Using What I Got
Growing up Sereyah use to always hear her mom, aunts and her moms friends say that a woman has something that can always make them some money so a woman should never go broke. But she never knew what that meant growing up, it wasn’t until she got to the point where she was tired of working just to pay the bills. Tired of working so hard but still living paycheck to paycheck. You never know how desperate you can become when you don’t have enough money left in your wallet to buy a bag of chips from paying all your bills but you just got paid. When Sereyah got to the point where she was fed up with that lifestyle and an opportunity presented itself, she jumped on it. But will Sereyah continue to live the lifestyle? Will anyone find out about what she did? Or will this be a one time thing? You never know what a woman will do when her back is against the wall but she refusing to lose….. Using what I got

What you Got
The premise of the story was great but the execution fell flat in my opinion. The writer "told " but didn't "show". It was hard to feel bad for a main character who just never made moves to better her life but thought sex would fix it.
This book didn't do it for me but I think that as Tela Allen develops her storytelling skills, we will see big things from her over time. I will be cheering for that. Never stop writing.

Great read
This was a very different book for me to read .it was great .everyone deserves a happy ending. So many women tune to this lifestyle but some don't make it back the same. Is there going to be a part to I would love to see how Sarah wedding turns out .does amber and Lonnie make it oh my good there are just so many questions .

Tela never disappoints! Woooh they literally used what they got to get what they wanted and needed. I mean it was written where you experienced everything they did , you felt the pleasure and pain . Just like true hustlers the pioneers knew when to gracefully bow out . You can’t turn a hoe into a house wife but a retired one can be one . 🤣

Using what I got
Very interesting read. I was hoping theses ladies would have put fourth a little more effort of getting their lives together. However I love that they were able to find love or peace at the end of the day.

These girls had me laughing and SMH. I was happy to see how they went from being hard on love to finding love. This story shows you don't stay the same person and change can happen at any time

I love this book from the beginning to the end it goes to show what ladies have to do to get what they want in the world, but also still want love and respect in the world as well.
