In this final installment of The Long Fall, all paths lead to one final, thrilling conclusion to this smash-hit post-apocalyptic series!
The Long Fall is a thrilling post-apocalyptic episodic series that follows the survivors of a global catastrophe that threatens the survival of the entire world. As each survivor learns more about the reasons and sources behind the apocalypse, they must work to save themselves and their families as they seek a way to reverse the disaster before it's too late. Written as a collaboration between Logan Keys and #1 bestselling post-apocalyptic author Mike Kraus, The Long Fall is a gripping and unique take on the post-apocalyptic genre, and one that will leave you breathless with every turn of the page.
The Long Fall will feature approximately ten episodic (25k-35k words in length) books that are full of action, suspense, emotion and drama as the survivors of a global disaster struggle to survive the end of days. Episodes will be published once per month.
Logan Keys says she’s not so much a writer as she is a soothsayer and preparer for those who are still blissfully unaware. Her stories aren’t dystopian but rather a warning for the next generation. When she’s not writing zombies, vampires, superheroes, and robots, she’s fighting against government over-reach and oligarchy using military tactics mixed with a little bit of poetry.
Logan’s currently on her little farm in Kentucky typing away on many projects at once.

LOGAN, EVERY TIME I STARTED TO READ YOUR SERIES I PUT ON MY IDIDEROD MUSHER SUIT, READY FOR THE KILLING COLD! I TURNED UP THE HEAT, CAUSE IN ACTUALITY IT'S -6 DEG HERE AS I'M WRITING THIS. SO I WAS READY FOR YOU.😁 what a smooth ride you have given , I have really enjoyed the series. Looking forward to more from yo , keep me posted! I'm hooked!
I had read the first two books when they first came out and got side tracked waiting for the next book. Just found out about the final book....book ten. I went back to the beginning and read all 10 books in two days. They are such a wonderful series of stories! Different stories of strangers coming together to survive an apocalyptic winter due to “satellite Umbrellas” placed to prevent global warming. As each story unfolds the storylines begin to cross. The characters are so believable and you get so involved in their adventure. A definite must read!
The entire series was unpredictable and unexpectedly emotional at times. Forgive my sexism, but I did not expect men to be able to be exciting, romantic, and emotional in just the right balance! Having read some of both authors, I was sure this would be believable and exciting, but together - just wow.
I actually had tears reading the last chapter, proof of how invested I was in all of the characters.
If I hadn't bought the entire series for $1, I'd be upset.
The "books" (each is shorter than a novella) start off decently, introducing characters across the US (for the most part) that are ultimately linked together over time during the environmental disaster that is caused by an attempt to curb global climate change. The attempt, of course backfires and results in extreme weather phenomena that kills most of the world's population, etc., etc.
The story is pretty standard post-apocalyptic YA fare, with nothing really making it stand out or cause me to recommend this to anyone very strongly. However, the writing and editing took a sharp turn around the sixth installment. The authors/editors (assuming anyone was actually editing this) began making a plethora of mistakes, most noticeably changing characters names and seemingly forgetting what their characters are doing. Examples are introducing Joshua, then immediately referring to him as Joseph for the rest of the story; referring to Benton as "Bentley" for several pages; misspelling Lily's names as "Lilly"; and placing two characters on a snowmobile (instead of the ATV they were using previously) in Louisiana after explicitly stating that there were none to be found (for obvious reasons).
Best guess is that the episodic nature of the series caught up to the authors around that point and they were just trying to pump out 80 pages at a time to make their deadlines.
I just finished reading this series. Having read all but the last few as they became available this was a visit with old friends. Starting with number one and immersing yourself in the story, the people and the circumstances come alive. You become part of the story. Even if you have read Mike Kraus and Logan Keys in the past it is well worth rereading the series as a whole without the long space between the individual books. Always recommend any of Mike Kraus' books and the authors he collaborates with are equally talented.
Truly one of the best series that I have read to date! I totally devoured each and every book, one after another, ignoring everything else. I loved the characters and the way each personality was fleshed out, to the point where I felt as though I knew each one. l laughed, cried, mourned and truly was quite pleased to see the evil-doers get what they deserved in very appropriate actions! Great great writing guys! And thanks for the adrenalin rush! Suzanne
This rating is in part for this final book and in part for the series. The premise has been a pleasant departure from other types in the genre. I really enjoyed this book and it finishes the series nicely. Does it strain belief a bit that everyone ends up so well? Sure, but I'm glad it did. Nothing wrong with a good solid and pleasant ending during an apocalypse.
So sorry to see the series end. I will miss the characters. Well developed storyline and characters but if you ever feel a need to revisit them I'll be right here waiting for an update. Waiting with much anticipation for the next cast of characters to laugh and 😢with.
I fell in love with this series from beginning to end...I was so upset at first thing that Colton didn’t make it and I was crying that after all that they wouldn’t see each other again...But the ending was amazing... Thank you for this ride thru the killing cold to happy ending with the shields falling, friends and family back together and true love...
I love the intertwined stories and how they all came together but it needs a proofreader. Excellent finale! I definitely cried. I highly recommend it however, don't read it unless you are prepared for some dramatic and heart-rending events. There are certainly not many happy-ever-after moments and lots of tragedy (just as you would expect in a real apocalypse).
Where to start? It was freaking amazing! My heart was in my mouth.. When you see the names of the authors, you know your in for an amazing time. This series will grab you by the throat and you'll have senses will be bombed with snow, water fire and ice! My favored people are German and Brittney. Wow what a great read!
I didn't post reviewing the last book. This is an awesome read and I read the entire series in 3 days and it is one of the best. I loved all the characters and hated to see it end.
