With a floor boss suddenly spawning in what was believed to be a safe zone in the dungeon everyone is in trouble as those that attempt to defeat the Goliath find it is not only incredibly tough but seemingly more intelligent than the ones spawned on other floors. It will take all sorts of tricks and skills to survive the experience and the cost for this fight will be incredible pain but for those that make it the reward will be glory and loot (minus the fees imposed by the guild for certain unauthorized deities going down into the dungeon themselves.) Even more interesting is after the battle is over Hermes lets slip Bell's grandfather's name and now it makes sense how he is able to do even half of what he can do in the story. :)
Unfortunately even though it looks like there will be more to the manga this is the last volume seeing as it was cancelled right after it (not sure why but thankfully it was after the end of the fight and not before.) As such from what I gather the "War Game Arc" is going to be skipped but if you want more Danmachi manga don't worry for the story picks up again in Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? II Vol. 1 and of course there are an assortment of other related books including Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? On the Side: Sword Oratoria Manga, Vol. 1 if you want to see things from the Loki camp. Let us hope whatever troubles afflicted this series stays far clear from the manga adaptions of the others. :)
A little predictable but mostly entertaining. The gods are starting to get annoying though. Hermes’ reaction to Bell’s big moment is really cliche, and Hestia is really passive aggressive clingy possessive.
Wow, Bell has really grown! I can't believe he didn't level up! Wtf! I'm glad Welf is staying in the party with him and Lilly....but what about Lilly....can't someone help her?
