Once I started this book I was hooked, it is so hard to put down.
Sadie and Katie are twins and once Sadie found out that Katie was in trouble she did her best to help. Even though Sadie had no idea what kind of trouble her twin was in. Sadie also enlisted her ex fiance Brock to help her, since he was Katie's neighbor.
I really don't want to give anything away and have spoilers so all I can say is you must read this book and I think you will really enjoy it, I know I did.
The action and suspense in Trapped ramped up right from the first chapter, leaving me turning the pages to find out what happened next!
I appreciated the tension that Sadie and Brock’s former relationship brought to the novel. Once engaged, Brock broke things off with Katie after he was injured in battle. The fact that Sadie needed to depend on Brock now in order to survive and also to find her twin sister created a attraction fueled dynamic.
Trapped is a great choice for those who enjoy fast paced suspense stories, stories with characters formerly in the military, wounded hero stories, or second chance love stories. It is another good addition to the Everyday Heroes collection, but can also be read as a stand alone novel.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
I've always loved Ms. Daley's books, but this one was more like 3.5 stars and didn't quite hold my interest. The story was interesting with a suspenseful edge, but the characters were rather bland. Sadie annoyed me, especially when she didn't make sense and ran headlong into trouble without informing anyone. Brock was more likable, although I didn't understand his brother just showing up.
In true Margaret Daley style, the opening scene hooks you and you can't stop reading! This story is about twins, Sadie and Katie. In typical "twin" fashion, when one twin is in jeopardy, the other twin "feels it" and wont stop until the mystery is solved. Sadie receives a cryptic message from her twin, Katie, that leads her to believe she is in danger and when she arrives at the family home, Sadie is accosted by thugs so she KNOWS something is going on. That's when Sadie's ex-fiancé, Brock, shows up since he lives next door and together they determine they will do whatever it takes to find Katie. I loved both characters. Brock's brother, Simon, was great too. Brock was in the military and due to some things that happened (no spoilers!) he felt he had to end his engagement with Sadie 4 years earlier. I was rooting for them to get back together during the whole book but I totally understood why Brock felt he had to end things previously. Their adventures while trying to find Katie are dangerous and non-stop action which keep the reader very engaged so be ready to not put this book down! The enemy is ruthless and he'll do anything to cover up his crime! I also really enjoyed Brock's service dog, Bella. What a special joy these service dogs are and the author showed us their capabilities in many ways during the story. I highly recommend this book!
I absolutely loved this book. It has suspense, murder, second chances, kidnapping, romance. It was fast paced and I couldn't put it down.
Brock was a wounded veteran who struggled with PTSD but was finally getting his life back together, with the help of his K9 friend. He had dumped his fiancée after his injury not wanting her to be tied to him during a recovery that he thought would never end. He still loved her but he had hurt her badly and didn't think she would ever be able to forgive him.
Sadie was devastated when Brock told her he didn't want to marry her when he was in the hospital. She tried to tell him that she loved him and they would get through it together, but he turned his back on her so she left. Now, it is four years later and she needs his help and doesn't have anyone else she trusts to turn to. Her twin sister, Katie, is missing and Sadie is convinced that her life is in danger. She reaches out to Brock for help since he lives next door to her sister's place.
The suspense is intense and kept me reading until late into the night but it was worth it. The. story is a clean suspenseful romance with great character development. I wanted so badly for these two to get their happy ending. You'll have to read it to see if they do. . . (c:
I checked this book out of the Kindle Owners Lender Library. I would highly recommend it for a great story.
A short message from her twin sister, followed by a quick drive to Katie’s home in the mountains, and Sadie suddenly finds herself under attack. Accosted by two men in Katie’s home, Sadie barely manages to escape when Katie’s neighbor shows up to help. The excitement has only begun. Where is Katie? Who were those men and why were they coming after her? Or did they think she was someone else? What about Brock, Katie’s neighbor and Sadie’s former fiancé? How can they remain safe while trying to figure everything out? I enjoyed reading about Sadie and Brock, but I think Bella, Brock’s service dog, was my favorite character. If you knew me personally, you would know I’m not a pet person; but I love a great story that includes an amazing dog like Bella. She made the story so much more riveting. Bella had practically saved Brock’s life when he returned from his time in the Marines with a prosthetic leg and PTSD. Now he watches Bella help Sadie in much the same way she had helped him. One thing Sadie sensed with certainty was that Katie was in trouble and they had to find her, wherever she was. She had that special bond with Katie that twins often have, even though it had been quite some time since they had spent time together. Will she ever see her again? I received an advance copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.
TRAPPED, BK#3 in Margaret Daley’s Everyday Heroes series.
Brock Carrington/MMC is an injured Marine veteran who has been rebuilding his life for the past 4 yrs with the help of Bella, his service dog.
Sadie Williams/FMC is a focused, determined and at times an impulsive woman; Brock’s ex-fiancé. Sadie calls Brock and asks him to check on her sister (his neighbor) when her identical twin sister, Katie, leaves an urgent message on Sadie’s phone. When Sadie arrives, Katie’s house is empty except for 2 assailants who arrive soon after Sadie. Shots are fired. Who are the armed men, and what do they want? Where is Katie?
I enjoy SAR novels; the logistics of a search fascinate me. I am frustrated when the main characters act without careful thought in dangerous situations, and their behavior becomes the reason for extra peril, as Sadie did. I liked Brock, Bella and Simon. I love the cover which caught my attention from the first.
Readers who enjoy Clean suspense fiction novels may wish to check out both TRAPPED and the other titles in this series. TRAPPED can be read as a standalone title or part of the series. It is a quick reading Clean contemporary suspense novel without excessive angst or drama (Yay!) and it has a HEA ending.
Trapped ( Everyday Heroes Book 3 ) Trapped Is book three of three in Everyday Heroes Series. Even though this is in a series it can be read as a stand alone without any problems. Wow, What an action packed and riveting story from start to finish. I was hooked from the start and did not want to put it down. Daley knows how to write those page turner. I caught myself trying to read faster to see what was going to happen next. I was not disappointed. After Sadie got a phone call from her twin sister, Katie, she goes looking for her. Action on top of action takes place and Sadie finds herself in the middle of it trying to find her sister. Sadie’s ex-fiancee and ex-marine, Brock, comes to Sadie’s rescue. Are they to late to find Katie? What could have happen to her? Can the two of them stay alive long enough to find out where Katie is or what has happen to her? Loved this story and the characters. Bella is a special dog and I fell in love with her right away. I was given a complimentary copy of this book, but was not told that I had to give a positive review. All opinions are my own.
Loved it!!! This book is the 3rd installment in the Everyday Heroes series, but it's definitely a stand alone story. This book brings elements of edge of your seat suspense, plot twists and turns, complex characters, romantic tension, turmoil, crisis of faith, and love. This is a fantastic book. It is a mystery laced with spine tingling suspense. The characters are complex, but endearing as they endure with the turmoil of dealing with romantic tension during life and death situations. This is a book I would recommend to anyone who love suspense.
*I received this book from the author. I was not expected to write a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Trapped is the third installment from Margaret Daley's series, Everyday Heroes. I enjoyed this book. I loved the chemistry between Brock and Sadie. They are characters that are relatable and ones that many readers could connect to. The story involves, danger and suspense, as well as, romance.
I am giving Trapped a well deserved five stars and highly recommend it for readers who love clean romantic suspense. I had no problem had it read in one sitting.
I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
Brock is an injured veteran dealing with PTSD. He's finally piecing his life back together when his ex-fiancée Sadie ....needs his help. Sadie is trying to re vive her life without he man and she receives a cryptic and terrifying call from her scared twin sister. But when Sadie arrives at her twin’s home, there's no sign of Katie, only evidence of her sisters rushing to leave.
This is a story about second chances. It tells of a wounded warrior ending his engagement because of he did not want to make her see him as a burden to take care of, Sadie is a scared woman searching for her twin who’s being stalked by killers. I enjoyed this book as it was full of suspense, twists and rekindled love!
The bad parts were the author or editor ,proofer needs to be a bit more thorough......... Psalms 23 is the Psalms that speaks of walking in the valley of the shadow of death and fearing nothing because God leads me besides still waters. Not Psalms 24 ..............simple things like this throws a book off for some readers ...
ALL in ALL was a very good read to this series ...
Trapped by Margaret Daley Everyday Heroes Series Book Three Sadie Williams has just moved back to Colorado when she gets a call from her twin sister, Katie. Sadie knows something is wrong and calls their neighbor to check on her sister. Not only a neighbor...the man who had Sadie leaving her hometown to start with. A man she didn't plan on seeing ever again. A man she's been convincing herself she doesn't love.
Brock Carrington came back from the war a broken man. Not a “whole” man like Sadie deserved. With the help of his service dog, Bella, and the men in the PTSD group he leads, he's much better than four years ago. Much better than when he sent Sadie out of his life.
As always, Margaret Daley writes an intriguing suspense romance that keeps you on the edge of your seat and turning the pages to see what happens next. And the service dogs ad such a cuddly aspect to the stories too. https://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com...
Suspense, romance, and inspiration are hallmarks of Author Margaret Daley. From the start, Sadie Williams, is frightened by the phone call from her twin, Katie. Brock Carrington, Sadie’s ex-fiancée and Katie’s next-door neighbor is the one-person Sadie feels she can turn to for help. My favorite is Golden Retriever, Bella, Brock’s service dog. She is faithful, obedient, and brave. Will Brock’s Afghanistan war injury prevent him from being able to protect Sadie? Will his heart betray him? Will they be able to figure out where Katie is and why really bad guys are after her? I was drawn in from the beginning trying to figure out who did it and why! A thrilling story with a surprise ending that will keep you turning pages! I was given a copy of this book. The opinions are my own.
I loved this book. It was a fast moving book. I had trouble with putting this book down from page one to the end. It is a fast moving mystery, you won`t want to miss. Sadie is troubled by a phone call from her sister and gets an ex boyfriend who she didn`t want to see again, to help her look for her, they had trouble the whole way. I really loved the golden retriever Bella. She made the story. I know you will love the book as I do
Although this is book 3 in the everyday heroes series, these books are stand alone so the order doesn't matter. The books have action, peril and some romance. These are clean books with a touch of faith. You can read the synopsis for each book, so I won't repeat the storyline here, but I do recommend this series for a quick read that will keep you turning the pages.
Quick read. Bella the Golden Retriever dog best companion n friend for a former marine who wants to get his life back to managing. Bella helps with search and rescue which gives Brock a sense of being useful. Katie and Sadie look alike twins who have opposite personalities are in trouble but not sure from who and so some drama and fire is their story.
I liked this book better than some of the other ones in this series. The mystery wasn't really solvable as in who the bad guys are. I loved how it wasn't just Sadie and Brock trying to solve this mystery, they also had help from Simon who I loved. I would have appreciated more of him and his back story. I loved Bella.
When Sadie went to the home where her twin lived, she wasn't there. She called Brock for help even though she hadn't seen him since he sent her away from his hospital room saying he wanted to end their engagement. Sadie knew her twin was in trouble but she didn't know where she'd run to.
Not a bad book, it just needs better editing, as well as some fact checking. Psalms 23 is the Psalms that speaks of walking in the valley of the shadow of death and fearing nothing because God leads me besides still waters. Not Psalms 24!
This was one of those books that keeps you on your toes! Loved the excitement and anticipation of what happens next! Are in a second chance romance and you have a awesome book!
Daley’s style keeps the reader interested as the clues are unveiled. The plot involves identical twins, one of whom went missing and her identical twin and her formal fiancé work together to find her sister and unravel the mystery.
This is a great fast pace exciting and adventurous story. the author does a fantastic job of pulling you into the story. Be prepared to finish the book in one sitting.
Sadie receives an urgent call from her twin requesting her help at home but doesn’t give Details. When Sadie arrives, she can’t find her sister. She calls her ex-fiancé and her sister’s neighbor, Brock, for assistance. Things get crazy after that!
Daley s usual spell binder…read straight through ……"had to see what happens next. Brings out the PTSD that so many of our military face & the purpose of canine helpers Many facets to her story.
Her twin leaves a cryptic message, she gets in the car to go to her. Her twin is missing, her home ransacked, then the police discover her boss murdered. An adventure with her ex fiancé leads them to solve the mystery and find her sister.
Anyone who enjoys excitement should like this book. I love books with K-9 involvement and a love angle wrapping it all together and this book has it in spades. The action never seems to stop!.
Great story, fast paced with a few twists. Loved the main characters, especially Brock. My heart went out to him and what he went through, we have so many service guys who have and are going through something similar.
This read is fabulous along with suspense thrown in along with romance. It is nice to see Brock and Sadie come together to find thier love ever after. The read is a page turned too.
