The fate of the world rests on the shoulders of four sexy dragon shifters and the woman they’re sworn to serve…
It's time for me to embrace my destiny as the next Black Dragon, the one who can control all five elements and bring balance to the realms.
I've bonded with two of my mates, Jasin and Auric, and now we continue our journey so I can become intimate with Slade and Reven. It’s a race against the Dragons we’re meant to overthrow, who will do anything to stop us from fulfilling our destiny.
We’re going to need allies if we want to defeat the Dragons, even if that means confronting the dark secrets of our pasts. But death and destruction follow us at every turn, and unlocking the hearts of my last two mates seems nearly impossible.
When all seems lost, will love be enough to save us?

Unfortunately I didn't enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed the first two in this series. The beginning of this book was kind of boring to be honest.
But, roughly 50% in and I was hooked again. I absolutely adore the Reven scenes! He is definitely my favorite. The steamy scenes in this book were hot as hell lol! Especially that one scene, you know what I mean if you read this book.
That ending had me shook lmao. I am so excited for the next book aka Reven's book!
I think this series has officially made me a fan of RH books. SHAKE THE EARTH was so good and I just love these characters so much! Kira's relationship with Jasin and Auric is solid so in this book we see her and Slade working out their feelings. Slade is the calm and stable rock of the group but he's also the one most resistant to sharing Kira. A past relationship burned Slade and as much as he wants to keep his heart out of it he can't help but fall for Kira. I loved the way Kira let Slade go at his own pace and she never pushed him. She wants him but she respects how difficult this situation is for Slade.
I can't go into much detail in this review without giving away big plot points but it was just as fast paced as the previous books. I love how fast and easy these books are and they're just really immersive without being bogged down in tons of detail. The ending for SHAKE THE EARTH was a definite cliffhanger and had some serious revelations that I can't wait to learn more about in the last book!

“I gave away my heart once and had it broken. I never thought I would ever love again, and didn't want to even try. And then I met you…” He drew in a breath, his fingers tightening on my skin. “I didn't want to love you either. I tried to resist you for so long. But there was no use. I fell for you anyway.”
3.5 Stars Sadly this book will be a wrap for me. I found it to be more of the same from the previous books and aside from a snippet of detail dropped here and there I found I really did not care. In the end the heroine is taken and in the clutches of her horrible mother and current black dragon. Her father who assisted in her kidnapping returns to her men and promises to help them get her back, umm sure ok buddy 🤦🏽♀️ There was a bit more action this time around and the story did veer off the usual path a bit but it still lacked something. I didn’t love how 100% in and devoted to the cause the heroine is while two of her men still flounder but ultimately cave, it lacked romance and heat. We still know so little about who each of them is that it made her affection for them annoying more than anything. I think the heroine also lost her badassery that we see from her in book one and even now having gained three sets of powers she’s still just dull to me. There’s no real mystery to the books and it’s clear what will happen and where it’s going. At this point I just don’t care to continue on and I’m really sad because I still love the concept of the books but find they just lack something.

I didn't dislike it, but there has always been something really juvenile about Kira's personality, and it felt like that got really dialed up in this book. And honestly, that makes no sense. Sure, 20 is young in the modern world. But in the medieval-esque era this fantasy lives in, 20 was adult. Furthermore, a 20 year old who has been forced to survive on her own after her family was murdered when she was 12 ... forced to live on the road, working with merchants, bandits, whatever came her way ... it's hard to believe she'd be such a young, naive, precious heroine. And it irritates me, because she wasn't that way in the first book - she was a survivor who dealt with abuse regularly and was a little jaded because of it, who hunted for her food and was capable of handling herself. She's actually degenerated from there - gone from being a capable woman who took up arms to fight when it was needed, to this cowering, emo damsel who needs the guys to handle everything.
The narrative has devolved into the worst kind of YA.
I'll finish it, because there's just 1 book left, but honestly ... meh.
Well I'm really not getting these books. Not a lot seemed to happen. We met Slade's family, she mated with Slade in a cringy manner and then she got taken to her mother. It's weird and I'm just not really interested in it. I feel like everything is instant the characters aren't gelling and then the story is very depressing. You have the vibe that her mother and her 4 dragons are unbeatable.
When I give this book two stars, I'm not saying it was an awful, god forsaken book. But what I am saying is meh, it was fine. It was okay. It was a little boring to be honest. This book follows Kira and her boys as they continue to the Earth Realm to continue with the bonding ceremonies, meeting up with the resistence to get them there. They know at this stage the dragons will be waiting to kill them, so they have to smart and they have to be fast about it. Kira ends up telling the guys she used to be a bandit, a secret she kept from them yet gets annoyed every time they keep something from her. Kira's attitude was slightly more mature in this book than it has been in other books but she still acts like an entitled and petulant child in places, especially when she sees Slade talking to his ex and gets all teary eyed. How dare he lived a life before you. Anyway, not a lot actually really happened in this book.
The action is heating up in the third book in the Her Elemental Dragons series. We're getting a bit more romance and heat, too. Now that Kira has bonded with her first two mates, their journey to get to the third temple (of the Earth god) becomes more perilous, as the ruling dragons are fighting against them. This book is a successful sequel -- it's building (and improving) on the books that come before. Briggs could still do better balancing character development, action, and romance, but she's moving in the right direction.
Omg that ending! Ah! I can’t wait for the next book! Danger lurks around every corner as Kira and her sexy dragon mates fight to complete the bond and end the reign of the Black Dragon. So much happened in this story building up to the epic conclusion. I loved uncovering more about the characters and am looking forward to learn more about my sexy favorite assassin in the next book as well.
No surprises here, exactly what it says on the tin, you want a reverse harem fantasy with a tiny bit of plot and a good bit of steam this series is your go to so long as you aren't easily squicked by trite emotional beats.
TLDR - love the spice increase once again. Short and snappy but still super enjoyable -
I don’t really have much to say because a lot of my feelings are the same as the other books but once again I’m loving seeing the relationships grow between the characters emotionally and now more physically and it’s pretty much why I read this series now. I live for seeing each different relationship grow and not just the ones with the MC which kinda shocked me that I would care about the relationships between the harem
The plot has me intrigued enough to keep going with the small twists and turns
Everything is more difficult for Kira and her men. The Black Dragon's men know who they are and they will stop at nothing to get rid of Kira. I still don't understand why they chose to live so long.
I do like how Slade and Reven are slowly getting closer to Kira. Reven continues to act all unemotional but he is lying to himself that he can't love. At least Slade is ready to bond and accept Kira despite his past love.
It's getting really intense as the bad guys are actively seeking out our challengers. Visiting the temples, bonding with her mates, learning new skills. Much is happening, and the ending is killing me. Moving straight into book 4!
Whoa, this book had so much happening. An epic dragon battle, broken hearts, lives lost, and a long time coming family reunion between mother and daughter. I loved seeing Kira and her relationships with her men continue to progress and they are opening up to each other much more. Reven is still a jerk who just needs to learn to accept his feelings already 🤦🏼♀️.
My one annoyance with Kira as a character is her lack of confidence in herself in regards to her mates and constantly jumping to conclusions. In every book so far, she has questioned her worth for each of her mates and has doubts that they truly wanted her for her rather than to fulfill their destiny. She has seen each of her mates in what appears to be compromising situations with various women of their past and rather than staking her claim, she runs off and assumes the worst. That just irritated me because I would be making quite a scene if I was her.
I do love that Kira will make the tough decision and risk her safety to do what is right. Sometimes doing the right thing is the hardest route to take but she never hesitates.
I am now curious as to who are truly the villains in this series. The interaction between Kira and her mother make me wonder if there is much more going on behind the scenes that we don’t know or if Kira has been falsely informed and is entrusting the wrong people. This final book will be an interesting ride and answer these questions for me so I’m excited to see what happens.
This is book 3 in the series and it should be read in order. Kira's past is unfolding as we travel along with her and her mates to the Earth Realm. Slade seems more distant than the other mates. I had a hard time liking him. But the sex scenes were still as hot as ever. Shake the Earth starts slowly but the ending is intense. Better have the fourth book loaded and ready to play, because the cliffhanger is EPIC!! I really enjoyed finding out more about Kira and her parents. The relationships between her and her mates are growing stronger and it is fun to follow their evolutions. I cannot wait to listen to the conclusion.
Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter once again narrate this story. I am thrilled that they have narrated the entire series. It keeps the characters consistent and the flow of the books seamless. Lia Langola is superb in her narration of Kira. Kira comes to life through Ms Langola's narration. Ms Langola is amazing at narrating the male characters. She uses different tones to seperate each character consistently. Lia Langola has a sultry voice that is easy to listen to. Stephen Dexter compliments Lia Langola in his narration. Mr Dexter also easily keeps the characters distinctly different and easy to follow. He brings out the alpha in all the males. Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter are a wonderful narrating team for this story.
This book was much slower in the beginning, but definitely had a lot more steamy scenes than the first two. Probably because Kira is bonded with 2 of her mates, and she has a few make out sessions with Slade and Reven. I don’t know why, but I never warmed up to Slade, and I find him to be just a “meh” character. The final third of the book is where all the action happens and I got hooked again.
There does come a time in nearly every RH series I’ve read that the h begins to get on my nerves. It happened for me in this book. Look Kira, you’re already screwing 2 guys, and will be screwing 4 of them soon. If they can deal with that, you can deal with one of your guys having a conversation with another woman without acting like he’s violated your trust. Seriously, get a grip.
While, on the whole, I think this series is OK, I don’t love it. I love a series where I want to screw the H (or Heroes) myself and bonus points if the h is awesome enough that I can put myself in her shoes OR she’s someone that I would want to have a drink with. I don’t feel any of that with Slade or Kira. I mean, I’m interested enough that I’d like to know what happens but I’m not DYING to know. So I think that’s what I’m missing here. I don’t feel any passion toward them. I’d do Jasin though. Absolutely.
Audio book review This is book 3 in the series. And boy o boy what a series. This one is with the earth elements with Kyra and her mates .
Heroine is Kira . Heros are her 4 mates This story is how Slade must decide that in order for him and Kira to bond , he , they must go threw his village to get to the earth Temple. Everyone wants to spend a few days in his village, to rest and get their bearings . There is a surprise when out of the four dragons that serve the black dragon , Kira finds out who her father is . Slade and Kira and their party go up the mountains and meet the resistance. They stay with the resistance people and make plans. The plans is to distract the four dragons so Kira and Slade get to bond , While at the temple an accident happens, actually more then one . One of Kiras mates get injured, near death . There was only one way to save him. And the resistance leader gets killed. There are many more incidents that happen, I don’t want to mention it and spoil it you need to get it
Lia and Stephen are fantastic together. Love how their voices are strong, clear , smooth and so great together

Heather's Notes Taking off because it ends in a cliffhanger. It is also the heroine getting kidnapped. So shocking (not). I really dislike some cliches, still I am enjoying the story, especially since I don't expect too much.
The cliffhanger on this book was EPIC! It's building up to what is coming in the next and final book and from that small glance, you can tell it's gonna be out of this world amazing!
Shake the Earth is the 3rd book in this series and continues where book 2 left off with Kira and her 4 mates journey. They are working their way to the Earth Temple so Kira & Slade can finalize their bond before the God and get it blessed. They run into some trouble of course but they're determined to see this through to the end and refuse to accept anything but success.
We get some action, drama, hot love scenes and touching moments in Shake the Earth. I look forward to the next book a lot, not only because I'm dying to see what happens but because Reven has interested me the most from the very beginning. Probably because he's so mysterious and we don't know him like the others.
I finished this book in a few hours. I couldn't stop reading it. Each book we get a little closer to seeing all four men become dragons. This book brought us even closer to our goal. What I love about the plot is the depth of the characters. The bond and kinship displayed. Kira is so invested in building a union between them. It's beautiful and inspiring.
I felt like their was so much that took place in the book and I didn't find any of it boring. It was a nice way to set things up. We were able to dig a bit deeper into Slate's and Kira's past which was paramount to there present situation. Kira's past with the bandits lead them to the resistance. I enjoyed the time we were able to spend with Kira at Slate's village. It gave her a bit of normalcy. Especially after what happened to her friend. I liked how well those pages were set up. We saw the utter destruction of a town and them the opposite. I'm looking forward to the next book.

Loved this book! Really well written lead female in Kira - I instantly felt for her, and wanted her to pull through and succeed in her mission.
The third male lead is Slade, he has some doubts about being chosen, and about getting his heart broken. So it takes time for Kira to break down his walls - yet when she finally does (despite the world literally crumbling around them) they are so good together!
The four men - soon to be dragons - are all individually interesting and over the complete series you leanr more about each, and get drawn into wanted this to work. Wanting them to love, laugh and bet the current rulers into pulp.... the twists and turns about Kira's family are shocking, but make the backstory make more sense.
In one weekend I read the whole series - my kids complained I starved them as it got past 9pm before one of them was brave enough to hint at dinner being needed LOL.
