This book, based on a true story is about the Weber family who lives near a small village high in the Bavarian alps of Germany. His mother is injured and must be hospitalized. Toni Weber must care for his younger brother so his Father will not loose his Job. Tony fears they will be placed in an Orphanage.

This is a wonderful story. One of our all time favorite books. Our copy has been read so much it is falling apart. We are very careful with our books and when they fall apart you know they have been read much. It is in our top 100 personally owned and read books.
