Hard cover edition. An ideal gift for someone interested in mystery, archaeology, astronomy, aliens, and so on. This book details the search for ancient knowledge and reveals things not previously known to science or religion, proving it with mathematics.
George Curtis is a senior citizen and life-long researcher into history, archaeology, religion, astronomy, etc. Discoveries in these subjects changed his outlook on life, God, and the world of humanity.
As I was reading this book, I wondered how many people it would reach & if others had read it. I am encouraged by the amount of people here who have. Whether you accept any of its content or not, I am glad that people are taking the time to read alternative options that make you reconsider the mainstream... I loved the path that it took you on, the evidence to back it & in a way that you understood it. So much so, you can actually provide the instructions to someone else to check if you are discussing the subject matter. It seemed to me to provide a point of compromise between Christian believers & those with a scientific bent. If only life could follow & maybe that is one of the signs.... I read many books & its only a few that I bring into conversation with friends & this was one. Thoroughly enjoyed it & felt it was thought provoking
Fantastic read, the math is overwhelming but the author puts together a reasonable explanation for his argument. As someone with a formal education in the Bible I found that he put the story together as I had suspected it may have occurred for most of my life. However, if the story is true what then is a person to do?
Mr Curtis did a wonderful job of exposing and defining information that is outside the realm of science and religion. I couldn't put this book down. I am presently unemployed but found that reading this book and absorbing the shocking and proven information was far more important than looking for a job. He spoke of astronomy and several other areas of science and was able to create and explain a much bigger picture of who we are and where we come from in such an intelligent manner that would make Sherlock Holmes seem like a mere third grader in his logical approach. I am so sorry that I am not more articulate to explain more deeply the significance of what was written by this wonderful man. An open mind is necessary and with that you will go for a trip that is way beyond you wildest expectations. I have never read a more compelling narrative that has impacted my perception of our world, it's history and it's future. If you have a scientific background please don't be so easy to dismiss what is being said here. Set aside your personal belief system if it falls contrary to what is written here and just go for the ride and really really absorb the weight of what Mr. Curtis is trying to explain here. I love studying astronomy and physics. I always felt there was a far greater intelligent force at work where not being a true scientist myself could clearly see and know in my gut that that force was in control of things that just couldn't be explained in any other way except now Mr. Curtis has named that force. Thank you sir for exposing the treasures as you said you would and in an ever so eloquent style. Please let this not be the end of your writing career.
WOW! This is one of the best books I've ever read! It brings life and understanding to the book of Genesis. I fully believe what the author has written and the fact that it is backed by mathematical proof. I've always believed there is a greater power in our universe but I've never quite looked at it in this way. Looking back on monumental events such as the demise of dinosaurs and the great flood of Noah's time, I have pondered that "God" must have "messed up" and needed to "fix" those things and that's why those events occurred. I'd highly recommend reading this book, no matter your thoughts on the creation of life. I'm glad I stumbled across it by chance, it was time very well spent. I believe Mr. Curtis could decipher Revelations, too. Great read.
Just get to the point George! How many times must you tell the dear Reader you will do the math in the next chapter? Good idea, interesting concept, too bad it dies in its cradle.
For me, this book provides another puzzle piece into what we humans call Earth. If one is not expanded in their own conscious awareness the theory presented may very well assist an expansion or “blow a fuse”, as the book in its most reductionist point is designed to stretched the human mind.
I also feel this book eloquently dovetails into the work by Dolores Cannon, in particular “Keepers of the Garden”, albeit from another point of view, or angle if you like.
I can’t help but feel that there is a deliberateness in the way humans are receiving information that expands their consciousness, the question to me is who is sending or providing that information?
This book is for people with an open mind and to some extent an eye for mathematics and astronomy but that is no essential.
This really opens a can a worms when it comes to the past and the significance of Stonehenge, the relations to Genisis (Noah and Moses) in the bible. However, this book is not about religion but the logic behind some of the text and how it relates to our (known) past.
There is quite a bit of waffle and repetition but understandably so as it is alot to take in. Once you get past these parts you'll find that this is a mind blowing type of read.
Back in 1968, a book was published called "Chariots of the Gods?" It was written by a man named Erick von Daniken, who was not and has never been a scientist, and, indeed, had been imprisoned for fraud and embezzlement in Switzerland. His book, claiming that archaelogical evidence proves that aliens from another world visited man in the time before the earliest known civilizations existed, became an instant success, and began an era of what is now known as Ancient Astronaut Theory. This is a movement that has become almost a cult in its beliefs and stated precepts, and, though its adherents claim that they believe only in what is proven by scientific method, their views of archeology, anthropology, and history are not supported by mainstream scientists. I included this book in my reading because of my interest in different religious movements, and, as stated, the Ancient Astronaut Theory (AAT) movement has become almost a religion in its beliefs, precepts, and insistence on absolute adherence to its tenets by its followers. This book falls into the library of that belief system. There is little or no information about the author except what he himself has put out. He states that he is retired, and has been doing research in the areas of history, archaeology, religion, and astronomy for his entire life. There is no mention of any degrees or what his profession was. The book itself contains references to mathematical concepts that, while I am not a mathematician, and thus not in a position where I can prove or disprove his statements, do seem to indicate that the author is at least versed in the area. What he ends up claiming is that there was considerable scientific knowledge known in ancient civilizations that was far beyond what has been believed to be possible by mainstream scientists. Since it is still believed, even by the followers of AAT, that the people living in the times of early civilization would never have been able to have discovered this knowledge on their own, the only explanation, according to the beliefs of AAT, is that they were taught these concepts by visitors from outer space. I will not attempt to go into any of the technical details that the author does, however I will say that anyone reading this book should be willing to go through it slowly, and have at least an understanding of astronomical equations. For all of this, I found the book to be eminently readable. The author writes as though he were having a casual conversation with a guest sitting in his living room. He tells the story of his encounter with a couple of missionaries from a nearby church that started him thinking along the lines that resulted in this book (something that the ladies involved would probably be horrified to learn), and leads the reader through his thought processes. I was impressed in particular with his obvious knowledge of the Holy Bible, as he often quotes biblical passages as the catalyst for his thoughts and beliefs. This is definitely an author who has done his research, and has come to his own conclusions without any outside influence. That his conclusions may be questionable are probably the result of preconceived beliefs before his research began, or an overactive imagination, coupled with a stern determination not to give any credence to the supernatural. While I have difficulties with AAT as a whole, there are aspects of it that I find fascinating. This book is an excellent introduction into an alternate view of world history, and will make anyone think twice about what they have been taught on the subject of the early civilizations of mankind.
I loved the new ideas put forth. Some I found small errors with. From my travels I am aware that non herd mentality is not tolerated by most. This book is definitely Yuri, not in the traditions or the herd. He has a point. I will never read the Bible the same way again. There are many meanings within meanings within other meanings. Great job.
Danger, red pill! Prepare for a change in beliefs and worldview.
Reading this book can blow your mind and provide much to contemplate long after you are finished. Written in a highly engaging style, this treasure hunt for ancient knowledge delivers. The mathematical proof is there. I'm still not sure what conclusions to draw for myself, but enjoyed looking at the implications suggested by the author.
Reminds me of Dan browns da Vinci code where he took facts and made his on narratives from his logic. His logic is sound and uses math to prove his theory. He's not a bible thumper and was able to conclude that the bible does list facts but we interpret it wrong. Great read exciting and not boring. I wanted to know note and more
Very revealing and compelling. Will make one think about what was taught in Church and School. This has really opened my eyes and confirmed a lot of what I already believed.
there is a lot of math in this book. so if you are a dummy, give yourself time to read it, and don't fret if you don't understand. it all comes together in the end!
Loved this book! Fortunately, I have a decent mathematical background, so I was able to follow the mathematical work all the way through. I'm glad I've stumbled across this book, interestingly not long after I had asked God to guide me towards "the truth of everything", so this book reinforces my gut feeling that I am still on the right track; I think He/They listened, but I know there's still a long way to go.
I think Curtis found yet another aspect of the overall connection among the planets. We can find a linear relationship for all 9 planets by using Kepler's Third Law, i.e. (T^2 / R^3 = constant) as well. However, what Curtis does differently is to point out the connection between the inner & outer parts of the solar system, without the aid of any physical formulas; his findings simply come from a geometrical analysis of Stonehenge. But notice how 'squares' and 'cubes' are involved in Curtis's equation, just like the Kepler one ... hmm, so I find it all the more valid. Curtis also hints at the existence of a 10th planet ('Planet X') by extrapolation from his graph, something that you can't do with Kepler. Not sure if this would be the mythical planet Nibiru, or just some other planet that would explain the irregularities in Pluto's orbit that I've heard about. If I'm not mistaken, using the theoretical estimate of this 10th planet's orbit from Curtis's equation, and then applying Kepler's law to it, the orbital period would work out to ~ 450 years ... hmm.
This book will definitely blow your mind and shake things up within your belief system if you have been buying everything that has been traditionally taught so far. And that's a good thing, trust me, keeping an open mind on this shows how serious you are in finding the truth.
I will never view the Bible the same way again; I have a lot more respect for it now, thanks to this author. And I will definitely visit Stonehenge someday, it's in my bucket list, especially now that I know it could potentially have been Babel. It contains way too much intelligent information, astronomical and otherwise, to be considered "primitive", so it definitely had to come from a very advanced civilization that, for some reason (deluge?), were living under reduced circumstances. Whether this is the original "Tower" of Babel, or maybe a copy of it (think of all the other ancient structures around the globe), we don't know for sure, but the author is surely onto something.
As for the Elohim, it makes a lot of sense to me ... the notion of them is consistent with the way the Bible repeatedly refers to "god", with the possibility of them not being completely perfect, with UFO sightings, etc. Curtis doesn't mean to imply that they are the ultimate god; he actually suggests that there may be a greater, omnipotent "Supreme Being", so there may well be a spiritual element in our universe after all.
All in all, this book provides lots of food for thought -- no need to ridicule it if you don't agree, just move on with your life -- and, at least in my case, gives you something to look up to, gives you hope that there is a greater power that will someday (very soon, hopefully) defeat all the evils in this world which is becoming ever more infested with corrupt, ignorant human beings rising to the top.
I will start off by stating that one must have an open mind to accept and follow the author on the journey of his belief that Stonehenge was the Tower of Babel identified in the Holy Bible. I am the type of person who is open and believes in the right of an individual to state their case and beliefs regardless of what the topic is. And despite what I believe, I still found this book absolutely fascinating. The author’s convictions are evident in his passion to lay out his argument and also a legitimate amount of mathematical evidence to support his claim. I can’t help but wonder what is really out there knowing how our planet is but a grain of sand in the vast expanse of an ever-expanding universe, so the possibilities are certainly there to at least some degree no matter how small they may be. I believe that allowing ourselves to question, study, and explore to find answers to these questions is at the minimum the willingness to embark on a fascinating journey and on that I sincerely appreciate the author’s time, energy, and effort to put his findings and observations together. Well done, sir.
Very Interesting Proposal of an Artificially Structured Solar System
George Curtis has created a detailed, nonfiction theory that the Solar System has been ordered according to a mathematical formula, unrelated to traditional planetary mechanics theories.
I found myself in partial agreement with Curtis's hypothesis. Although I disagree with some of his statements, such as one that scientists don't believe that a deluge happened. (I understand Graham Hancock's theory that the sudden end of the last Ice Age raised sea levels by more than 300 feet, which explains the world-wide deluge legends). I disagree with the Curtis theory that Noah was still surviving when the "tower of Nabel" was built.
I think that Curtis's might have bolstered his argument that the Jewish Bible contains a record of an advanced understanding of science by reviewing other ecamples...but I understand that he wishes to focus on one theory. I do agree with much of his mathematical conclusions, and with his over-all hypothesis.
In his book Ancient Knowledge, George Curtis provides us with a very interesting argument concerning the development of mankind. It was particularly interesting that he used the bible to first make certain claims, and then back them up with science. I was not expecting his level of mathematical expertise, but found it very refreshing that he had a good understanding of the subject. At first I didn't care for his style of writing and found it difficult to follow. But about halfway through the book I became accustomed to it and could enjoy reading it. He brings up some very interesting points that will I will need to think about, but overall I enjoyed the book.
This was a very interesting book and I am still trying to wrap my brain around the ancient knowledge that was discovered. Why wasn't this knowledge discovered eons ago or was it hidden from us for some unknown reason. What was that reason then? I absolutely loved his teaching abilities and thought provoking questions with his answers to his own questions. I especially liked his tea breaks. Wonderful writing skills and analytical skills and teaching skills. A must read and share kind of book.
This book was Interesting and informative if you are starting the journey to find out who you really are. If you liked this book you will probably like Zechariah Sitchin and David Icke. Sitchin has passed on but his books are still on Amazon. David Icke has all his books on Amazon and also great videos on YouTube. This will definitely develop the theory in a larger frame of reference. Hope you keep searching!
This is an amazing book. While the math is not my strong suit, this rest of the book is compelling and fascinating. I am now trying to determine who I would trust to check the math. But that isn't actually required. I believe mr. Curtis has found a logical, rational approach to very ancient mysteries. And I'm sure you will be joining the ranks of those who KNOW.
This presentation of biblical history is a fascinating read, although from a different perspective from conventional thinking. I’m amazed how this book reflects my own thirst for blending my right brain science oriented self with my left brain creative/spiritual self. The wonders of the world and of the Universe are not random in design and neither are we. It’s a question of whether we recognize this.
Love the way the author writes. It is so easy to read. I felt like he was speaking to me personally as we sat at the bar having a couple of drinks. His views on the Bible are brilliant and true so that you don't look for hidden meanings. I have never accepted evolution or sciences versions or theories of space. Archaeology is pure guess work. I would recommend this book to anyone with an open mind. ...I will read it again.
I gav up less than half way through. I found it patronising, arrogant, repetitive and worst of all inaccurate. I have a particular interest in the Bible and the findings of modern science so I starred reading enthusiastically but sadly boredom set in remarkably quickly as the author never uses one sentence when he can pd out a whole chapter! There are co many holes in his arguments that I can't possibly start to list them. So disappointing!
This appears to me an interesting theory. The problem I have is my math skills are not good enough to prove it disprove what he suggests. I am satisfied with just leaving the theory go on my part without real proof. Should it be proven I feel sure we will hear about it at some point.
The Author has measured and remeasured the light that is our solor system . And as he measured stonehenge, he found a mystery that should not be there. The people who moved out system hoped someday someone who find it, but also knew it would be a fight to get the world to believe it. The Author has put forth a good argument, Now only if we believe him
