My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!! And I have bought my own copy as I do most of Sable’s books!

This is the 2nd book in this Xmas series, and it is still in Sable’s fabulous world of shifters. This is for adults only due to the steamy content.

At the start of this book, I wasn’t sure if it would be just like the first book or not. I was pleasantly surprised other than also having a bad boy and the mate as the temp worker; it was unique. Ryan and Angelica had their own unique drama which was quite amusing. There are some similarities, but you will need to read it to see them. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book!

I highly recommend to any fan of Sable’s work especially if you love her bears and world!!

The Second in her “Twelve Mates of Christmas” Dancer Claws has some smooth dance moves of his own to secure his fated mate! Ryan works at the The Bear Buns Strip Club, and has taken way to long to acquire his own Fated Mate. This is where the Council gets involved, if Ryan wants to continue being a Bad Boy with the Fates, then he deserves what he gets when Krampus gets involved.
Angelica is only looking at making that extra money for the overtime hours she is gonna be putting in this Christmas season. She is not looking to celebrate Christmas nor is she looking for love and drama.
So what happens when Fate lends a hand and childhood enemies come face to face at the Wreath?
Only Fate knows what it is going to take to get this Bad Boyof the Naughty List and into some Fated Mates Arms!

Dancer Claws is the second book in the series The Twelve Mates of Christmas. This series follows a group of bear shifters from the same clan who have been avoiding looking for a mate. In this book we meet human Angelica & bear shifter Ryan.

Baker Angelica has taken a temporary job at the Bear Claw Bakery in The Wreath Montana. It's just for the Christmas holidays, which suits her just fine. Her family was always on a tight budget, so Christmas has never been a big holiday for her. She always looked forward to her birthday instead. That is until that boy started doing everything he could to ruin things for her.

Ryan has been working at Bear Buns in Seattle as a stripper, but even though most of the dancers are there to find their mates, Ryan hasn't been trying at all. Now his clan has stepped in & according to his new boss he has only until Christmas day to find & claim his mate or he'll loose his shift for good. He thinks this won't be too bad since he'll have the help of Santa's reindeer, Dancer. Now he finds himself in the middle of nowhere in Montana & discovers his mate is there too. Only she's not so happy to see him seeing as she's been his favorite target for pranks since they were kids. How in the world is he going to claim his mate by Christmas if she doesn't want anything to do with him?

I was happy to see that this second book in the series is just as good as the first. Though the basic plot line is the same, there are enough differences in the characters & the story line to make it interesting. The main female character started out a little less hostile than in the first book which made it easier for me to get into the book. The male lead was just bad enough to earn the nickname but not so bad that you don't want to cheer him on. Since the story is set in the same place as the first, we have the same supporting characters who help move things along without being overwhelming. All in all this was an enjoyable holiday read.

This is a fresh new take on shifters finding their fated mates. I am loving this series!! Ryan is a bad boy who was never serious about finding his fated mate until he was literally kicked into the Council of Elders chamber and was told what he needed to do to stave off mate madness which is when your shift takes over and you can't ever shift back to human again. Krampus a Christmas demon takes his shift and takes his mate mark and put Naughty where his mark is supposed to be. Ryan has to get on the "Nice" list to get his mate mark and shift back then claim his fated mate by the end of Christmas Day. Krampus takes him to Montana to a Christmas tree farm in the Wreath which is an island in the middle of a large lake and works him hard to prepare him for the "Ride" where he is to borrow the powers of Dancer to help Santana "Santa" guide the sleigh. Angelica is a baker from one of the other Bear Claws bakeries is up at the Wreath to help Avery, a Christmas Elf, prepare for the holiday rush and for Santana's yearly Christmas Party. Ryan and Angelica have a history he liked her growing up but was too shy to say anything or do anything about it and used to steal her birthday pies that her grandmother made for her. It's a rough start for love but they overcome it to find they're fated mates. It's a beautifully written, amazingly inventive, wonderful Christmas love story. This is a must read for anyone who loves love, Christmas, shifter stories or all of the above like me!

Red Riding Hood meets her Fated Mate

I just finished book 2 of “The Twelve Mates of Christmas", Sable Sylvan has once again taken one of my favorite fairytales, "Red Riding Hood", and put her own special werebear / fated mates spin on it. We have a naughty guy, Ryan a werebear, who is a stripper at Bear Buns Seattle and a BBW, Angelica, who grew up in the same town with Ryan. Ryan had a crush on Angelica, but he was shy to the point he couldn't talk to her. When Angelica was growing up her grandmother would bake her a pie every year for her birthday, and for 12 of those years Ryan would take the pie that was cooling in the window. Ryan didn't know it but he ruined her birthdays by taking the pies, and all he was trying to do was get her attention. They finally catch up with each other in Wreath, Montana while Ryan is working on getting ready for “The Ride" and Angelica is working in the bakery and sparks fly for the two. Ryan shows Angelica exactly what Christmas is really about and she finally believes in Christmas magic, with the help of Krampus and a Christmas elf named Avery. Fun to read.

Love the reindeer

It's Ryan's turn to be sent to Camp Kringle with Krampus. Ryan has been a stripper at Bear Buns but hasn't really been searching for his mate. When Krampus takes him to Avery's bakery to get their daily donuts he sees someone from his past.
Angelica is working at the bakery to help out during the Christmas season. She doesn't believe in the magic of Christmas. Her family never had much money to buy presents. For twelve years she spent her birthday with her grandma and every year a boy would steal her birthday pie off of the window sill. She has never forgiven him and now he is standing before her with the word "Naughty" imprinted on his chest.
Can Ryan change and become "Nice"? Or does the past interfere with the Christmas magic and any hopes of a happy future?
This book is an adorably cute addition to this series. I have loved the reindeer in both stories. I hope we get to see them as their true selves when all is said and done!

Enjoy reading this fun, entertaining bear shifter romance, but remember, this is just one of the books out of twelve in this series & it is definitely worth the read.

Entertaining short reads, but all are written with the same formula so they get old fast. Split them up to give yourself a break from the formula.


Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...

1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.

2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.

3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.

4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.

5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.

Ryan Rex is a Dancer at the Bear Buns Club but has never found his fated mate nor really put much effort into finding her. His clan steps in and sends him to "Bad Boy" camp where he is stripped of his bear and mate sign and must learn to change his life and find his mate by Christmas or lose them forever.
Angelica Smith works for the Bear Claws Bakery in Nuthusk, where she knows all about shifters and fate mates but has no interest in that or in Christmas. She is there to collect a large paycheck. She actually knows Ryan and wants to stay away from him as much as possible but Avery, her boss, has other ideas.
Can Ryan save himself and Angelica in time to save his bear also? Follow the sassy wit and bad boy attitudes as they clash with each other.
Sable Sylvan is a talented author who will keep you entertained throughout he whole series.

Another bad boy meets his match

Angelica, a human BBW baker, goes to The Wreath, Montana this year to help the Bear Claw Bakery with its Christmas rush. Ryan, a bear shifter stripper and this year's bad boy boot camp "volunteer", has a surprise reunion with the girl he has had a crush on for years when he goes with Krampus to pick up the daily pastry order. As the story progresses Ryan slowly turns Angelica's attitude towards him around, a Christmas disaster is narrowly averted and their chance at a happily ever after is not a guarantee. The second book in Sable Sylvan's The Twelve Mates of Christmas series brings another look at a bad boy meeting his match in a sassy BBW that won't put up with his shiz.

This is a cute second chance romance by Sable, a second in the '12 Mates of Christmas' series. I think you'll really enjoy all the witty banter between the characters.

Ryan is an exotic dancer at Bear Buns Seattle, a strip club featuring shifters. But, he has one problem - he hasn't found his fated mate. So, when he is called by his Alpha, he finds out he's being sent to work with Santana and Krampus at 'The Wreath' or he will lose his shift forever.
Angelina is working as a temporary baker for 'The Wreath', so she can earn some extra money. Christmas is not a time of year that she remembers fondly. But, when she sees Ryan's familiar face, she's not pleased. He's the boy who used to steal her birthday pies. But, circumstances force them to work together and get to know each other again.
Will these two be able to work together, let alone fall in love?? You must read to find out!!

Ryan has a problem, the elders of his clan have cut a deal with Krampus. Take Ryan’s shift and his mate mark! The only way off the naughty list, head north to Camp Kringle and do something nice for someone. Simple huh? Nope, not at all!
Angelica is this years temp at Bear Claw Bakery in The Wreath. So who’s the first Shifter she sees? Ryan Freakin’ Rex stripper extraordinaire, and the boy who stole her birthday pies for twelve years straight. What are the odds they would end up in the same town years later?
Ryan must figure out a nice thing to do by Christmas Day, or he will lose his bear and his mate mark forever. Then he sees Angelica, the girl from years ago. Fate must have something to do with this!

I really enjoyed reading this wonderful, entertaining bear shifter romance.
The plot & story-line is well-written & humorous to read. The characters are highly entertaining with a variety of traits.
It is about: a grizzle bear shifter & stripper at Bear Buns (Ryan Rex) never really took the search for a mate seriously & a curvy female baker (Angelica Smith) who does not believe in Christmas.
There is: bear shifters, a snarky reindeer shifter, various kinds of shifters, a matchmaker, Clan elders, a caring alpha, a Christmas demon, elves, twist & turns, humor, magic, portals, memories, a second chance, friendship, chemistry, surprises, fated mates, love, happiness, some steam & a satisfying HEA.

What happened to Sean Jackson just happened to Ryan Rex. Naughty boy Ryan is being sent to The Wreath to learn how to get on Santana's nice list and finally get his mate!
Angelica Smith is temping in Wreath at the Bear Buns Bakery trying to make a little extra money because she is tired of being poor. When Angelica sees that pie stealing Ryan from her childhood is also in Wreath she can't believe it...why him of all people?!
However they slowly earn more about each other....
Ryan knows that Angelica is his mate but he needs to get off the naughty list in order to get his mate mark and shift so he can claim his mate!

Ryan is a bear shifter and part of clan Marronhe works as a striper at bear buns. Looking for his mate . There is just one huge problem he already meet and left her behind. Oops. Now he close to mate madness and the clan can't have that so it's off to camp bad boy for him . He has one last chance to keep his bear, his mate mark , and mate. Or lose them all.
Angelica comes from a poor family that didn't have much money so they didn't so gifts for Christmas now that she is older she doesn't believe in Christmas and yes she has meet Ryan before lol.

Lots of action, Drama, fun, and more in this story. I love the characters they really pulls you in fast but the storyline keeps you. It's a fun read. Don't miss it.

Sending him off to a place called Wreath with a man known as of all things a man called Krampus. Imagine his surprise when he learns he is going to find a fated mate and discover some Christmas magic he never knew existed. Love just might find its way for this wayward bear stripper but it is going to be an adventure he won’t soon forget. A story full of the heated romance and Christmas magic that will warm up your reading time.

A really good Christmas shifter romance.💞🐻🦌💞

This series is about twelve naughty bear shifters and their clan has had enough. With fears of them succumbing to mate madness, they make a deal to either help them find a fated mate or else. 😍

The second story is about Ryan, a dancer/stripper for the Bear Buns in Seattle, and Angelica, who has never had Christmas and has a past with Ryan. Can Ryan get off the "Naughty List" and get his mate mark, shift and convince Angelica that she is his fated mate or will he lose it all?

This one made me chuckle and shed a few tears for both the young and older versions of Ryan and Angelica. 💗

This is Ryan and Angelica's story . Ryan is now sporting the Naughty mark thanks to Krampus and Ryan's own lack of trying to find his fated mate . Angelica is determined to keep the pie thief as a regular only . Ryan is determined to do all that he needs to in order to get his mate mark and his shift back . Wow when these two meet Angelica has no problem telling him to keep his distance but then slips up by letting him know that she finds his body sexy lol . I just love Dancer's snark !! Dancer gives Ryan pain for cursing and then what does that snarky reindeer do ? LOL . This is well written and recommended to all .

This is the second book in The Twelve Mates of Christmas. It is the story of Ryan Rex ,a stripper at Bear Buns Club and Angelica Smith, a curvy BBW (Big Beautiful Woman), who works at the Bear Claw Bakery located in The Wreath, Montana. As fate would have it Ryan and Angelica have known each other since they were children. Angelica thinks she hates Ryan because of what he did to her when she was a child. As time goes by Angelica starts to have feelings for Ryan and can't figure out why. She discovers that forgiveness is better than hatred,especially when the one you supposedly hate is your fated mate. A great story to teach about forgiveness.

I'm really enjoying this Christmas series so far. However while enjoyable and entertaining I wasn't expecting the intro to be the same as the first book. I don't want to be mean but going with same introduction is going to get old pretty fast. Maybe switch it up a bit but that just my opinion. Overall a enjoyable and entertaining but keep in mind that this is only book 2 out of the twelve in the series. So I'm definitely interested to see what else is in store for this series. Ryan is the next Bad Boy bear on the fast track to the Naughty list because he's wasted time not trying to find his fated mate.
And you would think it would've been easier since he's a stripper at Bear Buns.
But, no.
Another procrastinator.
But, Krampus has just the remedy for Ryan.
The Ride.
During his rehabilitation, Ryan runs into an old friend, Angelica.
Angelica definitely hasn't forgotten Ryan.
Can this Bad Boy reform his relish ways and find his fated mate in time?

Krampus is back to help another bad boy. This time it's Ryan who is on the naughty list, he hasn't been trying to find his mate, even though he's working at Bear Buns showing his mate mark. Ryan needs to get off the naughty list, find his mate, and help with "The Ride". Without his bear or mate mark can he find his mate in time?
I couldn't put the book down, it has everything you want and need in a romance, heat, drama, love, laughter and a dash of Christmas magic thrown in. Sable Sylvan has done it again.

Growing up paycheck to paycheck, caused Angelica to not believe in Christmas magic. Ryan has been a dancer for years while searching for his mate. Due to the past, she thinks she despises him. Will Angelica find the real reason behind Ryan's past thefts? Will Ryan be able to win over his mate?

I loved this second chance romance! Loved how Ryan was willing to do whatever it took to make Angelica happy. I didn't blame Angelica for being mad, but loved how she couldn't help but be drawn to him. Steamy read!

This is another cute Christmas story of finding your fated mate the hard way but worth the effort this is Ryan and Angelica's story. Angelica has never known the joy of Christmas and Ryan had stolen her present for so many years when he sees her again when he comes to Wreath Montana to remember his values and something a lot more important to his future. A beautiful paranormal Christmas book. Some adult content. I received a copy as a gift from the author without obligation. I am providing an honest review.

Just odd

There’s grammatical errors. I read the first two books in the series and both were just odd. There’s no real build up. They hate each other and then Boom they’re engaged on Christmas without any build up. The writing is also super unrealistic. At one point the character calls herself bbw in the conversation which no one would ever really do. The story has great potential but then it’s just lacking. I read this one hoping something would change since it has so many great reviews. I felt like I was missing something but I’m not.

Cute

This series is really interesting and unique. Naughty bear shifters are sent to Camp Kringle, their shift is taken away as well as their animal, all because they haven’t found their fated mate. They get a new animal hat is actually the spirit on one of Santa’s reindeer. Ryan was such a bad boy bear and he was already crazy about his fated mate Angelica but didn’t know how to tell her. So fat and the magic of Christmas steps in. The story is fast paced without a lot of steam until the end. I enjoyed it.

I am a fan of Sable Sylvan and she is one of my go to authors. These stories are well written and they are different. These stories are helping bring some Christmas spirit into my life, for that I have to say thank you! I can't wait to see what happens next. These are quick easy read and they are worth your time and effort!

Ryan was a bad bear and ends up on the Naughty list. Angelica was a familiar face but not the friendly one from his past. How will this stripper bear get off the Naughty list and claim Angelica for his mate? Lots of great secondary characters such as Krampus and Avery. Also Pandora and Jack all who help the two find Christmas. Some fun and some steam with lots of holiday spirit. Loved it!! I am voluntarily reviewing an arc I received.
