A link between German Dada in the 20s and 30s and Soviet idealist art, El Lissitzky was a fine example of revolutionary modernist aesthetic working in Constructivism and Suprematism from the birth pangs of the Russian Revolution until Stalin's rule. His influence can be felt in 20th century graphic design, Bauhaus, and propaganda. This collection contains letters, manifestos, photomontage posters, book illustrations, and of course wartime propaganda (Give us more tanks!) Didn't really care for his art but could definitely see his influence.
