Accused of being an eternal optimist, I was born and raised in the Midwest and migrated to the Pacific Northwest a few years ago. I began spinning tales of intrigue and adventure when I was in grade school, and wrote my first book when I was eleven — a thriller that ended with a mysterious phone call the reader never heard!

My college sweetheart and I have been married for over 20 years and are blessed with two wonderful sons, a bossy kitty and feisty Golden Retriever.

When not dreaming up inspirational tales, I’m usually out hiking in the Cascade Mountains, enjoying a fine cup of tea with friends, or hiding out in a movie theatre. I love to hear from readers! hopewhiteauthor@gmail.com

One of my favorite stories from Hope White. I haven't read the previous three books in this series, but didn't feel I was missing out on anything; I was able to hop right into the action. I love stories of saving kids and this one didn't disappoint. Figuring out why the bad guys were after the baby's family wasn't easy.

I don’t read a lot of contemporary, but the cover of this particular novel drew me in immediately. I was intrigued by the premise so decided to take a chance on something different than my usual fare, and I’m glad I did because I really enjoyed this quick read.

Typical for a Love Inspired Suspense, the action begins right away. And I do mean in those first pages. I could not imagine being in that situation and how I’d respond if I heard a crime happening over a baby monitor, let alone how I’d protect a child in my care.

The intensity remains high and reading how the characters responded to various situations seemed realistic without becoming too graphic for my reading tastes. I appreciated that there was no foul language in the name of “realism,” and that even though the bad guys were bad, I didn’t have to wade through descriptions of their deeds that were disturbing.

I can enjoy an adventure and a chase without bloody scenes that give me nightmares, thank you very much, and this book delivers a great story that satisfies. I recommend it for those who enjoy suspense without gore—it's a perfect vacation read.

I received a review copy of this book from the author but was under no obligation to post a positive review. The opinions expressed are both honest and my own.

They'll do anything to protect baby Mia...

It's been quite awhile since I've read a Hope White book. As soon as I cracked open Nanny Witness I was reminded just how much I enjoy them and why.

The action starts on page one and doesn't let up. Trust me, Carly and Whit don't get a chance to breathe and neither do readers. Mixed in with the danger and intrigue is a wonderful message of faith - and forgiveness. Forgiveness, especially of one's self, and letting go of the guilt isn't easy for Carly or Whit...something that will resonate with many readers.

I have to say that Carly is probably one of my favorite Love Inspired Suspense heroines. Her strength of character and faith despite a rough childhood are simply amazing. She is strong, tough, gentle, fiercely protective of her charge, and doesn't let her past destroy her.

Hope White did an amazing job with Nanny Witness and I breezed through it surprisingly fast, just couldn't seem to be able to set it aside. If you love romantic suspense, I know I do, this is one book I'd definitely recommend.

This story started out with a bang and was action packed throughout! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading it! There are twists and turns that I totally didn’t see coming, which made for a really good read!

I loved the unusual premise of this story. Carly, who is nanny to 7 month Mia, is on the run with Mia after she hears a break-in and gun shots through the baby monitor. Carly has no idea what’s going on or who to trust until Mia’s uncle, who is a cop, comes out of nowhere and tries to both solve the mystery and protect Carly and Mia. I liked this story because it was unpredictable and both main characters had really interesting backgrounds that added to the complexity of the story. There is also a secondary character, or two, that I’m hoping gets their own story! I will definitely be on the lookout for more of Hope White’s stories!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

Clearly I have not read enough of Hope White's books! I intend to remedy that! What a thrill-of-a-ride read from start to finish! That cozy opening scene that quickly turns to chaos and fear as Carly desperately attempts to save her charge from abduction makes for a chilling start to a relentlessly paced suspense. The pursuit never lets up and Carly's wary of trusting anyone -- especially a cop. But Brody's determined to be there for his niece in a way he wasn't for his brother. He's just as relentless as the bad guys but for all the right reasons. Plenty of twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat. Especially the appearance of an unexpected secondary character (who will hopefully be featured in a future book!) An unputdownable., addictive kind of read.

Carly Winslow, the nanny, is with her 7-month-old charge when she hears loud voices and gunshots coming through the baby monitor. She knows she has to escape the house with the baby, fast. She gets him and escapes via the deck outside of her bedroom...and then runs for the woods. She finds help from Brody (Whit) Whitaker, who is an off-duty policeman and the baby's uncle.

Very intense writing. If you have children, or you babysit, you can sense how the characters feel. Its how any of us in a scary situation would feel. What would you do to save a child ? It was awesome.

May have spoilers I doubt it though.

Kinda the same

I've now read two of the books in this series (The Baby Protectors) and they were kinda the same. Still, not a waste of time to read. Carly & Whitt, nanny & cop on the mend, team up to keep her charge & his niece safe from criminal elements.

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Nanny Witness, a Baby Protectors novel. I really enjoy Hope's books. This is an excellent example of her work. This story is well written, action packed, and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.

Carly Winslow is working as a nanny as she gets ready for nursing exam. The job is paying for her student loans and she loved this baby girl. Carly had a rough childhood and has no use for cops. When she hears gunshots down stairs she grabs the baby and leaves the house to go into the woods. On her way she calls 911. She falls down a ravine and a man shows up. He says he's the baby uncle. He's a cop, can she trust him?

Police officer Brody Wittaker is on medical leave after being injured. Would his shoulder ever be the same? He is estranged from his half brother but he's trying to change that. He feels like something is off so he show up at the house unannounced. He arrives to hear gun fire and sees a young woman and baby running into the woods. Not sure if his brother is alive he decides he must help the young woman and the baby. He finds her after she has fallen down an embankment. He takes over to keep them safe. What has his wayward brother got himself into.

A journey of two broken souls eaten away with guilt. Can they learn to forgive themselves, trust each other, and depend on God? God has a plan for these two; a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan on you too. Give Him your heart and watch Him turn your life around.

This book begins with a "bang" and the action doesn't let up during the entire book! It was a fantastic blend of great characters, edge-of-your-seat suspense and trying to figure out what was really going on. Carly Winslow is just a regular nanny for a darling baby, Mia. She hears gunshots through the baby monitor and escapes with baby Mia in tow out into the woods in the backyard. I admired Carly's character through the whole book. She put her life on the line for Mia time and again even though it wasn't her child. I would hope I'd do the same! As she is in the woods, she is chased by "the bad guys" but is suddenly helped out by "Whit", who claims to be the baby's uncle. Of course she is leery because she's never heard of him! However, with the bad guys closing in, she accepts his help and Carly & Whit begin an adventure that takes them all over the place trying to escape people who are trying to kidnap baby Mia. When the authorities eventually are contacted, they find out Mia's parents were abducted so everything is a race against time. I literally couldn't put this book down until I finished it and there were so many surprises! I definitely recommend it!

Nanny Witness by Hope White
I found this book to be very intriguing, As the story unrolls, we find Carly, nanny to a 7 mo old girl fighting to protect herself and Mia (the baby) after home intruders attack Mia’s parents. From the beginning it is clear that everything Carly does is clouded by her traumatic past. She has a very strong faith and puts her trust in God in all circumstances.
Carly’s past has left her very mistrusting of law enforcement so when her employer’s older brother Whit, who is a policeman, appears on the scene she isn’t sure she can trust him to keep her and the baby safe above all else. As Whit tries to untangle the mystery of his missing brother and sister in law, he also tries to untangle the mystery of Carly and her past. The two join forces to protect Mia against unknown persons who are trying to kidnap her. Both are willing to lay down their lives if necessary to keep Mia safe. Along the way they help each other to heal from their painful pasts and discover life and death secrets that enable them to solve the mystery around the missing couple. I really enjoyed this book. It had some unexpected twists that really kept me turning the pages.

I could not put this book down. Literally. As in Mom kept telling me to put it down but I didn't.
The book was full of action from the start, with gunshots echoing through the baby monitor within the first ten pages. It was an insane read. I also loved the characters, especially Carly. Even after having so much hardship throughout her life, she still pressed on and encouraged others. Her spirit and determination to protect others and serve God really inspired me. I loved this book and would recommend it to anyone who loves suspense, fast-paced stories, and happy endings. Loved it!

This is the first work I’ve read by Hope White and it sure won’t be the last. I really enjoyed this suspenseful novel about Carly, Mia’s very resourceful and loving nanny, and Whit a very dedicated uncle and policeman. I also liked the clean romance and happy ending.

This story starts out intense and keeps the suspense and intrigue going throughout. The nanny hears shots fired thru the baby monitor and takes off with the baby. The baby's uncle helps the nanny and you will have to read Carly and Whit's story to find out the rest!
