A Love Never Forgotten was originally published as Never Forget, part of the USA Today Bestseller Love Under Siege anthology.

Dreams or nightmares. Truth or lies. He can't tell them apart. Then he discovers the woman who has haunted his dreams is real. Is she his future? Or his past?

After an accident ten years before, Matthew St. Clare’s new face makes him look a decade younger than his fifty-two years. The worry lines from his job as the deputy director of the CIAs most covert teams has turned his hair white. He can’t afford becoming attached to anyone because it puts a target on their back, so he keeps his affairs casual. But his dreams are hot and steamy, filled with love and desperation, always with the same woman. Always ending in the same nightmare of darkness and fear. Matt thinks he’s going crazy…until he sees her.

Former Army Lieutenant Elizabeth Kamp just buried her second husband. He wasn’t much of a loss. Not like Special Forces Captain Mason Sinclair who had been taken from her in an explosion while together on a mission. She doesn't need another man in her life, but when someone tries to kill her, she'll accept help from a saint to protect her children. But can she protect her heart from him?

The plot is fantastic and I loved the heroine and her adorable children. I did struggle with the manwhore image of the hero though. His easy acceptance of her children, when early on he didn’t like children, seems out of character for me. Nonetheless, as always with Ms. Cooper’s books, an emotionally charged romance along with plenty of action. Happy reading 📖!

In starting this review, I will first admit that I have purchased KaLyn Cooper’s Black Swan and Guardian Elite series, yet to date have not read either series; trust me, this error in judgement will be rectified very soon. Secondly, when I initially started this book, I was overwhelmed by the elaborate detail of the military aspect of the story and wondered if I had made a mistake in choosing this story. I was quickly became thoroughly enthralled.

This first part of the Never Forgotten Trilogy is mind- blowing! And unlike a few other authors I had read, while this is a story is told across three separate books, it does not just revolve around one couple. Yes, Matthew and Elizabeth play a significant part throughout the telling of the entire story, and this first instalment tells of their history and the inexplicable events that have shaped their lives over the past 10 years; but the trilogy will eventually give readers insight into 5 exceptional people and their personal journeys and how their lives have been interwoven, and where they’re headed now.

Ms Cooper is a master story teller, with a wealth of military knowledge and a gift for building a world that both compels the reader to want more and tears you to pieces emotionally as the story unfolds. Mystery, intrigue, duplicity and danger, these are merely some of the aspects of this all-consuming story. But within the telling, there is also the human factor and the very real-life altering events that are gut-wrenching, heartbreaking and what ultimately makes these extraordinary people so unique. I’m 100% addicted to this tale and can’t wait for what comes next!

Elizabeth Kamp and Matthew St. Clare feel an instant connection when they meet. A connection that goes much deeper than either could have expected. That connection triggers reactions which lead to unexpected consequences. While Elizabeth doesn’t realize she’s getting a second chance at her first love, and Matthew never believed he would fight his way back to the only woman he ever loved, they both never thought they could end up being in the fight for their lives.

This is the beginning to a new intriguing series which has started off with a bang! As the story delves into a decade long conspiracy involving high ranking members of the CIA, we are faced with psychological exploitation, betrayal, life threatening attempts, even death. In the midst of the action, Elizabeth and Matthew are coming to grips with their new reality as Matthew struggles to overcome the psychological roadblocks of his memory, and they both fight to save Elizabeth’s life and protect her family.

The emotions are high, the intrigue is deep, and the passion is steamy. From the beginning this story will grab you and won’t let you go even at the end. This is a fast-paced, engaging read, full of action, suspense, and HOT romance. I can’t wait for the saga to continue in the next story!

Interesting story line that could have been really good but there were simply too many typos, time changes,...everything.

The story would have done better with a clearer structure, it stays superficial despite dealing with some heavy topics. The protagonists miss some big fat clues and in the end, well, I sat there and wondered why this was already supposed to be the end because there was a pretty nasty cliffhanger in my eyes despite a happy-for-now moment.

What is worse is the fact that the next book is about Teagan and Logan and not about Elizabeth and Matthew so the insight will not be the same.

Though it might even be worse that there are far too many people pulling the strings and some really big plot holes don't help either. Even though I am a bit curious about the rest of the story, I won't read any books by this author again.

To be fair, I read this in a box set where it was still called Never forget so maybe some of these issues have been fixed (when in doubt... otherwise it would have been two stars instead of three) but I haven't found anything indicating that and as the plot itself has far too many holes... Well.

I read this book as part of the Love Under Siege Anthology, it is a favorite.

Once again KaLyn has me biting my nails. Now I know the CIA does scary stuff, but man this is really terrifying.

Elizabeth lost her husband of less than a day ten years ago in an explosion overseas. Now she is burying her second one, a victim of an auto accident.

Matthew is Gabe's second in command, he's been having dreams of a silvery-eyed woman and a lot of circumstances that seem real but couldn't be, could they?

He meets the woman haunting his dreams at her husband funeral. More than that he seems to recognize her former teammates, but still not really.

As Matt insinuates himself into her life, he learns more things that worry him. Protecting her and her children is foremost on this list.

I can't wait for the next book in this trilogy. I loved the mention of the Black Swans and Uncle Tom Callahan.

This is an intense, romantic, scary, and emotional book. I loved every minute of it.

A Love Never Forgotten by KaLyn Cooper

This is book one of the authors Never Forgotten Trilogy about a failed mission in Syria years ago and how those people can carry on after the loss of one of their own. But mostly my thought was how well someone can embed in the alphabet agencies as a mole and not the USA. I have read almost all of the Black Swan and Special Forces series and with this trilogy touching on Elizabeth, Logan, Micah and Teagan I'm sure all of the books will be excellent.

When dreams start to haunt Matthew St. Clare of a beautiful woman he never realized that it would be someone who translates for his boss at the CIA Elizabeth or that he isn't who he thinks he has been for the past 10 years. But for Elizabeth Kamp the shock of seeing Matthew/Mason is too much at her husband's funeral. When she discovers that her late husband was a lying cheat and left her with a lot of bills plus that he was killed in place of her she'll have to trust a man who she thought was dead.

There's a lot of action packed story, cute kids, plus both Elizabeth and Matt will need to trust each other and find out who wants them dead. Because the HVT they were searching for a decade ago is still out there and he wants to be the next Caliphate.

This is the start of a series which ultimately revolves around a failed mission in Syria where one of the team members died. Since then Elizabeth has put her life back together, now has two children, and she works as a translator. But when her current husband dies, she finds many things about him that she didn't know.

At the same time, Matthew St. Clare has been having dreams about a woman and when he randomly sees her one day, he starts to wonder if they were dreams or memories. And then he starts having headaches.

No spoilers so I won't say any more other than - undying love, romance, family, betrayal. If you like those in the stories you read, you will want to read this one. The betrayal portion of the storyline does continue into the next books in the series.

quattro stelle e mezzo oneste

This is both a story of unbreakable love and also a suspenseful conspiracy and I gobbled up every word of it. I felt invested in the H and h getting together (which didn’t happen within hours of their meeting - I do get tired of that) and Elizabeth’s children were adorable. Whilst it is a full length book, it is obvious to the reader that there is still more to uncover (whether that will be with this couple, or they will play a minor role with another couple front and centre, we will have to wait and see). Highly recommended.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A Love Never Forgotten

WOW! Another exciting story! This is the story about Mason/Matt and Lizzie. The beginning was sad as Lizzie lost her husband, Mason. Mason didn't did but he did have his memory suppressed. After 10 long years, Matt's memory as Mason was slowly returning once he saw Lizzie. It's too bad that their friend was the traitor of the group and died trying to kill Lizzie. I am happy that these two found their lost love and got married once again but we are left wanting more. KaLyn left us a cliffhanger. FANTASTIC job KaLyn! I would recommend this book. Can't wait for the next book!

I loved this book EXCEPT it doesn't have an ending. In other words, the "situation" with Elizabeth & Mason is not brought to a satisfactory conclusion. It irritates me to no end when I have to buy a 2nd & 3rd book to get the ending to the 1st.
And that's a big IF we get the ending.
The story is good. No doubt about that but I would be much happier paying more and getting the whole story in one book.

Let me be clear...I don't mind books being in a series or involving the same characters. But give each book an ending.
I won't be messing around with KaLyn Cooper's books anymore if this is her writing style.

A Love Never Forgotten by Kalyn Cooper is Matthew and Elizabeth’s story. Their story may have you shed a tear or two. There is plenty of drama, action, sizzle and suspense to keep the pages turning in this book. I enjoyed every page of this book and can't wait to read my next book by KaLyn Cooper. A Love Never Forgotten is book 1 of the Never Forgotten Trilogy but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Nice Read!

I enjoyed reading this book! A couple of things were left unanswered to me, but I have book 2 to read; just maybe my questions will be answered! This book has some things going on in it that has me wondering, how can someone work in a high ranking job like the CIA for over 30 years and no one knows you are related to one of the most wanted men in the world? I'm trying to figure that one out! Other than that, I really enjoyed reading this book and I know others will too! I definitely will recommend this book to others!

OMGosh this was Freakin' Greatness💚💙
I devoured it. Excellent storyline, filled with action and so many twists. The truth versus what the alphabet soup agencies "lead" people to believe.
Matthew and Elizabeth have an instant "connection" to one another, it's almost as if they've known each other in another life time, and they naturally gravitate toward one another. Their chemistry gets the pages pretty hot, but what they discover will have your mind spinning and running a plethora of emotions, biting your nails and wanting to kick a$$ right along side them.
Their journey is truly sigh worthy! The first of a series, stand alone and I loved it all.
Recommended Read and looking forward to more in this series.

Wow! Romantic and suspenseful

KaLynn Cooper is one of the few authors who are an automatic one-click purchase without having to read the book blurb. I’m a huge fan of her Black Swan series, and was intrigued by the idea of a new series.

This book has s a great first book in what will be another awesome series. I can’t wait to read more about Matthew and Elizabeth and their friends in the next books.

Kalyn Cooper tells an amazing tale of love and intrigue. Her grasp of military life is impressive (but not surprising, considering her life as a military spouse). An op gone wrong, ten years of loss and heartache. Memories long buried come rushing back. Matt and Elizabeth find each other again, but someone doesn’t want them together. Definitely one-click!!

Such surprising and suspense filled book, traitors within your own country and one of the top government agencies, using the military for personal gain and thievery, mind games and subterfuge, something you think only happens in the movies, excited to see where this series goes, thank you, Dana

Thought provoking

First book in this trilogy sets the background and introduces most of the important characters. It also sets the premises for the first book. Lots of spies, terrorist, some good guys and gals along with secret medical procedures that seem incredible. Good read.

New author

This was a.new author for me. Enjoyed the story and the authenticity of the scenes and background. Nice mystery going on in what will be a trilogy. Nice transition for the male lead from "man whore" to decent guy. I had wondered where the author was going with that!
