I loved the narration of Christopher Branam

John is the town hottest and most eligible bachelor, who always gets what he wants. Eve is new to town, is offered a job that is too good to be true . Things go from hot to Scorching fast. Both are dealing with dark pasts , has John gotten more than he bargained for.
Two unlikely people feeling a very real and potent attraction had me from the start.

Eve moved to a new town after a horrible betrayal. She was getting her dream job in editing. Moving into her new apartment she meets a neighbor who is also her landlord, John. Turns out he owns the building and is her new boss. He owns the company. Their attraction is mutual but he comes across as an alphahole. Eve finds out he has dark desires. This entertaining and steamy book was narrated well by Christopher Branam.

If you like 50 shades you will enjoy this

I always enjoy reading Toni Goode stories. This story reminded me of 50 shades of grey in too many ways that it took the edge off my enjoyment.

it’s a thin line…

… between being a sexy boss & a #MeToo accusation and luckily for John, he’s straddling that line perfectly. I mean, Eve could have always pulled a “Cassie” but she didn’t. she didn’t even balk when he showed that one of his true colors was (Christian) Grey!
