Is it too soon to reread? ;)

Wow! I started this book not even knowing I needed it. I thought the title was hilarious and figured I’ll give it a shot. Yes, the author is funny and keeps the vibe of this book light but really hits on some major topics.
I didn’t realize how far I have gotten away from my personal spirituality. Half way through I stopped and said “why the heck haven’t I meditated in so long?” That’s right, I let life and others get in the way of taking some time to reset myself. Guess what has changed? I’m taking that time back and setting up a quiet space! I learned so much in this book about areas of myself I want to work on and thanks to Crystal Gray I have a better understanding of how to do so!

Started this book and end up reading it in one day. Anyone who includes the word Fart in the title of a book about spirituality is a badass in my world! If you are looking for practical and down-to-earth help with deepening your spiritual practice and uncovering your unique gifts, read this! The journal prompts are awesome. I’m already going back to it again as I’m thinking about ideas. I’m going to buy the paperback version to have it on my nightstand for journaling (started with Kindle). Bottom line: I’d recommend this book to ANY woman!

Wonderful Book of Guidence

I really liked this read. It was insightful and easy to read. More importantly it was advice I could relate and see putting in place in my life. Making friends, finding my peace in the world have always been hard for me. Loved that this gave me a road map.

This book is remarkable. Crystal puts her soul on these pages but it isn't like reading her words- it is like she talking to you. She is brave for sharing so much of her personal life that helped her become Goddess. I know this book will be an inspiration to many women in the world! It isn't "witchy" or "woo-woo". She gives everyday tips and routines that you can start using TODAY for happiness, patience, inner peace, and spiritual enlightenment. You will laugh. You will cry. Most of all you will see a shift in your life- DAY 1!

This book is very easy to read & inspirational every step of the way. It helps you feel like you’re not alone with your fears and gives you hope it’s possible and that you will become who you are meant to be! Plus it’s really funny and relatable. I highly recommend.

Brilliant introduction / reminder / summary to life as a woman

Crystal writes as though she is talking to you, she loves you and wants to help you to be the best you that you can be. Sometimes that means calling bull for you, mostly it means offering lots of suggestions of ways of help yourself.
A great book to introduce someone to divine feminine wisdom, remind anyone who has become a bit sidetracked or summarise a lot of deeper books and wisdom (such as those by Lisa Lister, Tanishka - both of whom I've read and think are superb, Rebecca Campbell).
I recommend it so highly, I am considering buying one each for all my female relatives!

Simplistic

Nothing new here. Just a simplistic rendering of the usual new agey, loa, blah blah blah. Granted I was warned by the title which would only appeal to an immature thirteen year old boy. Glad the author beat her addictions and bettered her life but there are no insights or depth. There are journal prompts and suggested activities. Not new and not engaging.

No Fluff Spirituality

This was such a breath of fresh air in New Age readings. I can relate to so much of what Crystal writes about on an authentic soul level. This is a must for anyone, especially women, to read on their spiritual journey.

Edit: I keep coming back to this book for inspiration and advice. I changed my rating to 5 stars because it's really good stuff. I don't mind the name so much anymore, because the content is so sprvial.

Original review:
4 stars because I have a hard time recommending a book with the word farting as a self help book. Also, I always feel suspect when I see Dorian Virtue mentioned in a book. Those are my only complaints though, otherwise she reads like a supportive friend.

Crystal Gray breaks down some useful techniques based on the law of attraction, yoga, chakras and recognizing the "embarrassing" things that actually make you the cool person you are. There are some uncomfortable feelings that may come up when you read this if you've been where I am on my path, but she helps you confront them in a compassionate, easy to understand way. You will feel better about yourself if you are open to her encouragement.

I enjoyed the thoughts about gurus. She isnt a fan, which I respect. Her reasoning is some day, inevitably, they will disappoint you in some way, and to idolize them makes the disappointment hurt. She instead recommends your intuition and community, for her a sisterhood.

Lots of journal prompts. Quick read. I liked it.
