Mascot or not, killing is inevitable.
Joining forces with new allies, Shuichi and Claire are on the hunt for a spaceship and one hundred coins in the mountains, but they are not alone out there. The foes they've fought thus far don't hold a candle to the gangs of "aliens" higher in the mountains, including a group with Claire's sister. Not only must they struggle to keep their lives, they must also strive for coins or the whole world could be in danger.
This volume was action packed, so much happened not only with our heroine's side, but with the backstage characters too. Claire has been a bit psychopathic all the way through the series so far, and it's a bit sad to see her drag Shuichi down to her level, but we also see Claire's remorse stronger too. Seeing the different sides really rounds out both characters well, along with a morally gray bad guy that would do anything for his men while having no qualms about killing other collectors. There have been a lot of tough decisions by the characters through this series, but it was refreshing to see someone, the bad guy, so strongly cling too his principles in contrast to Shuichi unraveling his.
The art is well done, particularly the designs of the monsters/aliens are really cool, and the action/fight scenes have been wonderfully illustrated. I also like how pretty quick after the first volume, it was corrected that the monsters are actually aliens and are addressed as such now, adding a bit of a sci-fi level to the series that weirdly makes sense even though there isn't any normal sci-fi tropes going on that I'm aware of. And thankfully, the unnecessary fan service has toned down quite a bit too, so it's easier to concentrate more on the plot and mysteries than a random sexual scene.
All in all, the series is progressing nicely, and I am definitely looking forward to catching up on the rest of the 14 volumes!

Nachdem ich in Band 3 und 4 in den letzten Wochen gelesen habe, musste ich gleich weiterlesen. Auch hier geht wieder sehr actionreich weiter. Leider wird es auch brutaler und Shuichis Gedanken werden immer düsterer. Ich mochte seinen Charakter immer sehr, aber ich fürchte er entwickelt sich jetzt in einer Richtung, die mir nicht so gefällt. Mehr möchte ich aus Spoilergründen nicht sagen.
Mir gefällt die Story weiterhin gut, aber ich hoffe der Actionanteil nimmt nicht überhand.
Der Zeichenstil ist weiterhin genial und die Postkarte, die der Erstauflage beiliegt gefällt mir wieder richtig gut.

Natürlich geht die Suche nach den Münzen weiter. Dabei erfahren wir auch immer mehr Schnipsel zum großen und ganzen. Der emotionale Zwiespalt den Shuichi aktuell zeigt finde ich nachvollziehbar und gut umgesetzt. Die Geschichte nimmt auf jeden Fall Fahrt auf und macht Lust auf mehr. Sie ist mal was anderes. Was mir aber mittlerweile unangenehm aufstößt ist die unnötig viele nackte Haut. Das ist schade da die Story mehr zu bieten hat als das jede Frau blank ziehen müsste

¿Quien es el protagonista de esta historia?
Muy buena historia, cada volumen supera el anterior. Me gusta porque a medida que se resuelven misterios, aparecen nuevos enigmas y personajes que de alguna forma están relacionados con Suichi.

I really thought this volume was just a perfect example of the story as a whole there wasn’t hardly as much fan service as the last volumes it was enough to not ruin the story but help it personally I loved how we can see each character reflect on there choice and what they are fighting for.
