Placed on assignment by the FBI, Shamen is supposed remain undercover while gathering intelligence on Nick Jenson; one of Bankhead's most legendary hustlers. His relationship with two of the biggest Cartels Atlanta has ever seen is now on their radar, and with the possibility of killing two birds with one stone on the table, the Feds are anxious to move.
Familiar with undercover work, Shamen is used to the fast pace lifestyles of the hustlers she targets. With years of experience, Nick is supposed to be just another mark, but he isn't.
On day one, Shamen noticed the signs that she should turn the case down, but didn't...
After a random take over that could have claimed her life, Shamen is forced to conceal her identity and flee town with Nick.
While away, the couple get to know each other and after, yet another tragic event, a bond is formed.
Do you believe in love at first sight?
Shamen and Nick didn't either, until one day... it just clicked! All is fair in love and war, but can a relationship that was built on such a big lie survive?
A good beginning usually ends just as good and this book did not disappoint. A storyline that was constant throughout with twists and turns brought me such joy. Well written, great entertainment and a plot that wasn't expected made me give this book 5 stars.
Nick the obnoxious and loud drug dealer with a therapist Rohan as a road dog it couldn't get any better. While these two were like chalk and cheese the end game remained the same, loyalty. With Shamen the fed falling for Nick, I often wondered throughout the book if she really thought that it wouldn't play out like that. Looking forward for book 2, hoping it holds my attention like book 1 did. Would definitely recommend.
Held my attention from beginning to end and what a ending. I really enjoyed this book. The storyline and these characters made this a interesting read. Really liked Nick and Shamen together. Sure hope everything works out so they can be together. I feel Jacob is going to be a big problem. Also, it's more to the street war than we know and Nick is caught up in the middle. I think Rogan and Carmen are perfect for each other. After that ending I can't wait to see what happens next. Good job Ashley Marie.
Omg this was so good I can’t believe all that want on with them why did he killed hisself .lord have mercy I cannot to read the next part I known let with reading this but it was 🔥 🔥🔥🔥
This book kept my interest and I enjoyed reading it. I like the characters and definitely want to see what happens next. There was one part they yup had my mind blown 😳
I need the next book like yesterday this book was so good and it ended with a bang I can't wait to see what happens next cause it's heating up for real
I'm gonna write my review so I can start part 2. I like Nick, but Shamen is doing to much for me. I'm hoping they get out of this mess and soon. Great story.
