I just love these Pelican Pointe Series of books. Small town California where friends become family to one another. Where lost souls come to find something they desperately needed. A safe place with warm, welcoming people. These books never fail to put a smile on my face. My feel good books. ;)
I fell in love with Colt before he got his book. Be still my heart. It is amazing to me that while these books enthrall you with life there is so much that is dealt deftly and with a gentle touch. Runaways, orphans, family's destroyed, PTSD , done so well that you were enthralled and felt the love, the hope. A HEA that had tears fall down my cheeks. If you love small town stories, that deal with life and wounded characters that grow and develop this is the series for you. Do not let this series pass you buy. And I freely am begging to be put on her arc team :)

Great theme of letting go of the past and embracing the present. Amazing characters with a gravity defying plot. Scott still haunts all, even little Maddie. A Good Read!

This story involves Colt, who worked with Simon in the military, and Naomi who is working at the bank so Nick has more time at home. Colt lived in a orphanage that was awful. Naomi watched her family die in a fire when she was a child and then went to live with her aunt and uncle who only do the bare minimum. Colt is working on the remodeling of Naomi's house and the two are cautiously drawn to each other. Then come Tibby who is a runaway but won't tell them from where. She speaks Naomi's mothering instinct and so begins their first step in becoming a family. Add in Maddie whose mom had just died and you have four wounded people working on surviving. Wonderful read.
"Don’t forget those who lose everything and have nothing. There’s always someone more in need than you are. Remember that.”
Pelican Pointe, California, the home for lost souls and second chances, is never more poignant than in this latest in the series, A Pelican Pointe Christmas.
For Naomi, Colt, Tibby and Maddie, each with a past laced with tragedy, the magic of Christmas awaits them if only they trust that the heart knows what the heart wants and needs.
This is a novel to curl up with and revisit our favorite characters and meet new ones, remembering the true reason for the season.
Colt and Naomi story was a page turner. Two wounded souls find each other and begin to heal from their past. Then they find two more lost souls and begin to help heal their broken souls to become a family. You never know what you will find until you open yourself up to great possibilities. He or she may be your one true soul mate.
Hope there is more to this series and live Scott Phillips.
Excellent series! I've come to know and love the citizens of Pelican Pointe and watching it come back from the brink of collapse, turning into a thriving community. I particularly enjoy the map of Pelican Pointe at the beginning of each book, watching the town grow as the story unfolds.
Hope this wasn't the end of the series - Vickie McKeehan please continue on!
Naomi never really had a good childhood from an early age when a tragedy took her family, so when she moved to pelican pointe she was mostly alone till started to get her house fixed up and met the newest member colt which had a rough time since becoming a civilian. Together they leaned on each other and one day they were surprised to have new additions.
I love all the books Vickie McKeehan has written. Her characters are relatable and likeable. The situations are interesting. Each book adds at least one new character to the growing town's family of residents. I would love to live in Pelican Pointe!
Another winner from Vickie McKeehan and a return to Pelican Pointe. Filled with laughter, tears, a bit of mystery and tension, family, and lots of love. Wonderful! I have loved every visit I’ve made to Pelican Pointe!
This is the first book in the series I have read and can hardly wait to read all the books in the series. Naomi and Colt were strong characters who despitr the sadness of their past grew into caring people
Well, that was unexpected! Colt, Naomi, and their wonderful family Tibby and Maddie and the dogs, made my Christmas in April an interesting read. I cannot wait to find out what will happen when Simon recovers and what going to become of Drea's relationship with whomsoever. When do we get to enjoy Eleanor's demise?
The last books I read was your Coyote Wells series and after reading this, A Pelican Pointe Christmas, I am starting in on the series of Pelican Pointe. Go bless you and your talent for writing and making me feel a part of all your stories!
I have enjoyed every book in this series. They have wonderful characters, a story that draws you into the book, there's always a little intrigue or mystery to uncover and last but not least, a softly romantic happily ever after.
There's never a dull moment in Pelican Point. Colt and Naomi certainly know how to live a hectic life! So many adventures and situations are crammed in this great story which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Another great addition to the Pelican Pointe series. Newcomers, Naomi and Colt, deal with their pasts while finding love and family. Looking forward to another chapter in this beguiling series.
