Found in a rock quarry in Virginia, Chase is battered, bruised, and clinging to life. It takes the collective efforts of the few people she hasn't burned over the years to drag her back to the land of the living and make sure that she stays there. But their efforts aren't entirely altruistic. While Chase undoubtedly needs her friends, the FBI also needs her. They have two dead bodies on their hands, but these aren't your regular run-of-the-mill vics. Two prominent politicians are shot dead in broad daylight in Washington, D.C., the only clue being the presence of a low flying drone at both scenes. One thing is clear, however; there will be more deaths if the killer's demands aren't met. The only problem is, the FBI has no idea what the killer wants. Neither does the ATF nor the Secret Service. Which is why they need Chase and her special ability, her strange capacity to see through the eyes of the dead, in order to find out who's behind these murders before they strike again. But Chase isn't sure if she can handle going back into the field after what happened in Tennessee, let alone whether her talent will lead them anywhere.Or if she can keep her own demons at bay long enough to catch another killer before they strike again. Scroll up to order the thrilling fifth chapter in The Chase Adams FBI series, DIRTY MONEY today!
True story: I used to cut up bodies. No, not for fun, you sickos–for work. After reaching the age of majority and fleeing the clutches of an overprotective mother, I went to university like a good boy.
More than a decade later and an alphabet soup of letters after my name, I found myself looking down the double-chamber of a microscope at an eyeball. Feeling ironically introspective, I decided that it was time for a change.
After seventy plus novels and more than a million copies sold, I’ve found my true calling, one that also includes a plethora of letters. Hopefully you see something in my catalog that you like, something to feast your eyes on.
I also have two spooky podcasts that are appropriate for ALL ages, so long as you like to be scared: P.T. Logan's Five Minutes of Terror and Camp Fear. Both are FREE and available on all podcast platforms. For MATURE audiences, I've created two fiction podcasts, Nightmare Residue and Bad Priest.

The newest novel in the Chase Adams series, Dirty Money, is an outstanding addition to the previous four. Patrick Logan gives fans of the series hope for their favorite FBI agent, Chase Adams, after she finally hits rock bottom.
One of the best aspects of this novel is Logan’s ability to draw the reader in with dynamic, engaging characters. His characters are not only well-crafted, but develop incrementally with each book, making Dirty Money, one of the best yet. Subsequently, the narrative is given life with realistic dialogue intertwined with wit, dry humor, and raw emotion. The story is multifaceted and intriguing with several twists along the way. The reader is offered a detailed, gritty suspense novel but at the same time forced to recognize addiction and codependency issues from a altogether different socioeconomic platform than what is often stereotyped. Love this series. Great read. 5 stars.
Wow! Wow! Wow! Logan, you hit this one right out of the park!! I was a bit fearful to read it because Chase was such a destructive "hothead" in your prior books and I thought she was going to get killed off. Though I was not a huge fan of her, there was something that "nagged" at me - she was a damaged person with baggage overload and I knew you wouldn't let her character down. I won't share much more about her character because I might give things away.
It's impossible to offer anything else without "spoiler" alerts. This much I will say: the book is an edge of your seat thriller ten times over! If you thought book 4 was amazing, this will definitely blow your mind. I'm looking forward to see the evolving of Chase's and Stitt's characters because there definitely is some "sizzle" there.
I'm ashamed I haven't written a review before because I have gobbled up every book starting with Damien Drake, Chase and of course, Dr. Beckett including the .5's And I can't wait to find out how all the characters are doing(hope Jeremy stops smoking). While that's an innocuous review, do yourselves a favor and read these books. His characters have flaws (don't we all?). And that's the draw. They want the bad guys gone and all have their own special way to make it happen. Mr. Logan has made me care about the whole crew. I gotta say however, with all the serial killers, psychopaths, sociopaths etc., that Cassidy chick and the cover art seriously creeped me out. Please keep writing!!!!
A chance of idea and Chase seems to be moving forward
I have read all but 1 book in this series. I like the 3 main characters in this series of stories. Mr Logan has plenty of room to expand on agent Stitts and Assistant Floyd. I truly hope Chase has come to her end with the addition and stays in recovery. I would have to stop reading the series. It just too painful. He needs to keep that in mind too for his readers. They may have lost family members or have struggling family members. It can bring to much reality to mind when your trying to get away from life for a few hours.
While it was hard to see Chase at rock bottom you have to hit that bottom before you can start over. I like seeing her let others take the lead even when she doesn’t want to give in. She is still a work in progress but she is being more open to others than she has in the past.
I love how Floyd is in the picture and seeing Screech pop in too. I’m glad I went back and started reading the other series as it gives you insight to the people that care about Chase and those that are a part of her past.
This book took me by surprise and I sure didn’t see that kind of ending. It was fantastic. Looking forward to the next one!
This is my favourite so far. Where Chase ended up was heartbreaking but thank God for Stitts. What its doing to him though is also heartbreaking. Bringing in familiar characters from previous books and from Damien Drake's series was excellent. I loved Floyd from "Frozen Stiff" and having him back as a main character was the cherry on top. I actually liked Chase in this story. She'll always have a difficult road but I'm hoping that this was her absolute bottom and there's no where to go but up now. Regardless of her unconvential ways she does always get the job done. The concept in this story was a different one and interesting.
This was a great book, it was good to see Chase going forward in a good way, she’s just really had a awful life from an early age and she didn’t deal with it in a healthy way and who can blame her. This is the first review I’ve given on this series and I have to say it’s very different from other books. I highly recommend this book, this whole series and I can’t wait for the next Chase Adams book. Let me just say I hope one day soon her and Stitts will because a couple.
I think by making Chase a bit more normal and human you created a better character. I absolutely detested her in the earlier books. But giving her some redeeming qualities helped to make her just a bit more likeable. This has a good plot and was interesting to read.
The more I read from Patrick Logan, the more I want to read! Chase and Stitts are a great pair. I really enjoyed reading about Chase's experience with the drone and the goggles. The interactions between all of the government agencies seemed all too realistic. I was glad that Stitts finally revealed some emotion to Chase when he told her about his mother.
Now that I've read all of these books . Ill have to say I enjoyed every one of them and can't wait for the next one. Great books and would read them again .So if you like these kind of books these are a must read set
.The the author is one to keep up with and I plan on doing just that. Can't wait to find more books.
In Dirty Money, the fifth explosive installment of The Chase Adams FBI Series, Special Agent Chase Adams returns battered, broken, but far from beaten. From the first page, readers are thrown into a pulse pounding thriller where political intrigue, high stakes murder, and supernatural suspense collide in the heart of Washington, D.C.
This book is one you can't put down. Can't wait until the next one. Patrick Logan is finally making Chase a detective that she should be. I really like Floyd and I am glad he is going to school to become a FBI agent.
Thank you so much for the slight turn in dramatic behavior for Chase! Now she’s a little more like able.. I realize this could change in the future, but at least I don’t want to reach out and choke anyone 😂
I really enjoyed this book...must turn the nerd on in me. I admire Chase in a man's world with her sharp cutting responses. Looking forward to next book.
These books are so good. I really enjoy them. They are action packed and there’s a lot of twists and turns. I love Chase Adams and looking forward to her next adventure.
Another one that kept me reading waiting to see what new mess Chase would get into. I love that Floyd was brought back and hope for good things to come.
I liked this one best so far as Chase seems to have taken rehab seriously. She’s using things she learned in rehab to her advantage not just kick it to the curb!
