To Bridget, Sam Jones was her last chance to for her and Ben to have a home and security. But to young Ben, Sam is an unwelcome change that takes him far away from his old life. Sam Jones is a kind man, and he can see the pain in Ben—a pain like a scared young horse. He wants to welcome both Ben and his lovely sister into his home, even though Ben is determined to see otherwise. And the more Sam and Bridget grow to care for each other, the more Ben rebels, especially as Christmas draws near. But while Bridget believes Ben just needs more time, Sam has other plans—plans that Bridget is not sure she agrees with. Should she trust him, or is he not the man she expected him to be?

Mail-Order Bride Historical Romance

Bridget and her brother are all alone after their father dies. As a forward thinking person Bridget realized months before her father's death that she needed help with raising her brother. She writes letters to a man in Nebraska. The day of her father's funeral she gets the letter that will change her life and her brothers life for ever. The rest of her life begins with that letter. Enjoy the story, I did!!!!!!

Orphan’s & Horses

Orphan’s & Horses. What a great story, started out with a tragedy, but Bridget felt like the only solution was to become a mail order bride, in order to make a stable home and life for her angry young brother and her self. The new husband Sam’s gentle way of taming horses, on his own ranch, works wonders in taming an angry boy.

A Reluctant Christmas Family

Ben and Bridget have lost both parents, she is worried that there is no way to support each other and she writes to become a mail order bride. Ben hears this and is angry.

Sam is a kind man who trains horses, he tells Bridget he will take care of them both. Says the boy needs hard work and he will come around.

Great quick read.

She became a Mail Order Bride and took her brother with her

Her parents died and she had to figure how to take care of herself and her brother. The grief affected her brother and made him sullen and rebellious. She thought her new husband was picking on her brother but I liked the way the story told that he knew what her brother needed.

12 Mail Order Brides of Christmas book 8

Bridget and her brother Ben lost both of their parents in a year. When their father became ill, Bridget wrote to Sam a horse breeder as a mail order bride. Ben was pretty ornery and rude and Sam told Bridget to let him take care of Ben. This is a really good story, and i fell in Love with Sam his character is Wonderful.

Good Story

This was a story of the young woman and her brother who lose their parents. Then she becomes a mail order bride. Things are not always what they seem. In this story patience and love pays off on a young boy.

Ok

Understand the hardships and loss. Understand the difficulty in adjusting to yet more change. It just needed more development between the couple. Needed a bit more depth. Apart from that, a nice story.

HAPPY ENDINGS!

What a BEAUTIFUL short and sweet story! Tragedy and sorrow followed Ben and Bridget in their short young life but she handled it nicely and picked a fine mail order husband. Bonus was he liked Ben!

So sweet and up lifting, a definite show of the Christmas spirit. In depth characters and quite a bit of detail for a short story.
