Intern: A Steamy Office Romance is my very first book by Harlow Layne. Steamy is exactly right because this is a hot, older woman, younger man romance that is sure to heat up the coldest of winter nights.



It’s been nearly two years since Sadie Frost has been with a man. Her divorce is now final and to celebrate, she has hired an escort for the night. But when the man shows up at her hotel room door, he’s hot, he’s sexy, and she knows him! He’s an intern at her company.

Tyson (Ty) Jacobs has both student loans and medical bills to pay off. He isn’t making much as an intern which he has high hopes will turn into a full time job soon. But he is temporarily in need of some supplemental income. So he is working as an escort. Since his first day at his intern position, he has had a thing for the Vice President, Sadie Frost. His infatuation with her has turned him into an accident prone teenager! But she was wearing a wedding ring so she was off limits. But when she opened the door to the hotel room, there was no more ring. And he was all in!



Sadie’s self confidence took a pretty serious hit with her divorce. Ty is the best looking man she has ever seen. He is also fourteen years younger than she is. How could he ever be interested in her? She also worked really hard to gain her VP position where she works. She is technically Ty’s boss. Ty wants more than just one night but could they do this and still work together?

“I know what I want and I’m going to make sure I get it.”



Ty is determined to prove to Sadie that he’s all in. That age doesn’t matter. That he will make sure that she can’t live without him. But in the very early stages of their relationship, they are forced to deal with several different challenges. Are they strong enough to overcome them? Will Sadie trust in what they are building together?



Sadie and Ty were so cute together. Sadie had to be so tough at work but I loved seeing the softer side of her outside of work. And Ty was amazing. He was a swoony dream! The heat level of this book is the level of a five alarm fire! It’s a hot one because these two have all the chemistry! So turn on the fan, ladies, and live out every woman’s fantasy through Sadie and Ty. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!

Insatiable and Adorable

These two have an interesting start, for certain. There is a story in all of the words but Tyson and Sadie are completely insatiable, as well as adorable. I love their escapades! Such hot and steamy goodness. There are some twists - family, medical, work, and age gap (she's 39 to his 25) related - that contribute to the tale.

I mostly listened to the audio which had CiCi Lockheart at the mic. She was nice to listen to.

I really fell in love with Tyson and his character. His loyalty and deep love and care for Sadie screamed loud through every page! The way he pursed her and continued to even when she pushed him away, I swooned!

I loved reading about an older, superior woman in Sadie. And even with all of her walls up from her previous marriage, she let Tyson in. I love how he never gave up even when it got rough, how he practically worshipped the ground she walked on!

I love their off the charts attraction. The push and pull between these characters. The struggles and insecurities. The highs and the lows.

You get every little bit of it as you devour the pages of Intern!

Let's start of by saying this is a brand new author for us and we enjoyed our first read by them and it was a really fun and funny read.
 
Let's talk chemistry and this couple had that in spades in the bedroom out of the bedroom and and even in the office no matter




where they were they made things sizzle.




 
 
 
The story was one of those stories that was light and fun and had a cast of great character's
but, one's that made you laugh out loud throughout the entire story.
 
We really loved Sadie as she had a really wicked sense of humor,she was beautiful, sexy,loving and a sexual creature who loved to explore her wants and desires with her partner and lover.
 
We loved Tyson as well as the cocky intern who made no bones about being able to satisfy a women sexually in and out of bed.He was sexy as sin ,sweet,kind,caring and loving and made no bones about his attraction to Sadie as he walked around with a constant hard on and was happy to do so! lol

Overall this was a good story and we really loved it as the character's were great and I loved how Tyson and Sadie made and awesome couple regardless of their age difference they were perfect for one another and always seemed to make each other laugh whenever they were together.These character's were easy to love from the onset of the story.This was one hot read from beginning to end and was pure enjoyment.For me this the type of story that makes a horrible day just be better because once you start reading it you will have a constant grim or smile on your face to the very end.
 
We loved to read more of this author's works.

4 stars for Intern by Harlow Layne. This is the first book I have read from this author and I enjoyed it tremendously. I enjoyed her writing style and her characters. They way she tells a story makes the reader feel like they are emerged in it at least that is how I felt. Ok so let me just say before I start this review that I have never read an older woman with a younger man book that I enjoyed like I did this one. For some reason I just never connected to these stories for some reason or another. However, with this book something was different for me. I liked Saddie and Tyson from the start, there was a chemistry between them that took the story to a different level. While this story is about a older women with a younger man, it is also a boss/employee romance. So not only does it have a taboo element it has two.
Sadie is recently divorce after her husband left her for a man. So Sadie’s best friend talks her into hiring an escort, little does she know by doing this it is about to change everything in her life. She is extremely shocked when she opens the door to find her fumbling new intern Tyson. Tyson is a sexy but fourteen year her junior intern. “Age is only a number. Don’t give it power over you. Over us.” She is not sure what to do about this, but soon Tyson takes control and gives her a night of her life. They can not stop thinking about each other after their one night, what is going to happen between these two. Tyson has had an extremely rough life and has been though more than most people could handle. He likes what he sees in Sadie even though everyone at the office calls her the Ice Queen. I do not want to spoil this book so I will not give anything away. I love these two together. The question is can they get over their differences and be happy together.
Let’s talk about the cover of this book, how sexy is whoever this man is on the cover. It instantly draws the eye. Also, the pop of color in the title is great. I am loving it. I know they say not to judge a book by the cover , but we all do it and this one is one that makes you want to read the book or at least read the blurb to see what the book is about. I am now a big fan of Harlow Layne and I am looking forward to read more of her work.

Where is the five BILLION stars because that is what this book deserves! Harlow has brought her A game again and she has brought us this story of a woman who has gone through a rough divorce and is looking for one night of fun to give her a boost. Only when she comes to the door to meet her escort she comes face to face with her intern from her job. At first she is shocked but then she goes with the flow and spends one PHENOMENAL night with Tyson.

But Tyson wants more and so does Sadie but she has worked her way up to being the Vice President and she doesn't want to jeopardize her job or Tyson's job. But the two of them have this amazing chemistry that they can't deny so they decide to give it a try and keep it a secret and boy oh boy is that hard and they have their ups and downs but they make it work.

This is a must read that will have you needing a tall glass of ice and have you laughing like a crazy person! So go on and one click it and enjoy this phenomenal story!

OMG Harlow had me reading up late at night to finish this story. I needed a tall glass of ice and some serious sleep after reading this late into the night. I loved this book and I mean I LOVED it. It was both romantic and steamy and yes Harlow knows how to write a sex scene. She had me wanting to wake my husband up ;)

Sadie is going through an ugly divorce and she is coming unglued because she feels like she has nothing left to live for but her job. She loves being the VP of her company but wants something more. So as soon as her divorce is final she hires an escort for a night out on the town and some fun in between the sheets.

Ty is just trying to survive and enjoy his new job as an intern. Only he is infatuated with his VP and every time he sees her he is like a teenager all over again. He also has a secret he is an escort to supplement his income to pay for his medical bills and school loans. So when he gets a call for the evening and he comes face to face with Sadie his wildest dreams have come true and he plans on making Sadie his for forever.

🔸There's no the inane and often used misunderstanding trope, where one the MCs hear/read/discover something , takes it out context and instead of talking as adults, they separate for a while☑
🔸No cheating or/and drama with OW, OM ☑

So why my rating is 3.5🌟 ? Because it was predictable and formulaic.

Because even though there are plenty of intimate couple time , All. Are. The. Same. with little variation. The Wang Bang, Thank You Ma'am type of sexy time. There is not yummy build up, the anticipation , making out, discovering your sweet spot . No eroticism and pure vanilla. So I did something I never do, I skipped some sexy times as it got boring after a while. Gasp 😳😵, I know ...terrible thing to do.

So to recap , I liked it as it's an Okay , easy, light and short story but I didn't loved it as it didn't got my heart racing , my body wiggling and all my attention .

So Harlow Layne has made my day with this book. I absolutely loved her push/pull with the feelings and emotions between these characters. She takes an age gap and completely throws you for a loop.

Her characters are amazingly stubborn and have been burnt. These are real people you can relate to. The way you connect is in a very personal level and she knows how to hit your emotions deep. I fell in love with Sadie and Ty from the beginning. This story will suck you into reading Harlow Layne every time she had a new release!!

Sadie and Ty meet in some crazy circumstances. They work together and things become even trickier. They must navigate an age gap where the woman is older and more insecure. Together, they figure it out quickly and it’s explosive and the chemistry is off the charts. You will fall in love with Sadie and Ty.

An absolute must read by this author!!

An age gap, office romance... COUNT. ME. IN. Sadie and Tyson are sexy and cute and swoon-worthy all rolled in one. Sadie is recovering from a failed marriage and a bit of heartbreak after her husband betrays her when she meets Tyson-- her intern who makes her feel young and sexy and alive. He dotes on her and quite frankly worships the ground she walks on... and maybe the space between her legs too ha. This novella was equal parts steamy and sweet and I devoured it in one sitting! They had great chemistry and their banter (when they weren't getting it on) was super cute and refreshing! Loved it!

Insta love combined with lust considering how it starts.There's that: you either can describe insta love with feelings (like, "my heart beats faster when I see him smiling down at me,"...you get me) or you simply can say "I want to be with him..." The author chose the second. Great. Not.
And please can we stop with "he tore my panties" because you are too lazy to describe the act of pulling them down (or to the side). Everyone of us knows panties don't fall apart that easy, noooo it literally hurts when a guy tries to rip them apart. So tired of this bs.Gahhh

Love gone wrong

Sadie is freshly divorced from a man that never should've said "I do" to begin with and it leaves her wounded and wanting.

Who needs a long term man or commitment when you can hire an escort?! An unsure woman needs a little help getting back her groove.

Whew! Harlow Layne cranked up the heat with Intern! This book is as hot as it is sweet. Full of sizzling chemistry and romance that will fill you with butterflies. I loved the balance of heat, sweet, and real emotion that Harlow did so perfectly in Tyson and Sadie’s story. It made it so easy to fall in love with both of them right from the start.
I haven’t read many books with an age gap where the woman was so much older, but I have to say I really enjoyed this one. Sadie is as sweet as she is smart, strong and mature. Her soft vulnerable side that only Tyson really saw really endeared her to me. Tyson himself had a level of strength and gentleness that left me swooning more than once. These two have not only that amazing chemistry and sweetness but a connection that is so wonderful you can almost physically feel the love they have for each other.

I must say this is one unexpected hot read! I love this plot a lot, once I've started I can't put this down at all. All those sex scenes are such excitement for readers. This is the first time I read from Harlow Layne. She definitely achieved what a reader like me will want.

The plot is very simple and very interesting. I love every page of it. Totally recommend for everyone to read this. I totally will read from Harlow Layne  more from now on!

Oh my.. this book is so hot from the very first pages. Sadie lost all hope for being loved, though she is not woman enough, not beautiful, not worth, being seen as cold at her work place. Also feeling out of place because of age difference. Tyson felt for her from the very first minute, however even he is not so sure of himself, afraid not being accepted, not being enough. But he is sooo sweet and cute and protective. All this set into company typical set up. Jealousy, rat race, crazy parents, stupid ex, worries and hot sex. It was very sexy ride and very appreciated as well. Read without being able to put it down.

Sadie is newly divorced and after the advice of a friend decides to hire an escort to help scratch the itch she's been having and help her get back into the dating scene. What she never expected was to have Tyson, one of the interns at the company she works for show up as her date for the night.

The two have an instant attraction but it can't go past this one steamy night....can it?

This book is definitely full of steam and it's nice to see an older woman, younger man storyline... Age is just a number right?

This is one smoking hot read I really enjoyed a good office romance so I could not wait to read this book and it did not disappoint. If you enjoy a good well written steamy older woman/younger man romance then you will not want to miss Sadie and Ty story. He works as an intern at her company but is in need of some extra money so is working as an escort on the side so imagine his surprise when he shows up and his date is Sadie the Vice President he has a major thing for. This was a great read I really enjoyed it.

I’m always up for a cougar story. But the dialogue here was cheesy and trying way too hard. He seemed like a teenager, and there was nothing but telling not showing.

Sadie is Frost by name and frost by nature - or, at least, she's that way in the office. When she celebrates her divorce by hiring an escort for sex, the last person she expects to knock at her door is the gorgeous but clumsy young intern from her office. However, he's far from clumsy in the bedroom. In fact, he's downright addictive!

"I saw in his eyes that this wasn't a fling to him. He didn't only want sex and that scared me."

Tyson Jacobs can't believe his luck when his next escort assignment turns out to be his beautiful, unattainable boss from the office. There's no way he's passing up this opportunity and he makes it a night that they both remember. When things heat up between them in and out of the bedroom, they both have to overcome certain obstacles before they can see a future together.

This was a hot, quick read. I loved Sadie and Ty's mutual passion and desire, and I also loved the sweetness between them. Ty is young but mature, and knows exactly what he's doing in the bedroom. Sadie is a little bit self-conscious and her confidence is low. I loved how Ty brought out her sexiness and boldness. A fab little read!

Intern is definitely very steamy and filled with a ton of passion, but what surprised me was the depth of feeling. Now don’t get me wrong, the passion and sexy times are hot in this book, but the emotion I felt from Sadie and Tyson was just as strong.

My heart had hurt for Sadie. A woman in her position relationship-wise in the beginning could have crumbled or become embittered. She impressed me with the actions she took. Talk about getting back on the horse! It actually showed me how she earned her position at work. She’s strong, determined, and fierce. But I also enjoyed that she also had a softer, vulnerable side that she showed Tyson. It made me enjoy her more.

As for Tyson, who couldn’t love a guy like him? Seriously, Harlow Layne needs to send him to me. He’s my new book boyfriend. He’s gorgeous, sweet, caring, thoughtful, sensitive, loving, damn near perfect! Then there’s the life experience he’s had that made my heart just ache for him.

STEAM LEVEL: 🔥🔥🔥

I mean, you can’t quite go wrong with a slightly longer than a novella reverse age gap, workplace romance. Sadie is the Ice Queen of the office but after her divorce, she hires an escort only to find out he’s the clumsy new intern in her office. Tyson is fairly mature for his age and after a cancer scare, he knows what he wants and he wants Sadie.

Honestly, the sexy scenes were kinda bland. They had the potential to be fantastic and sometimes they started that way, but then a paragraph later it finishes off as a summary and already moving on. When you’re in it for the smut, that really sucks.

There’s a bit of inner angst for both characters since Sadie is older and Tyson is a bit naive, but luckily they talk through everything. Overall, I enjoyed the story but it was just a bit bland after all the amazing stories I’ve read here lately.

Intern was definitely one steamy office romance story! This is the first book that I have read by this author and I would absolutely love to read more from her again in the future. I really felt a connection with Sadie, she might have been the ‘ice queen’ at work but I don’t think that was how she was really and it showed with her interactions with Tyson. I really love Tyson, he was such a lovely person and there was an amazing chemistry between the two of them.
If you are looking for a sizzling office romance story then you will not be disappointed with Intern – the storyline was good, the characters fantastic and the pace and flow of the story was great. It was a fairly short story but it didn’t fall short at all – I loved every second of it!
