Mindee: An Ogham Chronicle Short Story

Rate this book
Readers are fascinated by the terrifying fey assassin Mindee, from An Argument of Fairies. This short story explores her background.

Before she was an assassin, Mindee lived a very different life as the famous singer Caile. When Caile sees the looming genocidal war she decides to leave behind her life of luxury and join the army. Nobody believes a half-fey should be allowed to be a part of the army. But Caile is determined to prove them wrong. She makes it into an elite unit called the Amhranaithe, the vaunted Bladesingers. But all is not well and the pressure causes Caile to unravel. As she falls apart Caile turns to her past for help and emerges transformed.
