop I have to jump through. And I need him to do it.

Faking the marriage we once thrived in will gut me.

Especially with the secret I’m carrying.

Theo

I would have sacrificed for her until the end of time.

My job.
My home.

My happiness.

I’d given it all up to marry her. That’s how much I loved Imogen Weston, the daughter to one of the world’s richest families.

From the day we met, I’d done nothing but try to live up to the man she expected to be with. And now, I was done.

Sure, I’d complete this one final ask of hers, even if it destroyed me.

But I’ve made her promise the one thing that might save me. She swore that after she got everything she ever wanted, she wouldn’t look back.

I made my wife vow to leave me forever.

I really wanted to choke the life out of my kindle. I was close to throw it out of the window.

I made it to 77% and I couldn’t continue reading about this woman. She left hero and asked him for a divorce. She put him thorough the ringer because she wanted a position in her father’s company. She blamed their infertility issues on him. She said they weren’t happy.

This woman didn’t deserve this man. A man who loved her wholeheartedly. I don’t know what he saw in her. She was too pathetic, too weak, she was her parents puppet. I actually wanted the hero to divorce her and fall for another woman. Yes I know, I’m being a bitch here.

Hero deserves someone who loved him for what he is. A man that had no money but he worked hard to provide for her, a man who took a job he hated from her family for her. Her family treated him horrible, they liked to humiliate him along with her parents friends. They looked at him like he was worth shit to them and she let them treat her husband like that.

She became pregnant and hid her pregnancy from him. She didn’t have any plans to tell him that she was pregnant. She blamed him because he told her if he helped her secure a position in her father’s company she needed to give him a divorce. She resented him because she lost their baby before, She thought he blamed her for her miscarriage when he didn’t. He supported her, showed her love when she didn’t show any love to him. I hated her. And in case you’re wondering this man was faithful to her even when she didn’t deserve it. He wanted to make his marriage work.

So yea, at 77% Hero was very much faithful to his wife. He was a good man who really loved her. If he had cheated on her she would’ve deserve it.

Except I’d opened this door. Now, she would go to my father, and the two of them would start plotting on how my divorce would play out to paint the family in the best light. They would smear Theo’s name. They would no doubt make me do things that I’d question, that were morally wrong. But they were my family. I was no longer going to be a Walsh. And as much as I tried to deny that I needed their brand of love, their approval, their protection … I was always going to come back into the Weston fold.

“What fight? The one where you sink to the level of your debasing family? That you let your father dictate your entire life, that you’re ruled by their money? You know, Immy, if you just gave this all up … maybe you could be happy.”

“Why do you even care, Theo? You don’t have to deal with them anymore, or what you consider my weakness to stay loyal to my family. You want me gone just as much as I want to leave. So drop it and let’s get this over with.”

“You’re right, I don’t care. It’s just pathetic watching you grovel at their feet. But what did I expect? You always were more dedicated to them than you ever were to me.” His words are like a slap, harsh and stinging across my face.

“You weren’t going to tell me, were you!” I point an accusatory finger at my wife.
“You were just going to let me go back to Nantucket and never find out that I had a child!”

Down We’ll Come Baby is a heartbreaking story of one couples journey to happiness. It was messy, selfish at times, and painful but you couldn’t help but want more. You wanted to see the heartbreak, feel the love, understand the anger, and embrace the unknown because at the end of the day, you were rooting for them. After all, love always wins right?

Imogen Walsh is at a crossroads in her life. Her marriage is on the brink of being over, her professional career is at a stand still, and the one that she truly wants more than life itself, she’ll never be able to have. Starting over and trying to appease her parents sounds like the best thing she can do right about now no matter how it looks to her soon to be ex husband. But before she can make it to a top position in her family’s company, she has to go through a few hoops and that plan includes her husband and their broken marriage.

From the moment he laid eyes on the blonde beauty, Theo Walsh was a goner falling head first. He knew that Imogen was the woman he was going to spend the rest of his life with and there was nothing in this life that he wanted more. For five years he’s had this woman that he’s called his wife, lover, best friend and soul mate. For five years, they’ve been through it all but it just wasn’t enough to save their marriage. When a request is made for their divorce to go on hold, that moment changes the course of Theo and Imogen’s life. Will these two find their way back to each other? Or will they move on?

“Is that why divorce is so brutal? Because it takes two people who once shared love and dismantles every emotion between them until they don’t know each other at all?”

I really loved that this story was about a married couple. We got to witness their ups and downs through certain flash backs and were crossing our fingers that by some miracle, these two would find their way back to each other. I loved that Theo never held any punches and he was always honest with what he wanted and where he stood. He loved Imogen with a passion that was never questionable and he just wanted HER. I did have a major issue with Imogen if I’m being completely honest and because of that, I didn’t connect with her as much as I would’ve liked to and I felt like she needed to do more.

Aside from that, I enjoyed this one and I think if you’re a fan of this author’s writing, so will you.

Odié a la protagonista
Me cayó GOOORDA!!!

I can't even begin describe the emotional roller coaster this book took me on. This love story is painful but so beautiful. My poor heart aches so good after reading this one! An absolute must read!

First of all, let me say I love books that start off with a couple already married and this couple was SO IN LOVE. They had passion and friendship, faithfulness and a great sex life. They should have had the perfect life. But what happens when love is not enough? Theo and Imogen are from two different worlds. Imogen grew up in a WASP family with the luxurious lifestyle and habits of old money. Theo on the other hand was a blue collar worker in construction and certainly not who her family would have hand picked for her. While these differences were not important for either of them, it forced them both to make sacrifices to be together.

Theo absolutely stole my heart. This is a man everyone wants to love them. Faithfulness, loyalty and adoration never looked so sexy. He was so resolute in his love for his wife. He really never stopped fighting for her.
And it's about this time that I implode. "YOU ARE MINE!" My words are strangled with pain, hoarse with desperation. I am losing her, to her family and... I don't know what to do anymore.

I did feel that Imogen was probably the more selfish person in their marriage, but you know what? I loved that they were not perfect. This book was so real and raw and open and honest! Watching this couple struggle had me just about come undone! I felt their love. I felt their pain and their struggle. I HURT WITH THEM!
"I love you for better for worse, and that is a vow I will never break. Sometimes, the plans we have for ourselves just don't agree with the journey this world has set out for us."

This is just a taste of the beautiful writing in this book. Have you ever been so engrossed in a book that you lose all sense of time. That's how I felt reading this. You can't help but be captivated by this heart wrenching love story that flowed so seamlessly. Rest assured, Theo and Imogen do find their HEA. This book had so much heart and simply put, it was amazing!

Messy, heartbreaking, painful. These aren't the words one wishes to use to describe their marriage, but they are the words that Imogen Walsh and her husband, Theo, are using. At a difficult time in their lives they should be turning to each other, but Imogen is searching for fulfillment at her family's company, contemplating turning her back on the Walsh name and embracing all the expectations that come from walking back into her family's fold. Theo is left feeling much like the sea, crashing and flowing, but never really reaching land. When a chance at the forever love they once wanted presents itself again, Theo and Imogen must choose to either embrace fear or risk losing true love for good.

I have never been married, I have never come from a wealthy family dynasty, and I've never faced the trials and tribulations that Imogen and Theo faced, but I feel like I have after reading Down We'll Come, Baby. Carrie Aarons weaves a heartbreaking tale of love, loss, and the powerful sense of duty one can feel. Imogen is a woman who made a choice for a love, a woman who is now reconsidering what love means for her in the face of pain and the offering of wealth and status. She's a difficult heroine to like, a villian more so than a hurting wife. She is at the center of this novel and while one could easily dislike her, it is also very apparent that she is grasping at straws as her life tumbles in on her. Theo, the handsome, rugged construction worker and husband to Imogen, is the best part of this novel. His love is unwavering, his heartbreak is palpable, and the steps he's willing to take to make things right, to have love, is just incredible. His love for Imogen can only be described as all consuming passion.

Down We'll Come, Baby is an unpredictable romance with so much angst your heart won't stop hurting until the very last page. It features realistic marriage hurdles and while I didn't always connect with the heroine, it has a couple that discovers just how much they're willing to fight for love. It is another well-developed novel from Carrie Aarons, an author whose character development and interactions I always love. It's painful, it's steamy, it's romantic, it's a book you must read if you love romance with a touch of reality.

Imogen is married to Theo and she was a rich girl getting married to a blue collar guy. Doing that she lost many privilages and one of them being her rightful place in her family's business and she now wants them back, after leaving her husband because of infertility issues.

Theo is in love with his wife, but he still gets mad when she abandons him and asks from him a last favor that he will accept, but doesn't mean this doesn't break him any less.

With everything between them keeping them apart a secret comes between them and that will either break them apart once and for all or will bring them back together.

This wasn't my first book by Carrie and won't be my last, but it wasn't my favorite one. I adored Theo, but I didn't like Imogen and even I did feel sorry for her at times, I couldn't understand many of her actions. Hopefully others will enjoy it more than I did, because I do love this author's writing.

“I always think about white roses at a funeral. White roses mean someone has died,” Imogen murmurs to herself. Her green eyes look up into mine, and I want to erase every disaster that has happened to us. But I can’t. So I reply with the only truth I know. “Haven’t we?”

Down We'll Come Baby is my first ride on the Carrie Aarons train of emotion and God, this story was so painfully heartbreaking.

I had three miscarriages and two failed IVF attempts, I dealt with the needles, the countless shots and the pills, I endured the wait, the pain, the hurt and the loss.
So, yeah I know how a real heartbreak feels.

“I will never be the person I was before that day; the loss of our baby changed my makeup. That kind of loss, the kind that rearranges your brain cells and guts half your organs … a person cuts out a part of themselves to recover from that kind of tragedy.”

As much as angsty this book was, and as much as I sometimes hated the way Imogen treated Theo, I couldn't but love their story and feel my heart breaks all over again. Theo and Imogen's journey was tough and heartbreaking but sometimes, God sends you miracles and signs to tell you to never give up.

Theo would have been so much better off without Imogen. I can’t understand what he ever saw in her. She never once thought about him and what he was going through. Everything was all about her. He bent over backwards to keep her happy and what does she do for him? Absolutely nothing!!

I really enjoyed this book. I love Books that have to do with married couples overcoming things and this one pulled at my heart strings. With these characters pasta and the risk of no future the author really wrote a beautiful story of a marriage in shambles but them working through it. I was really annoyed with Imogen in this story. She won’t be on my list of favorite female leads but as the book went on I was able to understand her more. I sympathized with her more.

Theo was totally amazing! Right from the start I loved his character. He was a jerk at times but I was able to connect with him and fell for him hard. I wanted him to get his HEA. He deserved it. The overall story was great, the characters were great and decent and the plot when it came to Imogen’s family was the catalyst of this story. I totally recommend this book to romance fans. 4 stars #2OCCJD

Unforgivable: Divorcing for everyone's sake but her own husband's(who is madly in love with her) then hiding a HUGE secret while faking a 'happy marriage' for society's sake. Things I teach my daughter never to do, all in a book.

How do I sum this book up without letting any cats out? I have no clue. I started reading on the bus journey to work, by nine percent I was already in tears, yes, whilst on the bus, no care given. None. Zero. Zilch. Anyway, I carried on reading whilst doing the return bus journey home and no sooner did I get home and kick my shoes off, I jumped back in. Fast forward through nightly chores, etc, and I was back into this gem and I didn’t put it down until I read those sweet tortuous words: The End. The number of times being driven into reading as if I gasp for air after swimming is something I can count on both hands and still have spare fingers.

This is a book of three parts: Imogen’s and Thero’s point of view and the walks down memory lane we relive right along with them. Each memory is shared to shove the reader into the emotions as well as the history that these two have endured. Plenty of them are hard to read for one reason or another. They are surely soul mates for true. Their world throws them on a spin cycle more than once and each time they break just a little bit more. How can two people who truly are two halves of a whole not be together? They’d have been safer in a war zone if you ask me.

Imogen’s family play a huge part in destroying their lives. In a class equal to the Vanderbilt’s. True WASPs through and through. Troubles are shoved under overpriced Persian rugs and ignored; only when Imogen marries a “Townie” they can’t shove that much under the rug. Her father is as evil as I have seen without being a TV villain. I daresay off page he rubs his hands gleefully several times. I often found myself wondering how any woman in her thirties could allow her father such control, having said that, I don’t come from old money or high society. Theo gives up so much for his wife. More than anyone has the right to ask. Yet she never asks, he gives and gives and when the cookie crumbles for the final time Imogen is the one who sneaks out in the middle of the night.

The entire time I experienced this book and it is an experience, I’ve talked about it so much, several friends have already one-clicked. Living their lives with them became oxygen to me and I had to know how it ended, hence why I was up until gone two in the morning reading. The book hangover was so worthwhile.

‘How do we turn it off now? Now that we’re supposed to be done. How do we stop loving each other when we had no idea that we’d stated? One day, I’d been me. And the next I’d been here. There was no in between.’

Imogen isn’t the bad person in this; she’s ignorant to what her husband is suffering. Imprisoned in a bubble of solitude and pain. Love scenes were few and far between. Imogen and Theo aren’t in a place where sex can fix them. Imogen wants to return to a normal life and the way she does it had me feeling nauseous. How can she not see that she’s selling her soul to the devil and sacrificing who she's become?

“We fell in love because we were meant to, because you stood as steady as a rock in the middle of the ocean when it came to our relationship.”

Money and stature play heavily in their marriage. Imogen and Theo aren’t the ones that put it there. She has money, Theo doesn’t. Theo is indifferent to it, he hates the level of money they have. He sees it as an anvil hanging over Imogen’s head. She sells herself short so many times and tries to explain herself in narration and I just wanted to throttle the woman. I understand how these things can be ingrained into someone but for goodness sake, have a little more self-preservation.

‘It goes against everything I’ve said to him and to myself since I left Theo... but deep down, I want him so much it’s killing me. Every day we’re together, it’s like I’m carving our pieces of my soul.’

The author did the story so much justice. From minute one there is emotion and heartbreak. No build up here, oh no. This was my read of a Carrie Aaron book and I won’t allow it to be my first. The front cover does the book so much justice. I need me a Theo. Everyone on earth deserves a Theo to love them as much as he loves his wife. He asks himself once if he’s more invested and I truly believe that he was. She held a little back whilst he went full force, balls to the wall.

‘I would cut off my right arm, taken a bullet, thrown myself in front of a train...you name the horrific maiming and I would have done it to spend my life with this woman.’

Thank you, Ms. Aaron, for getting this one out there. The subject matter was difficult at times to endure. The heartbreak and tears so worth the ending.

Talk about a comeback.

This book started a little shaky for me. I wasn't sure if I liked the leading lady. And the leading man, while I loved him, almost had me questioning his sanity as to why he put up with her. But I think that's also a sign of what an impressive and strong writer Carrie Aarons is because she managed to take those confused and conflicted emotions from the beginning and turn it into a story I really enjoyed. And even better, had me liking both main characters in the end.

This book was definitely an emotional roller coaster. It throws out the hits in the very first few pages and keeps them coming. But these characters, especially the leading lady, grow and learn and evolve as the story progresses. She learns about herself, and her marriage, and her family. I think that is the part that was so important for me and really turned things around. It wasn't just about blind love and acceptance of a person or things as they are. When a character can realize the error in their ways and/or the ways of those around them and can grow and develop accordingly, that's something I can really appreciate. I loved the forgiveness and importance of communication this book shows.

Overall I just ended up really enjoying this story and will look forward to reading more books by this fantastic author in future.

Down We'll Come, Baby is a super sweet contemporary romance with very little angst and drama.

Carrie delivers a sweet and romantic story starring Theo and Imogen (love these names). I have to say, the way this started off, I was expecting more drama than we got, but I surprisingly enjoyed the path this story went.

Imogen and Theo come from two different worlds and they truly believe that their love would conquer anything thrown in their path. That is until life took them down a path they had not anticipated.

Down We'll Come, Baby really shows that no matter how strong you think your bond is, how strong your love is, there is always something that can root deep inside you and cause even the strongest relationships to crack and crumble, if not handled properly.

As I said, this book took a direction I had not expected. There was not a whole lot of drama, but it held a lot of climatic points that kept the story moving and interesting. Theo and Imogen learn about themselves and each other as the story progresses. I love how Carrie blends the inner dialogue with each character into this story so you have a better understanding of their actions but it never takes away from the story line.

I enjoyed reading this as it was very easy yet held my attention. Definitely a great read for romance lovers.

Down We'll Come, Baby by Carrie Aarons is one of the sweetest and most beautiful love stories. It's one of those books where the characters have to decide if the love they share is worth fighting for. So prepare yourself for one emotional roller coaster.

Imogen and Theo are one of the most amazing couples. I loved these two together more than I can say. They seemed to make each other better and they completely get one another. Even if Theo didn't agree with Imogen's families way of doing things, he still loved her unconditionally and that never wavered. Imogen sets out trying to find her way back to herself because her and Theo go through so much loss together that she just can't seem to figure out if they can love each other like they always have. But what she doesn't see is how Theo feels, how even thinking of losing her is breaking him and that no matter how it all goes, he's going to love her till his last breathe. Theo was my absolute favorite thing about this book. His sincerity and love are breathtaking. By the end of the book, I was swooning and so full of love. I enjoyed getting to know these characters and watching their love fight to overcome every obstacle that's thrown their way.

I give Down We'll Come, Baby by Carrie Aarons 4 out of 5 STARS!

What an emotional love story. Theo was just amazing from beginning to end. Imogen wasn’t bad but it took a lot for me to warm up to her. My feelings for her were up and down but poor thing had no choice to be the way she was because of her family who I despised.

These two were going thru a rollercoaster in their relationship and Theo never gave up. They were from completely different sides she was a multi millionaire and he was a blue collar with no family but he was the sweetest and did anything for her. Imogen had her moments when I was so proud of her, times I felt sorry for her and times I wanted to shake her. But when she finally came to her senses I loved it!!!!! When these two finally straighten out their relationship they were a stronger duo. I loved these two!!!

Imogen friend Nicole was very funny. This book showed that all the money in the world doesn’t buy happiness.

This book!!! Omg this book. This book had me sobbing into my pillow while my husband slept beside me because you it was that emotional and that amazing!

For the first half of this book I wanted to reach into the pages of the book and slap Imogen right in the face! I was so angry as her actions and how she was treating her husband when was only trying to love her. Once Imogen finally got her act together and realized that she was making some really poor choices I found a love for her that was buried deep within.

I loved that this story was not all hearts and flowers. This was about the real struggles that marriages have which is refreshing and true to life. Carrie managed to capture the truth that lots of married couples have, some that end happily and some that don’t (fortunately these two got their HEA).

5 stars for this out of the box romance about fighting for love instead of falling in love.

Interview with Carrie Aarons
I met Author Carrie Aarons at a book signing and was completely enchanted. She is beautiful, charming and so incredibly kind. Flash forward to a few weeks ago when this book cover hits my screen featuring a handsome, burly man... and the tag line: I would have sacrificed for her until the end of time. I had to read this book and devoured it in an evening!

Down We'll Come, Baby, is a steamy, yet complex story about a married couple falling apart. What I loved was the change in the standard romantic formula. The heroine is flawed and the hero will stop at nothing to get his wife back. I had the opportunity to pick Author Carrie Aaron's brain on everything from marriage to infertility and the good (and bad!) choices we make.

This SPOILER FREE interview is hidden in the spotlight section just in case...

Okay I have to say this first that I LOVED and HATED this story. It made me mad, pissed off, and cry and then laugh and smile at some of the things that happened to this couple. I have to say that I really hated Imogen at first. She was elfish and she wanted what she wanted and did not care if it hurt anyone to get it. I wanted to jump threw my kindle and biatch slap her a few times. She comes from money and when she marries someone who doesn't have money but is willing to work his arse off to get her everything she wanted she still wasn't happy.

I loved loved Theo. He stole my heart from the first page because he was a hard worker and knew what he wanted and went after it even though he knew they would never work out but he still pursued Imogen and when he got her he was happy. His life was complete and he needed for nothing as long as long as he had her.

Then his world changed one day when Imogen wanted a divorce so she could get a top position in her fathers company and get in her families good graces. Imogen is willing to threw it all away to get what she wants and that breaks Theo's heart but she asks him to do one thing for her and he agrees as long as she agrees to do what he wants once the deal is over.

This story really surprised me at the end and I was glad I did not give up on it because I will say that I almost gave up on this book because it pissed me off so bad and I really HATED Imogen! But I was so happy with the ending that I am so glad I finished it. So give it a go and one click it because you will enjoy it. It is so real life that you will be invested in this couple.

Have you ever read a book and realized that some fictional couples just aren’t meant to be? That you can fall for one of the characters wholly and fully but also know within the first couple of chapters that the woman he fell for doesn’t deserve him, at all!

Imogen is a princes, born with a silver spoon – but the kind of familial relationships she has grown up with, it is no wonder that she never developed a backbone; mostly ‘cause she has always longed for the love and approval of her family – so everything she has ever done and every decision she has ever taken except the one that mattered, has for their approval and for the benefit of the family.

The only independent decision she has ever taken was to marry the only man she ever loved – a man who is as different and as blue collar to her wealthy family as can be – but did that mean she did everything in her power to love and support her husband like he did throughout their marriage? That would be a BIG FAT NOPE!

Theo, on the other hand, fell in love with a woman – he didn’t see their differences, he didn’t even register the problems they could face; because he believed, rightly, that if they were together, they could surpass any obstacle whatsoever – but he forgot the one main ingredient - that they both have to be all in, TOGETHER! He did his best to love, support her in her every endeavor; especially when they suffered a loss that could shake the foundation of any marriage.

Imogen, to be honest, got on my nerves – she had everything a woman could ever want – a husband who adored her, supported her, who was more like a partner rather than just a husband and one who put her on a pedestal, even after all that she put him through – and what did she give him in return? She lied to him, kept secrets from him (and a pretty big one at that!); all because he wants to let go of the toxic relationship between them – she DID NOT deserve all the goodness that was Theo.

Honestly if I had known Imogen in real life, I would have bitch slapped her long before the book had even reached a half way mark.

Theo, in comparison, is a saint – he had me eating from the palm of his hand from the start – he was all in right from the start and it physically hurt me to see him treated humiliatingly by Imogen and her family.

While Imogen did grow a backbone and FINALLY understood what she had in Theo and their marriage, for me, it came a little too late in the game for me – and the fact that they got their HEA without much groveling on Imogen’s part was a little too much for me. Honestly, Theo is the only reason why I continued with the book and I gave the rating I did for the book.

I honestly really adored this book. I know now that this story won't be for everyone. There were some parts that people will have gripes with and not feel is right, but quite frankly I felt it all. I felt the emotions that poured off the pages between these two characters.

A married couple who at the start of the story find their marriage in tatters and slowly, find their way back to one another. A second-chance story with so much emotion and so much heart.

Imogen and Theo had so much love for one another. So often we read about the happily-ever-afters, but we don't see the subsequent months and years where things get tough. And that is exactly what we have in this book! It's a breath of fresh air... and the authors writing is simply fantastic and in many ways this story felt more realistic.

It was raw, real and showed all the murky parts of marriage that aren't just looked at through rose tinted glasses. But there was also an extreme amount of hope and I loved how these two found that connection once again.

There were parts and actions that the couple took that both characters approached in a bad way. I think both characters could have dealt with things differently following infertility issues. And also I felt that Imogen was totally stuck between a rock and a hard place when it came to her family and the expectations that are made of her. But all of these added to the story... to the intensity of their journey.

Theo's love for Imogen was so strong, I really felt for him in this story. But my heart felt for Imogen too... she wanted to do the right thing, she just didn't know how to approach anything. And with next to no support network from anyone around her she was left to simply take the path she thought was best. Imogen's family were awful, and many times I wished she'd jut tell them where to go. But again, life just 'aint that easy!!!!

Such a heartbreaking yet wonderful story. Filled full of emotion, I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Well done Carrie Aaarons on a fantastic release!

DOWN WE'LL COME, BABY by Carrie Aarons is the story of Imogen Weston and Theo Walsh.
Their story starts about 5 years into their marriage and we see how they have been dealing with their different personalities and backgrounds. Imogen is from a very rich and prominent where Theo was from a hard working class family. Imogen parents were not happy that they married and made sure Imogen knew. Theo tried to make Imogen and her family happy by living in the home they wanted them to live and the job. Imogen never really cut the strings that her parents kept her under and she finally went back to her parents.
This is a refreshing take on a romance of two people that do love each other but life issues and other people have pulled them apart...and we see them slowly working back to the basic love they have.
Really Enjoyed their story!

..I love this book for so many reasons!!!
Yes, i love second chance romance but this book is nothing like other books about second chance because it talks so much about what happens in a real marriage after a couple finds their HEA and what comes with all the family issues and the next steps, expectations and dreams as a couple wanting to fulfil their life.
I have many friends that are trying to have kids and the struggle, the disappointment, the hope and hopeless moments are always part of their daily routine and it's just too much to take at a point when depression and anxiety and just your broken heart, it's really too much for some people.
I only read two books from the author and nothing to do with such a great story like this one,a story that it may be her best, a story that will make you feel helpless and feel your heart part in million pieces for this couple and also having to go through all the hard decision that they have to overcome and surpass, it's just a big ride.
I liked that we get to read both points of view and also snippets from their past, this makes everything so much more real and reliable.
I thought that Imogen was selfish in a way because instead of trying to deal with all their problems, she wanted the divorce and went back to her rich family to look for a better career although she knew that her husband still loves her and he was suffering in the same way as her.
If you want to read a story full of angst and love after the honeymoon, this is the book for you.
A story that shows how powerful LOVE can be in our lives every single day no matter the obstacles.

Carrie Aarons touching on a tragic and heartbreaking problem. Infertility. It drives people in all sorts of directions. In this case, it drives them apart. Down We'll Come, Baby had me crying at the utter heartbreak. I lost it at a simply worded ultimatum. Actually there were several times I needed tissues.

It's real. It's raw. It's endearing - even if her family is NOT. Theo is wonderful. Together they are special...apart they are crumbling.

Let Carrie Aaron's put you back together one revelation at a time.

3.5 Stars

Lead Female Character 3\5
- Imogen- I felt that she didn't really have a back bone, not when it came to her family. Granted she did grown by the end of the book, but I didn't really connect with her at all. She did redeem herself and prove how much she truly cared by the end of the book though, so I gave her three out of 5 stars.

Lead Male Character 3\5
-Theo- He acted like a doormat that Imogen just wiped her feet on. I didn't like that at all. I wish he would have made it a little more difficult and he deserved so much more. He was a little too forgiving.

Writing- 5\5
Carrie Aarons always writes flawlessly. The chapters flowed and there was not any unnecessary filler. Her characters were well developed. I may not have liked them lol, but they were very well developed characters.

Heat 2\5

Plot 3\5- It's a plot that has been done before, but Carrie Aarons put her own spin on it, and it gave it life.

Book Pace 5\5- As I stated above the book flowed seamlessly.

This was a very well written book, I just found myself letting my mind wander at times. I think it was mainly because I just didn't like how immature Imogen was. I am a huge fan of Carrie Aarons so I would definitely recommend this book.
