يقع هذا الكتاب في أكثر من 800 صفحة في نسخته المطبوعة, وهو من الناحية الشكلية رد على كتاب للقمص (مرقس عزيز) المنتمي إلى الكنيسة الأرثودكسية المصرية (المسماة خطأ بالكنيسة القبطية)؛ حيث افترى هذا القمّص على الإسلام في عرض موقفه من المرأة, وادّعى في المقابل تكريم الكتاب المقدس والنصرانيّة لها … وهو من ناحية المضمون: موسوعة إسلامية عصريّة للرد على الشبهات التي يثيرها الشرق والغرب النصرانيين حول مقام المرأة في الإسلام ..

يناقش الكتاب موقف الإسلام من المرأة من خلال نصوص القرآن الكريم وصحيح السنّة النبويّة, ويبحث في مقام المرأة في النصرانيّة من خلال تشريح الكتاب المقدس بلغاته الأصلية وأشهر ترجماته القديمة والحديثة, وأقوال آباء الكنيسة, وأبحاث كبار النقاد الأكاديميين في الغرب .. كل ذلك مع توثيق كل نقل وإحكام كل قول.

كما يحاكم الكتاب علميّة القمّص (مرقس عزيز) ومدى أهليّته -كأحد رؤوس الكنيسة المصريّة الأرثودكسيّة- للخوض في الدراسات الإسلاميّة والدراسات النصرانيّة على السواء, ويتّخذه كنموذج لكشف غياب الأمانة العلميّة في الكتابات الكنسيّة حول الإسلام.
