Afghanistan. Every year an assignment for thousands of British personnel. TV producer Dan Simmons wants to film it all, so he gets himself imbedded with a regiment. He shoots some film. Then he shoots himself. Military Police captain Stef Maguire is under pressure to file it away, but she has heard Simmons' dying words and they lead her to ex-cop, ex-PI Tom Fletcher.
