Life is never boring for Jack Beckett. Driving over the Bay Bridge, minding his own business, when he spots a woman looking like she is going to jump. He catches her as she starts to fall, but she is not strong enough to hold on and plummets to her death. She becomes the latest Jane Doe. Beckett isn't going to rest until he gets to the bottom of what happened. He doesn't get much rest in this one. Jane Doe was under a spell. She was being prepped through drugs and hypnosis for the sex trade. Where there is one there are others and some are being prepped for snuff films. When a billionaire Sheikh makes a special request, it leads to a kidnapping and that brings in the FBI. This allows Beckett and O'Connor to work together, since the two cases are connected. Mixed in with all the action, is humor and good feelings. Highly recommend!

The Becket series is one of the best ever. I really need more. I can’t get enough of the characters and especially the banter. GMR
