I loved the premise of the story, but how it turned out was another story for this reader.

I don’t like how the Hollister boys turned out in the end and I wasn’t a fan of how some nasty town folk weren’t utilized to their best selves to move the story along. Also, I felt like the strip club was only added to make one thing happen- too bad it didn’t get used better as well.

I was able to guess the two big twists from the start. I did like the twists- I just wish we had seen more of the second one play out ... but maybe that’s what helps moves book 2 along?

I liked Lise & Marc's story. Good characters. This was a new author for me. It had a little mystery to it which made it intriguing. I'm voluntarily leaving an honest review for a free copy of the book via booksprout.

So...I liked it? 😂 I did though. Admittedly there were some things that bugged me. But I didn't let that interfere with my enjoyment (much) so overall yeah I liked it. 🤷‍♀️

The hero Beau was a BABE. Loved him. Give me some of that! The heroine Elise was a'ight. She had some funny moments but I never really connected with her. Beau and Elise as a couple were adorable though.

I also enjoyed the side characters and the rest of the MC guys.

My issues with this book/author were as follows:
1.) Pacing and structure. Much of the book felt clunky at times and didn't flow well at all. I especially did NOT enjoy how the ending wrapped up. It didn't flow at all.

2.) Losing focus of the plot/backstory. I felt like the author either grew lazy or chose to focus more on the present but we lost what I consider valuable details about their past. Sure we're told bare bones. We knew ENOUGH but there was SO MUCH left unexplored and unexplained. Maybe if there had been a few flashbacks (Shocked I'd say that? Yeah me too. Usually I hate em) we'd have felt more of a connection to their past and it wouldn't have felt so murky or confusing at times.

3.) The bad guy Houdini. I'll try not to spoil who he turned out to be but that was just LAME. Seriously that's who he was??? 🙄

4.) THIS IS A SPOILER SO BEWARE.
That ending! Everything was going SO WELL and then the author has Elise walk right to the bad guy to trade herself for her BFF. Yeah, that made sense but one, she was at her wedding reception. And two, she legit didn't attempt to tell anyone or signal anything despite the bad guy threatening her if she did tell anyone. I couldn't understand it! Here she is pregnant and newly married and she willingly goes to him without any fight. It was frustrating! No self preservation at all.

5.) The sex scenes. I love MC/Biker romances and I expect them to be a little naughty and to a point this had that element. But ultimately it fell short of what I was expecting/hoping for. Most of the time the sex scenes were sort of glossed over or more focused on their thoughts during and giving us brief play by play but blink and you'll miss it. Their first time was SUPER disappointing for me. One or two scenes got better but by this point I was reading for the plot so...whatever. I also find it annoying that no protection or birth control was discussed or mentioned yet when Elise tells Beau she's pregnant she mentions how he didn't use anything their last time which led to her pregnancy. So it leaves me to assume he had been using something before but the way the author wrote everything it was very hard to figure out and really up until that point I assumed they were bare backing it the whole time so I wasn't surprised she was knocked up.

6.) The way the ending was written. It was like hey here's the bad guy, this is who the bad guy is, and oh look Elise got away...NEXT CHAPTER. Wait Elise is waking up in a coffin?! (Color me confused!) Oh is that Beau who found her and digging her out? Oh ok...NEXT CHAPTER!! Oh so it's 7 months later and their baby is being born?! What? Did I miss something??? And wait no okay Beau tells us how the bad guy got Elise and how he had to find her in the coffin all those months ago. Hmmm yeah still not making sense here.

That above all else ruined the book for me. Yeah it wasn't the best and had another author wrote it it might've been better but ultimately it needs some major refinement. The ending was a mess! BUT in all it's hot mess glory I did like it so...yeah

This book was definitely an interesting read. In the beginning I enjoyed this book a lot. This is actually second time reading it. I really liked the characters and believed that Elise was relatable. I had written this review half way through the book and now I have come back to fix up my review. I lost two points on this book for a couple reasons. The only reason I deducted a point and this is because of a spoiler. As a female author and this happens many times I am disappointed when they opt for the route for a man whore and either a virgin or one who is close to one. Beau was a manwhore, and yes I understand prior to Elise and even after for the past seven years Same with the other bikers, but she has only been with two men, one being him. Personally for me it’s a turnoff when the man has tons of experience and the women have little to none. I just feel like she could have enjoyed herself in a city like Chicago, after all she wasn’t sworn to be a saint. I also don’t like how she constantly emphasizes she is not a whore. But can we talk about the men not ever being called a whore even when they sleep and cheat on their girlfriends with “pieces”, all because they are bikers? I just don’t enjoy that hypocritical type of situation, but otherwise the story was interesting. This happened quite often through the books, including show casing other men who later have their own stories fucking or getting a blow Job from pieces and I am practical and I know they are not nuns, but it’s a turn off. Especially when men for other women aren’t even spoke about. I also did not like Beau’s sudden switch in personality. Some might argue with me that he did not change, but there is a drastic change from when she was with him and he wasn’t a biker to when he was a biker. I hate that she constantly adjusts to him, but he began to start controlling her. For example some might think it’s hot but I didn’t like him moving her things out of her house. Later on they get into a huge fight and he is done with her, and I am kinda pissed cause he took her Chicago life away. The plot was enjoyable, but I felt as I read more she fought so much for him, only for his club to through her problems at her. Also when she finds out Beau’s true identity I know it would blow up in his face, but after that she easily forgave him which I was alright with. But I didn’t like her social life at all. Besides not being with any men, she also had no friends and family in 5 years. Realistically who is like that? In the beginning she was relatable, but not anymore. But that’s just me, otherwise I loved the story.

This book is ridiculous, but the heroine is idiotic and immature.

Spoilers: First off, she’s so dumb that after only five years she doesn’t recognize her male best friend anymore? They only difference is that he grew his hair out? What? The author tries to give a reason like after how the town treated her the heroine blocked out things. That’s just lazy writing and awful.

Then the heroine keeps running away, acting like a toddler, and getting herself into bad situations. She never learns to think before doing or saying stupid things.

The hero lies to her from the beginning and then just expects her to love him and fall in line with the rules of an MC club. Alpha, gritty, hard men are attractive - nonsensical, lying, Neanderthals that expect a woman to be a mind reader and just constantly obey are horrible.

I can’t find one redeeming aspect of this book.

😳 Didn’t see that coming 🤯

Bossman: Undone is by far one of the best books I’ve read this year, definitely in my top five.

Beau and Elise didn’t have a chance when they were younger, but that didn’t stop him from loving her more than he should have then. Years of friendship followed by years of no contact eventually leads them to a second chance. It’s not easy. With a crazy killer set on getting to her they face many ups and downs, twists and turns, but they are Lifers and will not give up on their forever together. Through heartbreak, loss, haters, friends, family, love, hate, and so much more Elise not only gets true love with Beau but an entire family with the Brimstone Lords.

A dark and beautifully twisted second chance MC romance. I dare you to read it!🖤

This is a very rough story, and not an MC one. It drags on and on without breaks. It reads like a rought draft where every idea the author had was some how worked into the story, and not always well. I couldn't get into it because every couple of pages or so the plot changed or the mood changed or tge characters personality chanced, only to change again in another few pages.

A scored women, small town, a biker club and a serial killer; all this is going on while the main character lives with a man she thinks she has just met but hasn't. It was just too much and too convoluted.

The story has great bones but need to be re-worked. It needs to breathe, if that makes sense.

I loved this story! Although I did have what was going on figured out pretty quickly, it was a great read. There is still one moment towards the end that I think will come to be important as the series moves forward. Who was the lunatic talking to?
It's hard to review it without giving away too much. Bossman and Elise are both nursing heartache and betrayal. I love how he stands up for her and protects her despite what they're facing.
The characters are all brought to life chapter by chapter. I thought it was refreshing how the author keeps the accents and way of talking true to the setting.
I've already started book 2, and I'm looking forward to more from this author.

good story

I enjoyed this book. It’s not the typical boy meets the home town hero marries him and they live happily ever after. There are a lot of twists and unexpected surprises.
What I didn’t like so much was the authors dumbing down of the characters. Lots of ain’ts and got no this and that. One of the main characters seems as if he was intelligent enough to go to college, yet he speaks as if he does not know how to speak properly.
I will read the next book in this series and see if the storyline levels out, since I realize the first book in any series needs to create the characters for future episodes.

Great book

A fantastic second chance at a forever love, a story filled with unforgettable characters with a storyline not to be believed. Expect plenty of action, a story filled with plenty of twists and turns as well as romance and intrigue. A brotherhood of bikers, loves lost and forgotten, a town lost in the past not willing to forgive and forget, what would you do to win the woman you lost. This story is well worth your time to read, I can't wait to read more in the series.

Great 👍 start on a new MC Series

Title might seem off so a MC Series, but let me tell you surprise it's a
Awesome book! I felt like you got to really feel the characters and the pain the most go through to get to the happy. Believe me I wanted to cheat but I just couldn't. It would have been disrespectful to the author and the experience of the story. I want you all to get this one, so we can get more stories from the Brimstone Lords.

It was a great read. It has great characters and a interesting story line that keeps you reading. There are some surprises and twist. There are a few things that kind of bugged me but not enough to give it a lower rating. It didn't say how the villain got away or how the found her so it felt a little unfinished in that part of the story. The back story of Logar felt lacking at times. I will be reading the next book.
Rated very good

Amazing

This book was awesome ! There are so many secrets revealed and twist and turns that it never gets boring. In fact some of the twist shocked me . Elise and Beau’s story is complicated and goes back to when they were teenagers . I liked both characters but when you first start the book it reads like you are in the middle . There are so many things that you don’t understand and then it all comes together. When that happens this story will knock your socks off .

I really enjoyed this book.

Biker books are 10 a penny nowadays and most are the same. But this one managed to be different with an interesying plot, great characters and writing that hooks you in.

What I particularly liked was the length of the boom which allowed for full exploration of the storyline.

Else n beau are delish, of course I have a soft spot for him.

Even better im new to this author do thsts awesome cos I have her back catalogue to sift though too.

Pleasant surprise!!

Good start!

This is a first time author for me and I enjoyed this first book.
There are some continuity issues and grammar/ tense miss-steps that can be overlooked & improved upon.
What is important is the storyline, character development, plot pace, super spicy NSFW scenes and the sweet HEA. Bossman/Beau and Elise are the perfect first introduction couple. I’m looking very forward to the next one.

lise Manning was called a traitor/bitch/whore and basically run out of town. She is back for her father's funeral and runs into Marc. He seems familiar but she's not sure how. Marc "Bossman" is there for her but there are a lot of secrets. Throw in a biker club, serial killer and you are good to go.

OMG❤️❤️❤️

This book was so so perfect I don’t know what to say. It has it all, alpha hot biker with a man bun, stunning sassy biker babe with great friends and brothers and let’s not forget town drama. There is even more drama with a serial killer. Even with all of that it flowed perfectly and made for a great read.

great!

This is my first book by this author and I loved it! It kept me guessing until the end! The characters are so amazing, Elise is not one to just roll over and forgive, you can actually see how she thinks through what has happened and looks at it from the others perspective which I find is really refreshing. Ready to start the next book!

So the story was a little long for my tastes and some of the situations were a but far fetched. That being said, the book kept my attention. I definitely wanted to finish it. And I want to read more in the series!

A whole new MC world discovered, and I've fallen in love already! A twist, a tragedy, a villain from the past come to reap revenge, however unjust it may seem.
Truly a beautifully tragic love story that brings you to your knees and picks you back up again! 5 stars and bring on book 2!!
