Excuses is a novel of short stories. The first story is How Many? Carlton respects Shelly as his woman. However, the respect he has for her isn't stopping him from asking Shelly a question that could change or destroy their relationship. Next up is Facebook. Tim opens a Facebook page. Toya wants Tim to close his Facebook page. Tim refuses. The battle begins. Following is Twisted Love. Kecia and Jason's relationship is twisted into a knot held by lies and betrayal. Now they are forced to deal with their deception in order to save their relationship. And lastly is Wedding Day. The guests are settled, the bridal party is lined up and the groom is waiting at the altar. Tiffany and Blake's wedding is ready to start but everyone is asking the same question. Where is the bride?

Deneen has entered the world of writing. She's written her first book, Tell Him. Two years later, she released her sophomore book, Excuses. In 2014 she released a book dedicated to her grandparents titled, The Grandparents. The fourth novel After The Wedding was released on July 18th, 2015. Seven months later on February 14th, 2016 the fourth novel, Tell Him Too was debuted. Later in the year Deneen self-published a fifth novel, Tell Her, Channing's Story. It is the last book in the Tell Him Series. Deneen is looking forward to publishing the final final book in The Wedding Series, Another Wedding. In October, Deneen attended Circle of Sisters at the Jacob Javits Center an author. In addition to publishing more books in 2017, Deneen will attend several book fairs as well as events selling her novels. All future events are listed on her website.
