* Diane decides to try and get the maths teacher (Nick) fired, by making it look like he's having an affair with Tara, all because Diana is failing at maths. She sets Nick and Tara up to meet in a restaurant where she knows her father and Nancy's father will be eating, and gets her boyfriend (Mark) to plant matches for some lounge bar or something in his desk at school. Things come to a head but Mark confesses and Diana's father has to accept that it was all untrue, and Nick gets to keep his job.
* Patrick starts to believe in the rumours and gets all jealous, because he loves Tara sooooooo much. Eventually he has to accept that it was all a lie though, and Tara thinks how much she loves him and how she can't imagine not being with him.
* The squad have a bake sale, which they turn into a kind of auction (weird). Patrick jokes that Tara can't bake, so she pays a woman to make a dessert for her. Peter and Sean make cookies, then sell them at $1 each, and every cookie comes with a kiss from one of the boys.
* Olivia goes out with Duffy again, but she's still not really sure she wants to get involved with him again.

Okay book in the series. For anyone starting with a book this late in the series, the original squad in the first 20 books have much better stories/books.
