His Candy Cane

Rate this book
My first thought when I laid my eyes on him? He's still so gorgeous.
Second thought? I hate him. I want to ruin his Christmas.

My narcissistic billionaire ex was back in town.
Just in time for the holidays.
But his presence brought me anything but cheer.
My heart thumped hard when I saw him at the airport.
He was my first love and I used to trust him with my life.
I sure as hell was not about to make that same mistake twice.
Especially not as a cautious single mom.

I didn't care if his perfectly chiseled body made me drool.
Or if his strong hands knew exactly how to hold me in place.

But then his grasp around my waist tightened.
And his piercing eyes told me that he wanted a second chance.

I couldn't let myself give in.
Not now. Not ever.

Believe in the magic of Christmas!

This was one really great weekend. I enjoyed reading not one but two books by Summer Brooks. I couldn't put it down! They are about Lane brothers placed in this festive season. Perfect stories to put us into the festive mood. Both stories are romantic reads that I secretly hope to have a follow up

Sylvester and Sheila knew each other from age 10 and 11. She smoked cigarettes while he was a nerd. She bullied him over the years and he took it. They were neighbors whose parents struck up a great friendship. Sheila’s dad was a minister and Sly’s was a cop. Sly had a plan to make something of him after high school. When he came back from college, Sheila and he spent a summer together in every way. Then he left dropping her and everything they had. Years later, he is a billionaire who worked and drank too much. He was also a complete asshole! He decides to go home for Christmas and sees Sheila at the airport with a flat tire. She had just dropped her son off to her ex-husband. He fixes her flat and she is still a mean snippy woman. She ends up dropping him off sans his luggage after he made a snarky comment.
He ends up walking home and his dad suggests he go see her and apologize. Well, they end up hooking up again. That is where the real fun starts! This story is quite steamy, full of snark, and had me LOL!!! This is a story that will endear its characters to you, make you laugh, and cry at the same time. I LOVED the characters, fresh perspective and originality of the story and you will also! Now onto story two of Sly’s brother Gordon.
Story 2 – Gordon and Emma
Gordon was a pro football player who finally seized his chance to become well known. Emma is Gordon’s best friend’s Roger little sister. Roger is going to retire from football and Gordon will take over the team. Gordon and Emma had hooked up a while back. Roger did not know that and asked them both to stay away from one another. Around the holidays, Emma and Gordon hooked up again but she decided it could not happen again. Roger and his wife Vivian were having a Christmas Treasure Hunt Party. Gordon decided to bring a plus one to hurt Emma. Roger put the three plus another man on the same team to discover five ornaments to win. Each ornament is one Emma and Roger’s dad made with a special meaning. Some wild things occur during the time they search for the ornaments. Will they win the game? Will they hook up again? Will Roger allow them if he finds out? Come read Gordon and Emma’s steam story! I received this book via Booksprout and am leaving a voluntary review!

HIS CANDY CANE is a duet of stories about two brothers and the women who capture their hearts. The stories are deftly written, funny and very steamy. The guys are alpha males with big egos and bank accounts. The women are strong-willed, sassy, sexy and just what the guys need in their lives. Sylvester (Sly) and Shiela were friends/enemies as teenagers then young lovers. He broke her heart when he left to pursue his ambitions. She held out hope that he would one day return for her as he had promised. Fifteen years later, he is a billionaire playboy with a drinking problem, home to visit his parents for the holidays. She is a divorced single mom struggling to take care of her father, and to make ends meet. Their reunion is volatile and snarky. But temper and distaste soon turn into steamy encounters and soul searching. Do they want a future together? Can they make a relationship work and have the happily ever after she had dreamed about?
Gordon is a hunky pro football player, with emphasis on the player part. Emma is the younger sister of his mentor and fellow team member. They have dated in the past, but Big Brother has declared that to be off limits. That does not stop the attraction that sizzles between them when they are thrown together, ironically by their relationships with her brother. One night, after a few drinks and personal revelations, things turn very steamy and intimate. Can they have a future together? Will Big Brother let their relationship play out or will he force them apart?

Shelia and Sly have know each other since the were kids. They went from kids picking at each other to teenagers dating. However went graduation came Sly left Shelia behind for college and not be tied down. Shelia stayed behind and continued with her life. Now years later Sly is back and Shelia gives him a ride after he fixes her flat tire but the ride is cut short when he starts talking down to her. Gordon is Sly's brother and is a big football player and is finally going to get the chance to come off the bench when some friends are retiring. He goes home with a friend and meets his little sister Emma. They hook up a couple times before he leaves and don't see each other again until he comes back for the holiday. Emma doesn't want to be another hook up but it hurts to see Gordon with someone else. Her brother invites another guest to set his sister up with. When they start a Christmas game sparks start to fly. Will Gordon and Emma get back together? What will her brother say about it?

Sly’s family moved into Sheila’s neighborhood when they were kids. Sly was a nerd and Sheila was a “bully” with a snarky personality even as a grown-up. Sly decided to come home for Christmas and Sheila was dropping her son at the airport to travel to her ex’s house for the holiday, but she got a flat tire along the way. Since Sly had not arranged a ride home from the airport, he changed her tire for her and she gave him a ride. But as if the years had melted away, on the way home, they have an argument because of something he said and she threw him out of her car to walk the rest of the way. This is just the beginning … you’ll love the rest of the battle, um, Christmas story!

The second book is about Gordon and his best friend’s sister, Emma. Gordon is a football player. He and Emma meet at a party and the two lonely people are brought together. You’ll love the emotional rollercoaster as their story unfolds.

I enjoyed these two stories. They were well-written and I liked the characters, even with Sheila’s biting snarkiness. The story lines were good and kept the reader engaged. Grab your copy and enjoy these two stories!

I was pleasantly surprised to find two stories in one! I enjoyed both stories, although I felt that there were some loose ends, that kinda leaves you guessing. (Like what happened with her son Aiden, he went to visit his dad, the father changed the date of returning him, Shelia's not happy about it, but that's it and it's never mentioned again, nor is her son after that - weird, and not real life). However, the stories are heartwarming and happily ever after's and I enjoyed the book! Perhaps we'll hear more from Sly, Shelia, and Aiden? (Hint)

I received this book as a gift of an advance read and I would like to give an honest opinion of what I read.

This is really two stories in one book. The stories are about two brothers that have found success in their lives but even with all of their wealth and fame there was something missing in their lives that they either couldn’t put a finger on what it was until it was right in front of them or had someone keeping them from the one they love but are in denial of. The only complaint that I have about both stories is that it seems to leave the ending a little bit up in the air. More so the first story about Sylvester Lane and Shelia Myers.

Both of the two had grown up together sort of. Sheila had moved to the town when she was 10 years old. She was a bully at the time, or just angry and she took it out on Sly who was your classic nerd. As they grow up he went off to college. As children they had a love hate relationship, the summer he came home before starting a paid internship with the Fortune 500 and moving to New York. He and Sheila had a summer fling. She thought that it was real to him as it was to her. She had fallen hard for him. However he lied to her making a promise that he didn’t intend to keep. He promised he would not forget her and would come back for her. He didn’t. Oh he came back years later for Christmas with his folks but he made no attempt in contacting her. In his now self absorbed mind she was everything that he hated about the town. Now he was a billionaire was arrogant, and rude, he didn’t care about anyone but himself. He had been on a drunken binge when he finally arrived in Indiana to go to his parents to spend a couple of weeks with them. Sheila was at the air port as well. She was dropping off her six year old son Aiden with his father to spend Christmas with him. It was the first time that her son had been away from her and she worried. Walter had been an officer on the police force of their town and of course the town sided with him in their nasty divorce even though it was Walter that had cheated on her with a younger woman. Aden didn’t want to go with Walter but there was really no choice in the matter and Sheila was doing her best trying to keep it together for her son.

As she got outside to her car she noticed that she had a flat tire. Then she noticed a man that was frantically trying to wave down a taxi. It didn’t take her long to recognize Sly. Sly’s father had forgotten that he was flying in and was not there at the airport to pick him up. Once Sheila had found him she offered him a ride if he would help her fix her flat tire. He did so grudgingly and once he got into her old car he continued to rube in her face all of the success that he had accomplished since he had left their town. He took every opportunity to insult her. Finally having enough of him she tossed him out of her car just a block or two from his parents house. Getting home she found her father in yet another one of his confused states. He had onset dementia and she had her hands full taking care of him and Aiden but her life was full and she loved both of them. She worked at the local grocery store trying to make ends meet but it was hard with the town so against her. Even her boss Morgan another on that she had grown up with made her life as hard as could be. Walter was now trying to take her son away from her. It wasn’t until Sly saw just what Sheila reconnected with her in a way that he had forgotten. Then he saw what she was up against with the towns people; and trying to take care of her father that he finally found his heart again. The ending left me with some unanswered questions but other than that it was a good story.

The second story was much better it was about his brother Gordon that had become a very successful quarter back and was heading for the play offs. Since his break up with he fiancee several years back Gordon had become a womanizer. However there was one woman that he had respect for and admiration and that was the sister of his best friend Roger who also played on the team. Roger was seven years older that Gordon and took him under his wing when he came into the team. They were close friends but Roger didn’t want Gordon messing with his sister Emma.

Emma had a mind of her own though she knew how Roger felt about her and Gordon she had respected his opinion even though she had a strong attraction for Gordon. It wasn’t until Christmas that things were starting to come together. Roger had planned a huge party with a treasure hunt. The only way that he could think of getting Emma involved with it was hiding around his estate some of the only things that were left from their parent that had passed so very long ago and that was Christmas ornaments that his father had whittled each year. Some of the memories were hard on Emma but so was the fact that she was having to deal with her feelings for Gordon. How in the world were they ever going to work things out. That is one question that can only be answered by reading the book.

I received an ARC and am voluntarily reviewing this book. I received this book as His Candy Cane and didn't realize that is was two different stories, it has been renamed Brother's Best Friend: A Two-Book Collection. These are Christmas stories featuring a pair of brothers.
The first is Sly and Sheila - Having known each other since childhood, the tough girl and the nerd, spent the summer Sly graduated from college as lovers, then he , for all intents as purposes, disappeared. Now an hard working, hard drinking billionaire, Sly has made his annual Christmas pilgrimage home and runs into Sheila at the airport. Sheila is an unhappy, divorced cashier, caretaker and mother. After a less than auspicious reunion Sly and Sheila reignite their relationship, but she has a reputation as a shrew and has been upset with Sly for all the years since he disappeared all those years ago. Can these two maintain this relationship. This story ends abruptly with the arrival of Sly's brother Gordon.
Gordon and Emma - Gordon was a second string football player that received his big break and has never looked back. Roger, his best friend, has always had his back and has only had one request, for Gordon to stay away from his kid sister, Emma. Roger and Emma had a rough childhood, no real description provided (unless at least part of this is the tragic death of their parents). Emma has always been attracted to Gordon but has agreed to her brother's request. Gordon, after his rise to success, broke with his fiancée (after she made a play for his brother Sly) and has slept around ever since. Although he is attracted to Emma, he too has agreed to Roger's request. But, one night, just before Christmas, Roger and his fiancée, Vivian requested that Gordon and Emma agree to be the godparents of their so to be conceived baby and that they both attend their Christmas party. Unable to sleep that night, Gordon and Emma end up together in a conversation, that leads to the bedroom. After the fact, Emma says it was a mistake and that it can't happen again. Gordon, lashes out by sleeping with a model, who it invites to the Christmas party. Roger bribed Emma to attend the Christmas party by promising to give her some mementos of their childhood. The mementos are Christmas ornaments, handmade by their father, to be returned via a treasure hunt. During the treasure hunt, Gordon and Emma reconnect and profess their love for one another. Roger, his suspicions aroused, confronts Emma with his take on Gordon's relationship with his ex, and warns her off. Gordon, hiding in the closet, hears all this and asks to tell his side. Emma believes him and the two agree to confront her brother with their love and the party's conclusion.
Presuming these two stories happen the same Christmas, did Gordon take Emma home with him?

Seriously, what can you possibly say about Ms Brooks that hasn't already been said? It's as though everything this woman touches turns to pure gold. She is a superior author as well as a true gift to the romance world everywhere. Ms. Brooks definitely sets the bar high continually for other authors. His Candy Cane is a two book romance collection for romance reader's, like myself, to enjoy. They are each full stories that come complete with their own happily ever after for both books. What's more, is that they have a wonderfully written storylines and the realistic characters to match to keep you riveted to each and every page. From cover to cover, you can fall in love with both main sets of characters all while rooting for them throughout their journey. While you know it's fiction, you just can't help but continue on, while devouring each and every page as fast as you can, because these stories are just that well crafted. It is hard because you can't wait for their HEA and yet, at the same time, you don't want their journey to end. My only recommendation to you would be to pick up another well written romance by Ms. Brooks to pass the time. I promise, you will never be disappointed and will always be coming back for more, just like I do. The truth is she is just that good.

I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of His Candy Cane in exchange for my honest/voluntarily given opinion and I couldn't recommend this book or her work more. Another Wonderful Release Right Here.

His Candy Cane - a review by Rosemary Kenny

A pair of sweet stories of second-time-around and forbidden love are expertly told by the Queen of Romance, Summer Brooks in her book His Candy Cane.

The first novella is about Sheila and Sylvester (Sly) Lane. Next-door neighbors from a young age, their puppy love developed sweetly over time into an intense relationship, only marred when the latter left for college, leaving Sheila bereft until a rebound marriage and the birth of a son, followed by a divorce brought its own kind of pain. What happens after a chance encounter at the airport gives the pair an unexpected chance of a HEA neither had looked for?

The second tale in the book concerns another pair of once familiar, then parted by circumstances lovers, Gordon and Emma. Football pro Gordon has been team-mate Roger's best friend for a long time, during which he and Roger's younger sister Emma got to know one another as friends and then more - until vetoed by Roger. Years later Gordon has returned to play for the same team Roger has just retired from. Still forbidden to have a relationship by Roger, what action will Emma and Gordon take during a Christmas party held by Roger and his wife and family, to which Gordon has brought another woman as his 'plus-one'?

An intriguing duo of Festive Delights, His Candy Cane will bring warmth and joy to your tender heart as love finds a way, no matter what. Get your copy today!

His Candy Cane is a two book collection.
We meet the Lane brothers. In the girst book we meet Sylvester a self made billionaire and in the second book we get to know Gordon a Nfl quaterback. Both brothers are arrogant and playboys but when their hearts go out to the women they love they turn into a man every girl dreams off a loving and passionate man that only sees the woman he loves.

Sylvester and Sheila have hated each other since the day they met as kids. When Sylvester left for college and came back on a break their relationship changed that summer and Sly made promises to Sheila when he was returning to college......... promises he knew he wouldn't keepkeep.
Fast forward 15 years and you have an arrogant narcissistic billionaire that walks and talks his way over everyone to get to the top, that is until a angry divorcee and childhood enemy, wont take his bs and puts him in his place time and time again.

Everyone thinks of Gordon the future star quarterback as the man that had his heart broken by his cheating fiancee, a touchy subject that had Gordons fist in a reporter's face....a few times.
Gordon has always had a thing for his best friend's sister but has been warned off, but how can you stay away from the woman that makes your heart soar when you see her and you just know she is the one.

Summer has done it again!!! She has a gift with weaving her stories together and drawing you in so you're part of the story not just reading about it. This time we get two stories for one, both reclaiming the loves of their lives for the Lane brothers, Sly and Gordon. Like in life, the path to true love is never simple or easy but hopefully the struggle is well worth the end result. Panties melting, steamy sex scenes for the 18+ audience, HEA, woven all together with a hefty dose of Christmas magic that even pulled at this non-believer's heartstrings and almost has me believing in the magic of the season. If you are looking for a feel good dose of Alpha male "I'm going to get the girl that I let slip through my fingers back any way I can" reclaimed first love with the help of the magic of the season, beautiful settings and families pulling together then these are definitely for you. 100% recommend for you or gift to someone you love who needs a feel good story with a pinch of steam to appeal to the hottie in all of us. Wish I could use more than 5 stars 'cause I sure would for this treat that will satisfy more than your average sweet tooth! Ho Ho Ho! I received an ARC and I am voluntarily reviewing this book.

These two stories take place at Christmas and deal with two brothers. The first story is about Sylvester(Sly) and Sheila. These two have known each other since the were ten and eleven. She was the troublemaker and he was the nerd. When they got older Sly ended up breaking Sheila’s heart. Now years later he is home and he bumps into Sheila. This could be the second chance he needs and realizes he wants. The second story is about Gordon, Sylvester’s brother, and Emma. Gordon is a pro football player and best friends with Emma’s brother. Emma has had a crush on Gordon, but knows about his playboy ways. They had started somewhat of a relationship, but once her brother noticed, he talked to them separately and they have stayed away from each other since the. They still like each other and one things turns to another. Will it be one night or will it become more? These are both stories about second chances. These were great stories with great characters. There will be some drama as well as some sexy scenes.

Awful

Doesn’t even deserve one star. Horrible writing, no editing, things that don’t make sense like ages that keep changing. Hero and heroine have sec, she gets nervous about her brother being upset so she pushes him away. THE NEXT DAY he goes on a 3
Day screwfest with a model, graphic details about how hardcore their rendezvous was. On the third day he shows up to a holiday with this same woman. He literally screwed her that day (patently without a condom because he mentioned a oldie that led to a stop for plan B) he and heroine hook up during the part.... so gross. It didn’t even mention him showering in between. And the “heroine” doesn’t ask any questions about the chick he had immediately ran to. He professes his love this same day, disputes still having his date their waiting on him. Right... nowhere in the history of the world has a (normal) woman has something like that happen and not even asked a question. This is the absolute worst thing I have read in a long long time on KU. It was free and I feel ripped off... Save yourself.

Fifteen years ago he lied when he said he would be back of her. Now he is back, but for what?

I regret to say it, but I could not stand this book. The "hero" is an absolute tool and he had no redeeming qualities in my opinion. Usually I can see where our bad boy should be given a second chance, where he might have some regret over his past and now he realizes he needs to make amends. Well, I was so turned off by our male lead that I felt he deserved his current state and should leave our decent and loving heroine alone.

Based on the above, one might expect me to give a lower rating than I did, but others might still enjoy this story. The writing is, as usual for our author, very good. She obviously did a good job of characterizing her lead. Unfortunately, the character she built just pushes all the wrong buttons with me.

I can only recommend this book if you have far more patience (and forgiveness) than I do.

Sly, a nerd who lived next door to Shelia, a “bully” all her life, accidentally meet at the airport, after Shelia drops of her son to her EX for Christmas. She finds herself with a flat tire, Sly finds he has no ride home for Christmas. He changes her tire but on their way home, they get into an argument. Shelia opens the door and tells him to walk home. Shelia is snarky as ever and Sly, being a billionaire now, can’t believe she made him walk. He is still arrogant and very independent. The book is very steamy, quite emotional, and uniquely original.

The second part of the book is about Sly’s brother, Gordon, and Gordon’s best friend’s sister, Emma. Gordon gets to prove his worth to his NFL team. At a Christmas Party, both Gordon and Emma meet. Both their lives change forever. This is another steamy story and emotional for all the characters. Both excellent readings!

Wow – I loved that this book included two brothers and their love stories. The first story is about a Sheila and Sly, and their love/hate for each other (more love than hate). The one thing I love about this author is that she brings in real life issues to her stories. Sheila and Sly story involves the dealing of family loss, divorce and dementia, which at the end has a happily ever after although a bit rushed.

At the end of the first book Gordon comes into play (very minimum), but then it jumps into the second book which is all about Gordon and Emma. The second book is more in line with sister of best friend to be off limits, but the attraction is there that is unstoppable. Both stories start with the bad boy billionaire/millionaire and strong-headed women who does not take much of anything from anyone.

This is 2 stories about 2 different couples.
First you have Sheila and Sly. It starts 25 years ago when they were teens. Sheila was a tyrant, an outcast, and overall a difficult student. Sly was your typical nerd and a clever student. He was driven to better himself and get out of Fallset, Indiana. The story progresses throughout their lives, when they meet again at Christmas time when Sly comes home. Can they get to know the real people they are now or do they dwell in the past?
The second story is about Gordon and Emma. He's a star quarterback, rich, and Emma's brother's best friend. Emma is from a poor family, doesn't really enjoy Christmas, because all she had were crappy memories of Christmas growing up.
Can Emma get past the bad memories of Christmas past and have a life with Gordon?

Loved that there were 2 full stories that had an element that tied them together but were completely stand a lone. The first is a story about billionaire Sly come home grudgingly to meet up with once bully, then lover hard on her luck Sheila. Past emotions collide with the present for a HEA - although there were some loose stands in Sheila's story I thought could have been tied up a bit better. The second story is about playboy athlete Gordon (Sly's brother) who falls for bff and co-athlete's sister Emma. Both were warned away from each other but are unable to keep from coming together. Again - could have been more in-depth in places and less so in others but overall I think this is a great Christmas romance about the Lane Brothers!

HORRIBLE-Don’t waste your time!

As the description mentions, there are 2-stories in this book. The first one was so horrendous I didn’t dare read the second book. Understand, I wanted to like it. Loved the thought of the good girl ending up with the NFL bad boy/player. Even like the idea of him falling for her even though she’s a little curves. However, there was too much I couldn’t move past. Telling her he loved her after spending 3-days (and bragging about it) with another woman to include that morning. Heck, he was on a date with said woman; blonde haired model, when he fell into bed with her again and told her he only wanted her...just too much for me. There was other stuff in the book that was just a big fat NO. Obviously I did not like this book, even a little, and do not recommend it to others.

I really enjoyed reading these two stories, each with their own leading men, trying to hide their feelings for that special someone by being the worst version of themselves. Both very successful in their jobs but when it comes to love, deep down, they think they don’t deserve it so they go through women like candy.
All it takes is that one special someone, for Sly it’s a trip back to his hometown and bumping into a childhood friend/bully that he has always had a thing for;and for Gordon it’s his mentor and best friend’s little sister, whom he’s always been around and attracted to but was told to stay away from.
When these men finally decide to try something new love is able to break down their walls and some pretty amazing things happen.

ONE DELIGHTFUL EXPERIENCE!!!
OMG! Talk about not wanting an ending. I loved these little guys. You can't help but fall in love with them. This is one exciting, heart pounding, pulse racing, smooth flowing, page turning bombshell that grabs your attention from the start. You can't go wrong with this little boxset. The storylines are sharp and engaging. The twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few unexpected circumstances and unpredictable surprises around every corner make for one enjoyable experience. The characters and scenes are written with such realism it really pulls this bad boy together beautifully. Summer did an incredible job bringing this read to life. Thanks Summer for pulling these cute little guys together for us.

The chemistry ans the sexiness between Sly and Sheila was undeniable ! They were a bit hard to understand; at first, but it got better as the story unfolded; a real rollor coaster of emotions and lots of drama that couple went through lollllllllllll
The second couple was a bit less traumatic, and a bit sexier than the first.
I think that the book ended a bit too abuptly, I was left with wanting more ;)
I found that that book had a different style than what I usually read from Miss Summer; which is not a bad thing !!

I really loved these 2 books they are filled with super sweet Christmas treats, 2 brothers 2 very different lives. Sly is first and he has a second chance with the girl next door if Sly doesn't mess it up again. This is a very satisfying read with a lovely finish. Gordon and Emma have wanted to have a relationship but her brother has forbidden his best friend and sister from dating. Can Emma and Gordon find a way at Christmas to get their wish? A sweet read about grabbing what you want. The ending is a little incomplete for me but a sweet read regardless.

Great two steamy love stories with lot of passion

Being successful, famous and reach should give you all the fells, right? Why then some people are suddenly felling lonely and there is no joy and peace in their lives? Like maybe there is something missing? Lane brothers have it all. So why suddenly they are waiting for Christmas miracle? Is there magic of the Christmas waiting for them? You need to read this two great stories to find out what is in the store for those naughty boys. I will only say that the heroines are not so innocent themselves and the chemistry between main characters and level of hotness is of off the charts.

Sly left Sheila to build his empire. He was wealthy but filled with emptiness. He returned to his hometown for the holidays and they had a shaky reunion. Sheila has to decide if she is willing to allow him back into her heart.
The second novel revolves around Sly’s younger brother Gordon. Tells the tale of how he dealt with fame of being in the spotlight. Also how trauma of past relationship affected him. Emma had loved him but they remained separated due to others interference. Their love and passion heal each other.

A well written great holiday book with two stories that had me engaged from the first page till the last. This are both very entertaining about two brothers and their second chances with the ones they love. It includes their past love and mistakes and how their given second chances. They are steamy, full of snark, emotional, have angst and almost uniquely original on this wonderful rollerscoaster as each story unfolds. Great strong characters that are quite romantic and include wonderful sexy scenes. Another great book from an amazing author.

Two great books, I enjoyed reading both stories, seeing how the characters built their relationships. both brothers are very wealthy and successful in their own rights. Both have issues they have to overcome in order to understand that their happiness is with the right woman.

I was disappointed in both books, the author did end the books quite abruptly, I would have preferred to see a better ending to the books.
