Serving the Billionaire

Rate this book
LUKE:

His offer is too tempting to resist.

A relaxing cruise while playing both chef and fiancé to a hotter-than-hell billionaire. How could I say no?

When Nathan turns to me after his private chef quits, I’m not about to leave him high and dry. But he doesn’t just want a chef. He wants a fiancé to replace gourmet food with down-home cooking. All I have to do is cook a few nice dinners, be domestic with a hot guy, and live it up on a yacht.

The problem? I can’t stop fantasizing about tasting my cooking on his lips.

I try to stay focused on the job, but I have to remind myself that it’s all pretend. Even worse, something’s suspicious on this cruise. Nathan’s wealthy guests are here for a good time, but not all of them have innocent intentions.

The heat is turning up, but I’m not about to leave the kitchen.

NATHAN:

I trust him to be my chef. But can I trust him to be my fiancé?

Luke seems like the perfect replacement chef to impress my investors at sea. He’s strong, charming, and drop-dead gorgeous. Soon, he’s making a move on me, and I can’t deny the way my body reacts.

The plan is crazy: have Luke pose as my fiancé, give them a taste of the authentic cooking we supposedly have at home together, and drop them off at Monaco none the wiser.

But Luke and I play our parts a little too convincingly, and I can’t tell if we’re still acting.

However, it’s not all fine wine and romantic sunsets for me and my faux-beau. My guests are hard to please, and there’s a lot of ocean ahead of us. But with my new companion by my side, I can handle some rough waters.

By the time this cruise is over, Luke will have me coming for seconds.

Note to readers: This is an extra spicy MM romance, heat level 10. Readers can expect several steamy scenes that will leave you gasping.

Wow... just wow. I have now read a number of books by this author and I think this may be the best yet. He has done a masterful job creating the to main characters in this book. Nathan and Luke are just amazing. I loved the way the author is paced Nathan and Luke's relationship progress "slowly but surely" ,due to their different incomes/lifestyles etc. I like that he is gave each of them the time to actually acclimate to what being together would mean for them. This book sizzles with the heat due to the chemistry between Nathan and Luke. Each and every (there are quite a few) sex scene is scorching hot and with each one the love and the bond between the two strengthens. The scene where Luke and Nathan video chat with Luke's parents had me in tears. The story is very low on the angst scale with their growing relationship never in real doubt. I totally can see the author writing a second book with Jonathan as one of the main characters as it definitely seems like the story of Jonathon getting his HEA would be a good one. Actually another book about Nathan and Luke's continuing relationship would be great too! This book was so good, that I read it straight through once I started... It was pure pleasure to read! Mr. Collins is fast becoming one of my favorite authors.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
I actually read the final Kindle edition that I bought cuz it's easier to read and I plan on rereading this again in the near future.

This author is good at, just as we're lazing in a comfy haze of love and passion, throwing in a big angst, I loved these two men and their sweet affection, therefore I found myself bracing for the angst. Jason, you are a devious bloke! But, thank you! As usual with this author this is a lovely story with always likeable men, he never fails to please me.

Adorable

I really liked this story. It didn't appear too over the top and both main characters were extremely likeable. Their interactions with each other was good. Cute story!

Forced proximity--check
Fake fiance--check
Hot guys with lots of chemistry--check
Likable characters--double check!

Luke and Nathan were great characters, both together and individually. Nathan is a billionaire who has more of a focus on his employees and making the world a better place rather than being an uppity rich playboy. He is taking investors on a cruise from the US to Monaco on his private yacht, but the chef he hired quits the day before he is supposed to set sail.

Luke is newly hired as Nathan's personal chef after his family restaurant closes. The day after he meets Nathan for the first time, Nathan asks Luke to come on the trip as his chef. In order to woo the investors, though, they decide to have Luke be his fake fiance. These two guys had a ton of chemistry. It was only a week and a half together, but the forced proximity allowed them to really spend time getting to know each other. It didn't take long for their relationship to blossom into something more real, and I loved how they didn't shy away from their feelings.

This was a very enjoyable book, and I loved spending time with these two guys.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is about a billionaire named Nathan who owns a tech company and is going to travel to Monaco by yacht with potential investors and the head chef he hired quit the day before they were to leave. Luke was recently hired to be Nathan's personal chef and Nathan asks him if he will go on the cruise to be the chef. Luke tells Nathan he should tell everyone he is his personal chef to give them a personal touch to impress them. Nathan says he should pretend to be his fiance who wants to cook for everyone. They agree and set sail. Nathan and Luke have an instant attraction to each other and the more they pretend to be together, the more their chemistry shows. Soon they act on their attractions and both Luke and Nathan wants more. Things go well until on of the guests starts to cause problems through his catty remarks. I really enjoyed this steamy story. Luke and Nathan are great together and had amazing chemistry. I thought their journey was romantic and full of love. Luke and Nathan really loved each other and accepted each other as they were, they didn't care about Nathan being Luke's boss and the differences in wealth. Good one.

3,5*

PLEASE READ FIRST MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings (thanks to amazon I had to change it again and 'upgrade' it a little bit)

5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow- Away-book like 'Liberty' from Seth King,
'Save the kids' series from EM Leya or 'Jesse's Smile' from Angelique Jurd), it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises
(like most of Andrew Grey books) it's like an A

3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy
for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's
like an B+

3* - it's more then a one-time-reader, but not really an often (3-4 times a year) reread book

2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it
was ok) It's like a C-, D

1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an
absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class

I don’t know if I can do justice to this story. I love this story. It brings together two unlikely guys who for different reasons have an invested interest in making a cruise successful. They are thrown together in a strange plan to show not only are they successful in their own right but pretend on a successful relationship together.

Luke is a chef that starts out with dreams of owning a restaurant but what he dreams about and what he actually wants are conflicting.

Nathan is successful in the software industry and hoping to get investors to grow his company. He finds out that goal might not be a price he is willing to pay.

The author did a great job of humanizing these two and putting their personalities together. The sex was beyond hot. The secondary characters fit the story so well. I really enjoyed the different family dynamics. They grew up so differently yet the story pointed out that money doesn’t make up for everything.

The ending left me feeling happy. It did make me want to know these people.

Another winner from one of my fave authors!

This book has all the feels when it comes to romance. Throw in some humorous, awkward moments plus a bad guy into this delightful tale and we have another winner from one of my fave authors, Jason Collins.

Billionaire Nathan plans a cruise on his luxury yacht (are there any other kinds of yachts? lol) to sail across the Atlantic to Monaco to wine, dine and entertain his investors when his 5 star chef pulls out at the last minute. Enter, stage right, Luke who was just hired as Nathan’s personal chef. Nathan asks Luke to fill in and devises a crazy unbelievable plan. What’s the plan you say? That Luke pretends to be his fiancé who loves to cook! WTF?! Of course things do not go according to plan because it’s a hair ball, goofy plan (IMHO, lol) and....well you’re going to have to read it for yourselves. It’s great fun, it’s awkward, it’s sizzling hot. It’s 5 stars.

This is another winner from Jason Collins and may possibly be my favorite to date. Like many billionaires, Nathan, is so caught up in work that he does not take much time out for himself. So, he decides to plan a cruise to wine and dine some investors. However, fate steps in and the chef that is supposed to prepare the meals on the ship quits. Left in a lurch, Nathan decides to bring on Luke, a man just hired to be Nathan’s home chef. Hey, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. To add more spice to the storyline, not only is Luke going to be cooking on board for everyone, he is also going to be posing as Nathan’s fiancé. “Love, exciting and new….come on board” (key The Love Boat theme music) with this unlikely couple to see if they can weather the storm. Another fun loving read filled with plenty that will have the reader falling for this couple and wanting more.
I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.

Cute, middle of the road

Both main characters, Luke and Nathan were sweet and I enjoyed them. Nothing odd or unique really about their personalities. Just normal people where ones a billionaire and ones a chef.
It was a fairly believable story line, that it might could happen.
Would have liked more descriptive intimate scenes, these were mild.
Couldn’t figure out why they slowed down though once they got back to Manhattan after basically living together for a month and falling in love. Seemed odd for Luke to then still keep his tiny apartment. And why didn’t they really get engaged by the end of the book?
I also was looking forward to them spending time together at Luke’s family place in the south of France. But once they got to Monaco, the book basically ended and the scene I was hoping for the most wasn’t included.
95% if the book take place on the boat.

What a delightful fake to real romance!! This is one of my favorite basis for a story and this story-line was done exceptionally well. I found both MC's really likable and easy to relate too. i could see the friendship develop and felt the attraction between these guys.

Luke and Nathan are so so steamy together! Your kindle will be smoking and you will be loving their interactions. I loved how they had fun with each other, until it turned to more, then it was just so much more.

So many special touches from the food, to a special phone call to family diners and so much more. Highly recommend!

I was gifted this book from the author and i freely give my review.

2.5⭐️

This just wasn’t for me.

They went from strangers to a fake relationship to a real relationship in a week. We then skip months into the relationship in the last chapter so we don’t see them grow in their relationship.

They fought about the most pointless things. Luke storms off because Allen (the snobby competitor) is talking about Ferrari’s and boat parties and he’s just an average guy and can’t connect with their stories.

And, I don’t understand how Nathan’s career would be over because he doesn’t have the best chef and chose to use his personal chef. Just creating drama out of nothing.

When Nathan's chef quits just prior to an important cruise, he asks Luke to fill in... and to pretend to be his fiancee. Their attraction is strong and it's not long before the lines between reality and pretend blur. They will navigate together, the attraction to each other, the waters of the sea and the scheming rich investors aboard the ship.

Good story that keeps your interest. Likeable characters that are sweet and sexy.

I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.

I loved Lukes self-assurance. He may not have the cash that Nathan does but he knows who he is and what he wants. Nathan is driven to succeed and it causes him to drag Luke into his plans to impress others. Luke is able to hold his own against those that would look down on him and impress the hell out of everyone with his cooking skills. Nathan's change of heart about what's important comes quickly. I enjoyed seeing Luke and Nathan a year later with both sets of parents. I'd love to see a follow up with these two when they reach their final HEA.

Nathan and Luke felt the attraction instantly and didn't know if they should act on it while Luke worked for Nathan. When an emergency situation popped up for work, Luke agreed to help Nathan and the sparks flew. Luke and Nathan were so cute together and there was nothing fake in their relationship from the beginning even though that's what they had agreed on. Jonathan was a true friend to Nathan especially when Allan was being his obnoxious self.

This one, like most of the Jason Collins stories I've read, specialized in mega 🔥🔥heat between the heroes, Nathan and Luke. While the plot apart from their budding relationship is weak, Collins serves up an MM insta-attraction story that, if you are looking for sizzle and heat by the boatload (or, in this case, by the yachtload!), Is hard to beat.😜

I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.

I want to congratulate Jason on the expertise of his writing style. A lot of male authors seem to suck, excuse the pun, at writing sensual, all consuming passion in the sex scenes. Talk about being with them in the moment. It was all beautifully crafted and you were made to embrace their growing attraction. I really loved this book and it was nice for a change to be low on angst. I hope his future books are just as expressive and sexually explosive as this one.

Nathan has a cruise prepared to go on his new yatch with his investors. At the last minute, he is left hanging by the Chef but he concocts a plan with his personal cook. Luke is new at his job but already fantasizes about his cute boss. He accepts Nathan’s proposition but on that yatch cruise love blossoms, real love. It’s a great read. Lots of romance and bits of drama, as they develop their ever after.

I've read a bunch of Jason's works and I think this one is the best by far, and my most favourite out of his works! Characters are easily likeable, well build and interesting. The plot is a bit different and despite having a lot of steamy scenes, there is a lot of other things to enjoy, too.
What I really wished to witness tho, was that beach wedding they both wanted. Overall, it was great, fluffy and warm read!

Serving The Billionaire by Jason Collins. I really enjoyed this book! Fantastic characters you could love and hate! A really wonderful storyline. I had a really hard time stopping reading to get other thing I needed to do done. Including sleeping! Fantastic story that I just couldn’t stop reading! I would love to read more about these characters!

An awesome read that I totally enjoyed. Captivated me from start to finish. Luke and Nathan have incredible chemistry right from the start and I love how well they mesh together. I really enjoyed how well Luke handled all the snooty people on the yacht. It was great watching Nathan and Luke go from fake to real. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

I got caught up in this story until it ended. The narrative was what kept me in the story. It allowed me close to the characters. I loved Nathan and Luke because they had heat with each other. Their passion radiates off the page. I also loved the dialogue especially at the end with the parents. It was so real.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this romance novel. The MCs, Luke and Nathan, are precious. Their chemistry undeniable. Overall, the MCs are a breath of fresh air compared to Allen. Geeze I hated that guy. The author does a fabulous job setting up some of the most breathtaking sceneries, delicious meals, and romantic moments. It almost felt like I was there. Just perfect.

I loved this story. It was fairly low on the drama-scale.... Just two fun, flirty men who came from different backgrounds and were very attracted to one another. Nathan and Luke had amazing chemistry. Just all around great storytelling by this author (as I've come to expect).
