An enjoyable re-read of all 4 books!

A bargain buy that won’t be gathering dust on my kindle, or if it does, it’ll be a tiny bit of dust that will be quickly removed.

99p on July 5th 2019

Book 1: 3.5 Overall Lovely Stars

Married to her high school sweetheart, with a young son (Matthew) and daughter (Allison), Parker’s life veers into new trajectory when they split due to his actions, now a single mum she works helping professional players et back in shape after injuries, at her family’s hockey rink which she now runs. Through work she finds her path crossing with professional Hockey player Copper Grant.

I liked how Parker’s dad and best-friend were with her ex, their distain was so justified, and it made me smile (I know that may be a tad mean, but I don’t care the dude deserved it).

Cooper is OTT and at the start of the book my feelings were – Meh but as the book progressed, I enjoyed him and his interactions with Parker and her kids more and more.

One big issue was the lack of Dual POV if the author had included Cooper’s POV, I think the book would have been better and richer for it. I wasn’t overly keen on the start of the book, but as it progressed things improved for me.

This book is low angst and a feel good read.

OW Drama & Cheating?

Book 2: 4 Stars due to the Latter half of the book

Book 2 gives us Kerrie who has the job of baby-sitting Matthew Grant (Parker’s son from book 1), who is now a professional NHL player, following in the steps of his dad Cooper Grant (I know Cooper is technically his step-dad, but for all intents and purposes he is his dad in all the ways that matter). Living together brings it’s challenges, especially given Matthew like his dad is protective, possessive and times a big pain in Kerrie’s butt, but a hot pain.

The twins Zoe and Zara are a hoot, and I’m looking forward to reading books where they take centre stage.

Matthew and his reactions/actions after he found out Karrie was made me laugh/smile. I did think she would strangle him a few times.

Potential Triggers:

Book 3: 3 COSY Stars

This book gives us the story of Allison (the sister of Matthew Grant) and NFL player Max Horton, in comparison to the other books this is more of a slow burn.

My least favourite of the books in this series, whilst I will most likely re-read it at some point again, it won’t be as prolifically or as eagerly I will read the other 3.

Book 4: 4 Stars: Remains my Favourite in the Series

The first time I read this I thought it was a great read and I could not stop reading until I had finished it, that hadn’t changed this time around. There are some occasions were the writing can be a tad stodgy but still enjoyed the read/characters, although I will say that I did feel Denise was positioned as a tad too perfect.

Emotionally engaging and rich, lead characters with chemistry that simmers of a page, a little boy that pulls on the heart strings and secondary characters that add to the story, mean this is a book you'll read more than once.

Something So Right was my first Natasha Madison book. A sports romance filled with alpha males, strong females and a lot of sexy times. So much sexy time that it was almost too much. Cooper is a professional hockey player recovering from an injury. Parker is the owner of the ice rink where is doing his rehab and conditioning and single mom of two.

I enjoyed their story. Parker is a dedicated mom with lots of normal issues. Juggling life and feeling insecure about her appearance. Cooper is the typical playboy male whose ways come to an abrupt when he falls for Parker.

"...that man just bulldozed his way through my life, without even stopping."

My only complaint is that I don't think there was ever a clear explanation as to how or why he fell for Parker. It was very funny when they met. The banter, his assumption of who she was is priceless and laugh-out-loud funny.

Something So Perfect:

Drafted first round pick when I was seventeen, playing first line at eighteen, branded NHL's bad boy at nineteen. At twenty-three I was cut from the team and living back home with my parents.

Matthew has a lot going on. Drafted so young he sorts of let loose. Finally able to not feel as though he had so much responsibility for everyone around him. He spirals out of control until he loses everything. Trying to gain it all back he must jump through hoops and accept whatever terms are set - including having a chaperone.

"You called me out on all the bullshit I threw at you and did it with almost a smile on your face.”

Matthew is strong willed and stubborn. He is also driven and determined. Kerrie is feisty, sassy, beautiful and intelligent. She is the chaperone and the owner's daughter. Their story has everything we love about sports romances.

I will say that they went from 0-60 quickly. They met and the next thing you know, he is sleeping in her bed. Spending so much time together does allow them to get to know one another. And then, the heat is up! There are lots of sexy times!! Matthew is funny like his stepdad, Cooper from book #1 Something So Right.

"These girls don’t want me; they want the jock. They want the NHL star."

Something So Irresistible:

Something So Irresistible is book #3. This is Max's story. Max is the bad boy of hockey. He is right on the edge of losing everything. And he is enemy to golden boy Matthew Grant from Something So Perfect (book#2). When Matthew's sister, Allison, starts as the new PR person for the New York Stingers, things get a bit dicey.

I loved how Max and Allison's relationship evolves and grows. The interaction with the team is funny. The guys rubbing it in Matthew's face is even funnier. Max has a lot of hurdles to jump as he tries to get his life together. He is generally a loner and has a lot of baggage. I think Allison being a bit younger made her a bit naïve. This also allowed her to accept Max and understand that he is growing and changing. Lots of sexy and sweet moments and a huge belly laugh near the end. Enemies-to-lovers at its finest!

Something So Unscripted:

Something So Unscripted is book #4 in the Something So series. I LOVED it! It has all of the "feels" and will fill you up with smiles, laughs and emotional tears.

I enjoyed the series and I think this was my favorite of the 4 books. Zack is a great book boyfriend. He is thoughtful, caring, a great dad and super sexy! Denise is an amazing heroine. She is smart, strong, beautiful and loyal! I love how the NHL "Stingers" team rallies around them. Jack is adorable!

I feel that all of the characters were written well and had great interactions. There were lots of background information on characters from previous books woven into the book for reference.

Something So Unscripted is a great read for the sports romance lover. It is emotional, sweet, and so romantic! I would love to read the next generation with Cooper, Vivi, Franny, Alex, Michael, Jack, Evie and the all the kids!

5 Emotional Stars!

Soooo good!

I love this series! If you love super hot alpha hockey players and feisty, sassy, not afraid to speak their mind heroines, then this series is for you! There is so much love that you can actually feel it coming off the pages. And the steam is hawt! All of the characters are awesome. It's hard to pick a fav couple but mine would have to be Allison and Max. They end up being the sweetest couple. 😍 I kinda want to read it again. - like now.

This was my first read by Natasha Madison and I really enjoyed it. 4 really easy reads, full of romance and sneaking around. The hockey team is like one big family and it was good to watch how the relationships developed throughout the series. At times the characters could get a bit samey, with the keeping relationships a secret and overprotective big brothers but it was still enjoyable and amusing.

I simply and sincerely adore this series.

I originally read the series out of order; each book can be read as a standalone but there is something so special (see what I did there?) about these stories when read in chronological order. Not only do you get to check in on favorite characters but you get to experience the evolution of Ms. Madison's world and her growth as a writer and storyteller.

Ms. Madison never ceases to amaze me, I have throughly enjoyed every book she has written and cannot wait to see what her wonderful mind conjures up next.

***Something So Right***
OMG this book is utter perfection!

I'm the first to admit that I have not read Natasha's books in her publishing order and for that I am disappointed because her debut novel is amazing!

The story of Parker and Cooper is at times fun, sexy and heart breaking. It's a fun romantic comedy with just the right amount of angst!

This story was and is clearly the first building block for all of Natasha's worlds... everything comes back to Parker and Cooper!

As per my usual I am stunned by Natasha's ability to write a story that just sucks you and makes you feel all the feels!

Cheers and FIVE Stars!

***Something So Perfect***
“I love you,” I tell her quietly. “I love you so much that my heart hurts when you're not there. I love you so much that every breath I take is for you.” I kiss her lips.

I have now read all but one of Natasha Madison's book (and you can bet I'll be rectifying that real soon) and I can say with a a bit of hesitation that each book gets better and better!

Natasha is the Queen of Romantic Comedy. The worlds she creates are beautiful and full of amazing strong and powerful characters. Each characters brings a little something different to the table and each one is better than the last.

In Something So Perfect we get to revisit the characters first introduced in Natasha's debut novel. Parker abd Cooper's Matthew is now all grown up... and he is a sexy and troubled ALPHA!

Following some poor decisions we meet Matthew as he begins his second chance, one that comes with a Chaperone. Enter the beautiful, independent and high spirited Karrie!

Obviously I love reading Natasha's words but more than that I love her characters. The are nuanced and beautiful. She creates these great Alpha males and strong independent females.

Something So Perfect is the perfect blend of romance, comedy, sexy fun, and suspense! I laughed, I cried, I got angry! This story has everything and so much more!

I am so excited to see what Natasha has in store next for her readers! Cheers and FIVE Sexy Funny Stars to Natasha and Something So Perfect!

***Something So Irresistible***
Something So Irresistible is the third book in the Something So Series and it’s the BEST book of the series, in my humble opinion.

I absolutely love series and even more I love a good series of standalones.  Those stories that can stand completely on their own, you don’t have to read them in any type of order but if you do you, the reader, is usually in for some great fun.  I love when you meet people in previous stories and are them able to either a) get their story or b) visit with them periodically.

The Something So Series has revolved around professional hockey players, their families, friends and enemies!  Each of the three stories are truly interlocked.  In book three we are re-introduced to the adult Alison Grant; we have previously watched her grown from a precocious four year old to a teenager and now a beautiful adult.  We are also re-introduced to Max Horton, the most hated man in the Something So Series.

Alison is everything you want in a heroine… she is spunky and beautiful, independent and intelligent.  She can certainly hold her own when it comes to her overbearing Father and Brother and an entire professional hockey team.

Max is… Max is an enigma.  And Natasha Madison is able to do the unthinkable.  She is able to make him lovable and perfect.

This story is truly about Max and his growth.  This is story about second chances and true love.  It is a story that makes you feel…

I don’t know how Natasha does it… each of her books is better than the last.  Something So Irresistible is by far my favorite of hers and its written beautifully.  I cannot wait to see what Natasha has next in store for her readers!

***Something So Unscripted***
I sit here sniffling and trying not to cry tears of happiness... I held it together until the very last line of book!

Natasha Madison always blows me away. Each time I finish a book I always think she won't be able to out do herself yet she keeps proving me wrong! Something So Unscripted is the best book she has written to date.

This very special story has a little bit of everything. Its sweet and souful; powerful and emotional; sexy and heartwarming. The story of Denise, Zack and Jack is all those things and so much more.

The story is at times heartbreaking and at others hysterical! The Horton/ Grant crew certainly know how to throw in some timely comedic relief. Like all of Natasha's books Something So Unscripted can be read as a standalone buts it's so much better when read as part of her amazing Something So series.

Cheers and FIVE Fighting Stars!

Something So Right (Something So, #1)
5 star

Being that this is the author’s debut this is the first story I read and I loved it!! The story has laughs, secrets, pain, and heartbreak.

This is Parker and Cooper’s story. Parker caught her husband in an affair so not she is a single mother just taking care of her kids. If she wants a relationship it will have to be with someone who sticks around. Cooper is not that he has temporary all over him. But the chemistry between these two is off the charts. Can Parker learn to trust again? Can Cooper be a man that sticks around? Can these two who are so different even try to make something work? This is a story all about second chances at love. Can once burned Parker allow Cooper into her heart? Or will it be over before it really even begins?

I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

This is Karrie and Matthew’s story. Matthew had everything until he lost it all. Now back home will Karrie be able to get him to come back to hockey? Karrie is going to be his sitter. She needs to make sure he stays out of trouble. What happens when all he wants from him is a little trouble? He needs to keep a clean profile but all he wants is to have what he should not. Can they resist the pull? Or are they about to heat up the game?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

This is Allison and Max’s story. Max is a protector and will protect his sister no matter what she is all he cares about. But one collision with Allison changes everything. Now way should these two be anywhere each other. It’s so forbidden but the pull that they have is so strong neither can resist it. Can these two figure out if they belong together before everything crashes around them? Or will Max push Allision away and just be out for him and his sister?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

Can’t go wrong with this series!

I absolutely love Natasha Madison and her writing so much!
I accidentally read Natasha’s series’ out of order. My first book I ever read of hers was This Is Crazy. So I’m going back to the beginning of the Grant-Stone family’s journey. Something So series is fantastic. Each and every book in the Something So series gets better and better.

Book 1, Something So Right: This is a great start to a great series and then through more spin off series.
Cooper is the perfect Hero, although maybe a little too alpha for some people’s taste, he’s just perfect to me.
Parker is strong, independent, and fierce.
This book is hot steamy and sweet with a HEA that’s very promising for future books in her series.

Book 2, Something So Perfect: We move onto Matthew and Karrie. Matthew is 15 when we meet him in Cooper and Parker’s book. Now, in Something So Perfect, he’s an adult, and he’s the extreme hyper version of Cooper’s Alpha-Male. He takes protective and possessive to a whole new level.
I really enjoyed this story, the Grant-Stone family books/series, and characters. However, Matthew’s intensity keeps me from fully falling for his character. I love a possessive and protective man as much as any romance literature fan. But Matthew’s character was just too much to take many times, it was ridiculous. The handcuffed/tied to him for four days thing was just too far for me. It didn’t come across as funny, just unhealthy.
Besides that, this story is sweet and Karrie & Matthew are a couple that are easy to root for and love.
I do recommend this book to read, especially in context of the whole series and other series to come, so that the reader understands some of his quirkiness and even comedic moments later on in other books. I just recommend it with a read it and love it but know that “Matthew is a bit much” caveat.

Book 3, Something So irresistible: I absolutely love love love Max and Allison in Something So Irresistible. They are amazing! This one is my favorites of the four.
And Max... he’s a jerk at first (of course) but he quickly becomes a dream hero.
I recommend getting lost in this forbidden romance.

Book 4, Something So Unscripted: This story starts out intense and grim, year instantly you’re on Zach’s side as the devoted, fierce, and determined father of a child with terminal cancer. This book seems like it could be her most intense and heart wrenching, and the first part of the book fully supports that. But about halfway through the story it gets lighter and not as intense and worrisome. Towards the end when Chantal makes her way back in, it seems like the story is going to get back on track for the tense and then scary when Jack goes in for treatment. However, those both are very short lived. I felt like both of those stories could have been developed and explored more for a deeper, richer, grittier story.
Still... This story is one of fighting, surviving, and finally overcoming. The three of them together, Jack, Zack, and Denise is pure gold. It’s such a beautiful and touching story of the love the three of the develop and grow deeper in as the nightmares of life come their way.
I absolutely recommend this book, especially as a great ending to the Something So series. I just think this story could have been her greatest if she spent more time developing the difficult and harder story lines.

READ, READ , READ these fantastic books by an amazing story teller.

Just reread this series and after reading some other reviews I’m learning the first in the series was her FIRST BOOK?! Whaaaaat?! Mind blown.
I loved this series when I first read it. Starting the Only One series and since it started with Evan’s sister (from Zara’s story in the This Is series), I needed to go back and start from the beginning. And once more, I. Love. This. Series. The first three books the prologues are written as a turning point scene later in the book and then chapter one goes back to the beginning leading up to that event. I loved this style!

The first book hits you quick. I’m a sucker for a single mom starting over book. And Cooper and Parker were great. Their attraction was immediate. Parker owns/manages the arena in the city and works with skaters to help improve their game. She agreed to rehab Cooper Stone (hockey god) after an injury. Parker was strong on her own and didn’t need a man to complete her life. But Cooper decided to be a part of it. He loved her and her kids quickly and fiercely. I love how these two are woven through future stories and we see how their family grew.

Book two is Matthew’s story. He was 15 in book one and is Parker’s son from her first marriage He has grown to be drafted in the NHL but then partied too hard and failed. The New York Stingers decide to give him a second chance but with a chaperone Karrie. And obviously the two fall hard and fast. Matthew is basically Coopers twin - the same alpha tendencies and an “I’ll love you enough for the both of us until you realize it” attitude

Book three is Allison’s book. She is Parker’s daughter from her first marriage and was 5 in book one. She ends up in a secret relationship with Max who was Matthew’s rival and nemesis in book two. This is an enemies to friends to lovers story. I loved it. In futures books the rivalry and ultimate brotherly relationship between Matthew and Max is endearing.

Book four is Denise and Zacks story. Denise is Max’s sister and she works until he children’s oncology unit and the hospital. Zack’s son is dying and he is traded to New York just to become her patient. This story tugs at the heart strings hard! Denise is a very lovable character, as are Zack and his son.

I’d rate each book as a 4.5 or 5 star read. Some great humour and banter between characters, undeniable chemistry as well as satisfying steamy scenes.
Book one will always be my favourite! And I love that I can read about Parker/Coopers love story in later books as you find out what happens to their kids. The next series (This Is) focuses on their twins Zara and Zoey, their son Justin, as well as Karrie’s (Matthew’s wife) friend Vivienne.

Something So...The Complete Series

Something So Right

I loved this story. The heat between Cooper and Parker is fire on the pages. I love their chemistry and how they are together. I love that Cooper is such a loving Dad right from the beginning, even without knowing about the kids.

Something So Perfect

OH MY....Karrie and Matthew. I laughed right out loud reading this one. These two together are so sweet and funny and hot. Matthew is a bit of a bad boy, so when signed to a team, he gets a babysitter. Karrie is to be with him 24/7. Matthew decides as soon as he meets her that he's OK with that. He'll do anything for his babe.

Something So Irresistible

Max and Allison go through some stuff to get there, but they do it.
Max does some things that are definitely in the wrong, but he also does some things that are in the right. Allison can not stay away from him. Their attraction to each other wins her over even though she knows it is going to cause family drama. Their love for each other is enough. It gets them through it all.

Something So Unscripted

Wow! This one broke me. I laughed, I cried, I got cranky. I went through all the emotions. Jack and Zack went through so much, and then Dr. Denise came along. She is their guardian angel. My heart melted so many times throughout this one.

This whole series made me so happy. What about Vivi though. I need her story.

Natasha Madison is an author that you do not want to skip over. She is one of less than a handful of authors that owns my heart. This series is one you will not want to miss.

In Something So Right, Parker and Cooper, hearts collide in a world that is not supposed to be something so right. Their chemistry is one that has you practically climbing the walls. The affection in this one is so heart warming.

Something So Perfect is absolutely hilarious, knock your panties off sexy, and just so raw, it will almost leave you chaffed. Matthew and Karrie really know how to make you warm and tingly.

Something So irresistible is the enemies to lovers book. Max and Allison made this book irresistible, #MadMax is the one you need to watch out for.

Something So Unscripted is literally one that is not scripted. It so so different than the first 3 books. This book will pull all of your emotions out. Natasha Madison went out with a bang with this one.

This series is where it is at. You need this series in your life, and all combined in one bookset? It makes it that much easier, with just one click. I definitely recommend this boxset.

I love this series and how it all played out with the characters. There was angst and there were tears. You feel everything the characters feel.

Cooper and Parker is where it all started. You meet Matthew and Allison when they were younger. How Parker and Cooper fell in love. How they overcame their pasts.

Matthew and Karrie is the second book of the series and how they came together was amazing. At first she was his chaperone but they found love in one another.

Max and Allison is the third book of the series and they hated each other at first but found in each other they loved each other as time went. Even when Max thought he wasn’t good enough. Allison showed him he was.

Zack and Denise is the final book in this series and it shows that even if you have a lot to handle love comes to you. Denise loved Jack and did everything for him. She realized she was in love with Jack’s father, Zack as time went.

You will have tears and you will laugh thru this series. If you haven’t read them all then what are you waiting for bc they are great!

I read SOUTHERN WEDDING series first up to book 4. I noticed that the rest are cross overs. So I did my research and started to read from the first series Natasha wrote.

I fell in love with the first book until I got to Addison n Max. I didn't like how Max was in book 2 but in book 3 after learning about his childhood made him my best hockey player. But I gotta say Zach n Denise took it to number ONE. Denise's story of growing up made her the person she is. So pure n beautiful inside n out. They became my number one couple and the love they have for Jack is such a blessings. Now moving on to the next series so I can make it back to SOUTHERN WEDDING SERIES 👏👏👏

This series is full of hot alpha make hockey players that will melt your heart. Add that to some kick ass female characters and you have books that you can't put down. Each book can be read as a standalone, but I believe you would get more out of the series of you read them in order. The characters crossover to each book and their back story helps you better understand.
Each couple has their own issues to conquer but what each has is a deep connection that grows into an unstoppable love with each chapter. But there is also the love of family and friends that touches your heart. You can't help but fall in love with this group of characters. I hated to see the series come to end.

something so wonderful

This series is amazing. From Cooper to Matthew, Max, and Zack, these guys were completely Alpha and so sweet and endearing. The women took no prisoners. Whether it was Parker making sure Cooper knew she wouldn’t take his crap, Karrie keeping Matthew in line, Allison managing Max, or Denise being Zack’s hope, these women had a quiet strength that leapt from the pages. I loved how the family dynamic flowed from each story without getting tiresome. Natasha knows how to write interesting characters who not only come alive for the reader but love instantly, fiercely, and deeply.

Must read, hockey romance finding true love

I loved this book series and each book in the series.I laughed,I cried and I was excited throughout the book. There were happy tears, and sad tears, but in the end everything was ok. These books were about finding love the unconditional love when you least expect it. Even trying to deny it until you just can't anymore. About families and friends and their love for one another and most of all hockey and steam that becomes your family.

Can’t recommend enough!

I cannot recommend this box set enough! Each story, the continuation of all of these families lives, it was amazing! I can’t pick my favorite couple because I love them all. The author tied everything together beautifully and as a lover of sports romance, she kept my attention to every word! I highly recommend series and author, loved it, so enjoyable to read! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Something wonderful and great!!!

Bought the series for a total of 99 cents. Getting ready to buy 3 more for total of $15.00!! And already know it will be money well spent!! Loved Something So. Made me laugh, loved the love scenes and made me cry. The book about child's cancer was so real. The feelings were challenging and heart felt. This author is on my must read list permanently!!

Honestly Awesome

I'll be 100% honest and tell you that I bought this series bundle for the last book that I didn't own. So my review is based off of that alone. Not to say that I didn't abso-freaking-lutely love the first three stories from the bottom of my heart, but this story took my heart and kept it. What an amazing story of love and strength. This author absolutely knows how to tell amazing, heartwarming stories.

Great series for hockey romance lovers.

Each book is written in dual first person POV and builds on the previous book. You don’t have to read them in order but the current book will spoil the previous book. Each book has a good amount of sexy times with relatively low angst. The timelines and ages for everyone get screwed up as you go but you just have to ignore it and keep reading.

Awesome Series

So all four books are awesome!
Yep.
All four.

Love hockey romances!
4 alpha males who fall in love with strong females.

See my detailed reviews on each individual story.

I highly recommend this series. You should read them in order, but they can be read on there own if you decide to go that route. I think you should read them all though.

Every book is so great!

I read the first two books individually and then found the set. I loved every book on its own. I will say you will laugh, snort, roll your eyes, get upset, and if you are like me, cry your eyes out. Definitely going on the favorites list and will be re read.
