Alyssa Rose Ivy is the bestselling author of more than forty novels with over one million books sold worldwide. She loves to weave stories with romance and humor, and she is best known for writing about college boys with wings. After surviving law school and earning her masters in library science, she turned back to her creative side and decided to write. Although raised in the New York area, she fell in love with the South after moving to New Orleans for college. She lives in Alabama with her two children, and she can usually be found with a cup of coffee in her hand.
3.5 Stars Conflicted is the third installment in The Corded Saga by Alyssa Rose Ivy. You absolutely MUST read Corded and Cornered in order to follow the journey of two sisters Quinn and Kayla.
This distopian fiction novel is set in a world where fertility is nonexistent and whats left of the world is either set on recreating the population, using girls to suit their needs both for survival and pleasure of the population. Reunited at last these two sisters must find yet another place to survive, a place to raise their two young girls without fear.
Ivy took a completely different approach with this last novel. Instead of telling a love story she chose to tell this one from everyone's perspective, which at times got very confusing due to the passage of time. Jumping around in time muddled the book. I felt like we were getting parts of many books, yet not an entire book. I wanted Kayla to find out the truth, for Mason to return and for resolution with Thomas, the sister's long lost brother. Instead, I believe Ivy cut this novel short by limiting the possibilities of future books in this series, which is odd because Ivy is known for her ability to spin off her titles with imaginative characters, situation and endless outcomes. Without spoiling the end, I will say I still have many, many questions about what really happened to change the world and what would come of these sisters and their family of survivors.
Although I know this author had some personal struggles which very well could have made her limit this series, I can say that all of Ivy's books are original, creative, and entertaining. Even though there was some things that I wish she would have done differently, I can still say without a doubt that I did enjoy this series, Conflicted included.
This saga series had my whole heart. It was so unique it had me at the edge of my seat. It was emotional, raw and realistic. The not knowing is always hard. We have Kyla and her sister Quinn trying to survive this apocalypse where woman are so rare almost extinct. They are struggling and it becomes even harder now that they both have 2 daughters. Mason disappears and theres a huge time gap. We get POVS from a lot of the main characters and their struggles. We also surprisingly get a POV 18 yrs from the future. It was beautiful. A must read!!!
As I said with previous books in this series, there is a good story in there, but the writing is terrible. We had a huge time jump in this book (well, I think; they never give you a timeline) and the characters acted like it was only a few weeks later, specifically Mason. The two story-lines never really fit together and what was the point of Mason's mission? We are left with so many questions and the characters are so blah, never really doing anything worthwhile. There was no saving this book. It's a pity, because the world-building could be great.
Not as good as the first two books. Mainly because Kayla and Mason don't have a lot of interactions in the book. They years fasting forward and then back to the present are also a bit confusing. They also don't really solve the mystery of the clones or why everyone died in central
Would have been nicer if Mason saw their baby get born.

There are some sassy women in this book, “yes.” I stopped tapping. “If you think this is impatient you don’t want to know what the real thing is.” I liked this book, I wasn't in love with it, this time the series was focused more on survival and not the romance aspect.
Amazingly written I loved it just as I've loved all you're other books This is such and interesting concept that to be honest could be a possibility in the future......
This is the last book of recorded saga which is where women are rare and are meant to give birth to babies and they escape to a land where it is safe for them to have families and be happy.
