Jingle your bells this holiday season with a special festive romance collection. Perfect for fans of Lauren Blakely, Sophie Kinsella, and Julia Kent!
In SNOWED IN WITH THE BILLIONAIRE, an event planner finds that a sexy rockstar client plus an unexpected blizzard equals a very private party... for two!
In CHRISTMAS WITH THE BILLIONAIRE, wannabe-actress Jill winds up playing girlfriend when she's stranded with arrogantly hot producer Oliver. But will their romance last when the snow starts melting?
Combining her love of writing, sex and well-fitted suits, Lila Monroe wrote The Billionaire Bargain. Lila enjoys writing, as it gives her a flexible schedule to spend time with her kids and a wonderful excuse to avoid them. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, who strips out of his well-fitted suits nightly.
In all honesty, this book didn't come out the way I had thought. While I adore Christmas tales, this wasn't quite festive enough.
I'll try to review them separately when this eBook actually contains two short stories, One involves an event planner and a hot rock star-turned-producer who become stranded in a lodge; the other involves a theatre director and an aspiring actress who also become stranded in some way due to snow.
Snowed in with the Billionaire:
In Snowed in with a Billionaire, things didn't get off to the best of starts. The first time Ace sees Paige, he acts jerkily and without cause. For my tastes, his demeanor fluctuates a little bit, sometimes treating her with love and other times being a little bit harsh. He seemed to be only interested in having sex with Paige. Paige's inner monologue was absurd; if you want the man, go grab him or stand up for yourself!
The other "characters," if we could even consider them that, are so little in comparison that I really couldn't remark on them because I didn't know anything about them or see anything that made them stand out.
Christmas with the Billionaire:
This quick winter read generates a lot of heat. Even if some of their behaviors are hasty, Jill and Oliver are fairly likeable. They get along well with one another. Their arguments of contention were convincing enough, and the conclusion wasn't hurried.
But there isn't really any explanation for the MCs' immediate attraction to one another. We only see the guy suddenly drooling over the girl when she manages to catch his eye. How should I feel about this?
Overall, neither the plot nor the characters grew much in any of the stories. I found it difficult to care about what happened to any of them because of the undeveloped lot and MCs. Apart from the fact that it was set at Christmas, I didn't find this novel to be very merry, and the romance left much to be desired.
Yet, each of the stories were essentially identical, making them predictable. I don't truly think they are very attracted to each other because of the romances' rapid onset.
Although there were plenty of sexual scenes in Snowed In With The Billionaire, they came out too over to me and like filler. They weren't necessary to the plot, and they weren't the best written scenes I've ever read, to be honest.
Maybe I shouldn't be so upset since it was a free ebook that I downloaded from Google Books' "recommended for you" section.
Though I don't think I would recommend this book to anyone, if you guys want to give it a shot, by all means, do so! This book is clearly not made for me. Hope you find this book to be a perfect fit.
Ok, there was a bit of confusion with this one 😵 I opened it on my kindle with the certainty it was 1 Christmas novella, continued knowing it was more than one, thought it was a 3 stories collection, but NO. 🤣
THIS FREE EBOOK CONTAINS 2 BRIEF NOVELLAS. AND THE TEASING FOR ANOTHER BOOK.
Also to note: it's not heavy on e Christmas vibes, only the ending in novella 1.
But both novellas were cute, spicy and exactly what I had asked for opening this. So, despite all the technical confusion, it was a good choice. Not unforgettable, but a feel good read.
﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌ ☽ PRE-REVIEW ☾ ﹌﹌﹌﹌
I guess Christmas is coming early this year... In need of some good vibes, a simple straightforward cliché romance with a hea 💕
This seems pretty cute, plus it's free on kindle 🤩
Snowed In is two novellas in one: Snowed in with the Billionaire and Christmas with the Billionaire. My reviews are in opposite order based on enjoyment.
Christmas with the Billionaire: 3 stars This short wintery read achieves solid heat. Jill and Oliver are pretty likable, even if some of their actions are rushed. Their chemistry together is strong, and they sizzle in bed. Their points of conflict were believable enough, and the ending wasn’t too rushed.
A serious medical issue comes up at one point, and I was surprised at how it was handled. It not treated with the seriousness that it demands in real life and would’ve benefitted from better research.
I’m also not a fan of real life name-dropping when it doesn’t add to the storyline.
Snowed in with a Billionaire: 2 stars Things didn’t start out on a great note in Snowed in with a Billionaire. Ace does something jerky the first time he sees Paige, for no good reason. His character runs a bit hot and cold for my tastes, sometimes treating her with kindness, other times being a bit judgmental.
Paige’s mother’s advice regularly guides her decisions. Sometimes she goes against it, but there’s a lot to digest:
-> Let men win when competing -> Learn to cook, for your husband -> Snow mobiles are for lesbians (!!!) -> Focus on your husband’s happiness vs. yours (!!!) -> Your husband will think you’re going to cheat on him if you have a positive body image, which will lead to a big argument, which will lead to an apology tennis bracelet.
Her point of view was problematic in many ways, one being that sometimes it’s accepted as wisdom. It was therefore also distracting, in addition to punctuation errors and mention of present-day celebrities.
Christmas with the Billionaire is available as a separate publication. If the elements in Snowed in with a Billionaire would get in your way, you could read the standalone instead or just skip it in Snowed In.
Tl;dr: Some readers may find Snowed in with a Billionaire, the first story in this novella duo, to be less appealing than Christmas with a Billionaire. The latter achieves good heat and chemistry for a short read with wintery vibes.
I love Christmas stories but this wasn’t christmassy enough. An easy read that was just ok. More plot and character development would have made it better. Wasn’t too keen on Ace’s character, however, I did enjoy Paige’s personality. Not much spark between the two main characters which was a bit of a let down.
I mean, I was entertained for all 100ish pages of this book. This book was super steamy, unbelievable, and a little cringe for me. The end was such a letdown. But if you want a short, sexy Christmas read, then this one is for you.
This is one of those books where I wish it had multiple points of view. I think it would've been interesting to also read what was going on through Ace's eyes. I can't be the only one. Great, quick Christmas romance. I NEED MORE!
Are you Looking for two novellas on one book that give entertained/ holiday insta love ( or at least ojdta attraction).
These were short and entertaining stories one involving a ex millionaire rocker that's a record producer and the other is a actress fake dating a ultra rich producer to fool his family.
I don't know if these insta love, sex shortly after meeting guys that are commitment'phobes would be ones I'd have looked for if they weren't in a stuff your Kindle event but I did think they were just the right amount of entertainment.
Lila is my brand of humor. Every time I read her books it’s like the sarcasm flows just a little more freely afterwards…and well, if you know me then you know that that’s pretty impressive. Like monumentally impressive. Almost as impressive as Ace’s large and beautiful….winter lodge. Ok, he has a nice package too. and by package I mean dick.
see. that’s lila’s fault. you can blame her for those last few sentences.
Snowed In thrust me into a winter wonderland of happiness and romance and hilarity. I was thrilled to read about Paige – the perfect sister – and I found I actually liked her. Like Lila’s other heroine’s she has a strong voice and a stronger backbone. Except when Ace is whispering in her ear or licking down her chest or eating her….perfectly prepared dinner. *snort* I DID IT AGAIN. #sorrynotsorry.
Paige is trying to start up her event planning business. She’s a bit of a perfectionist and she’s desperate to make a name for herself – I mean, she’d really rather not go back to planning dog parties. She will. But she really doesn’t want to.
Of course the owner of the winter lodge that booked her next party is Ace. And of course he’s a bit of a playboy and a lot of a tease. But they are so freaking cute together that I wanted to shove them against each other for every bit of this book.
god I love lila. and her books. and the smiling that they induce. This novella is a short, simple & happy story that will warm you up from the inside out. 5 stars!
Moody, former rocker with tattoos and billions?-- is there something that I am NOT supposed to love? Because I sure can't find it.
Paige Bartlett was born and bred with southern hospitality and manners. They are ingrained in her being, but that doesn't mean that she doesn't have a side that wants to let loose. When she takes the biggest gig of her new, budding career, she could have never imagined it would turn into anything more than a great networking opportunity and A list party to add to her resume. But as we all know, snow is magical and romantic.
Ace Carmichael is a sexy former rocker turned music mogul billionaire. A bit broody and mysterious, this music god hires Paige to throw his holiday party in the mountains. When the snow falls things begin to heat up.
Snowed In is the perfect snow day read. It will warm you to your core with the witty, sexy banter and smoldering sex scenes. Lila Monroe knows how to bring the holiday cheer.
**I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. **
Prim party planner Paige is headed to Aspen, with her mother's voice in her head about proper comportment but her own inner snark. She's set to work for Ace Carmichael, scruffy hot music executive and billionaire. She sets up his lodge for the party, full of sensuous detail from peppermint sticks to appetizers.
But oops. They're snowed in. Plans change. And they get to know each other on the biblical level.
The thing about this book and Lila's writing is that it is EXACTLY my thing. It's funny, snarky, witty, and humorous, and I mean all of those synonyms in all of their various definitions. It's also sexy as hell, light, sarcastic, fun, and entertaining. And there are lovely emotions in there too.
It's the perfect read for the holidays. While it's a novella, I didn't feel short-changed. I felt satisfied.
This book contains two novella’s and the first chapters of the following book that can be read as a standalone.
Snowed in with the Billionaire is the first novella. Heroine is a party planner and is hired by the hero to host a Christmas party. He’s quite a jackass and not a gentleman when meeting her. I never warmed up to him. He’s a player, shallow and arrogant. Heroine doesn’t fall for him straight away, I give her credit for that. No real OW drama, but there are women hanging on to him at the party. He admitted not being the type for a relationship. This ends with a HFN ending, but for me their relationship is doomed from the beginning. Safe read.
Christmas with the billionaire is the second novella and I liked that one more than the first one. The heroine is an actress and auditions for a musical the hero produces. This doesn’t end well and when they meet again they get stranded on a train. He takes her with him to his family home, where they pretend to be a couple in front of his family. Back in town they split for a day or so. Ends with a HFN ending. I have more faith in this couple, than the one from the other novella. Safe read, although hero is quite a manwhore and slept wit dozens of women thousands of times.
Both novella’s have no cheating, OW/OM drama or sex with OP.
First chapters of the following book are a bonus, so not included in this review.
Although the cover looks very Christmassy, this book didn’t give me a Christmas feeling. It was very low on the Christmas theme and I would’ve liked to see this was more present. The novella’s didn’t have any build up or depth. I’m always skeptical about novella’s and most are very disappointing for me. This one lacked IMO.

Within the Snowed In with the Billionaire book by Lila Monroe, there are 2 short holiday stories - Snowed In with the Billionaire and Christmas with the Billionaire. These holiday rom-coms are good for a quick and easy read either together or separately around the holiday season. I’d recommend at different times, as the stories do each have a fairly similar plot right from the initial encounter of the 2 MC’s through to those steamy scenes. Both stories are dual POV’s.
Snowed In with the Billionaire: This story is about Paige the party planner and Ace the rocker turned music producer, who...you guessed it, get snowed in and Paige’s job turns into a vacation with a man who makes it known what his intentions are.
Christmas with the Billionaire: Jill’s an actress but unfortunately the job she went for didn’t happen, so now she’s off to waitress as a Christmas elf. At the party she just happens to run into the same producer she made a fool of herself in front of at her audition, but that all changes when the train home is delayed.
Snowed in with the Billionaire by Lila Monroe is a sweet and fun holiday romance.
If you are looking for a short, entertaining, and kind of steamy romance for the holidays then this book is for you.
The story is about Ace Carmichael, a former drummer of a successful rock band, who after an accident he created his own company. Paige Bartlett is an event coordinator, hired by Ace to do an event at his chalet in Aspen. This job would either make her famous or destroy her one chance to do what she loved as a profession. With the snowstorm and the beautiful scenery, they came close but when she saw the world he leaves in she bolted. Could two people who are different have a chance at love?
I enjoyed it a lot. It's solely focused on the romance between Ace and Paige. It's quite fun, with cheeky lines and some hot moments. The ending was super cute. One of my favorite parts was the conversations between Paige and her sister.
I highly recommend this book and I will rate it with 4 stars.
A quick romantic christmas story. Paige and Ace are two very different characters but being snowed in together shows them that looks and titles aren't always what they seem. I don't think it was very christmassy, but it was a light read. If you like a contemporary romance novella then this could be the book for you.
Sadly, this novella didn't work for me. I barely got through it and even at that I had to skip a lot of pages just to finish it. The plot managed to include every single one of my pet peeves (or so it seemed) and I was irritated 90% of time while reading it. I'm probably exaggerating (at least I hope I am) and I probably just wasn't in the right mood for this story. But it is what it is, so 1 star from me. Maybe I decide to try it again some other time and I'll feel different about it then but for now, 'did not like it'.
I was given an ARC of Snowed In by Lila Monroe for an honest review. So here goes my 4.5 star review. I loved the book and I hope you do as well :) Once again Lila has written a fantastic book, that once you start you can not put it down. Snowed In just flows and she pulls you in to her story and keeps you entertained from the very first word to the very last. Lila just has a way with words that make you look forward to having more of her to read.
I enjoyed reading this book and was sad to see it end, I wanted the book to keep going and for her to keep giving me more of Paige and Ace. I am happy it was a HEA, but I do hope she will give us more, maybe a book that includes Ally/Hunter and Paige/Ace together to give us more of what might be.
Snowed In is the story of Paige and Ace. We met Paige in Billionaire with a Twist, which is a trilogy about her sister and we get a little bit about Hunter and Ally in Snowed in... Paige has decided to start her own Party planning business and Ace Carmichael is her very first "real" client. Her first event is planning a holiday party at his ski lodge. So she hops on a plane and sets off to make it big in the party planning business, but of course nothing ever happens like it is suppose to.
She first meets Ace at the airport, but at the time she has no idea that it is him until he opens the door to the lodge and of course she's embarrassed since she used her sisters famous word "douchebro" (from Ally in Billionaire with a Twist, fabulous trilogy that is now out-if you haven't read it you should). I will never look at snow Angels the same way again(to know what I'm talking about, you got to go and one click). Lila has a way with words, she can make you laugh, cry and snort and you never know what the next line is going to be. She keeps you on your toes and keeps you turning the pages. I Truly look forward to more books from her. Was hilarious how Paige would have conversations in her head, whenever she did something that she knew her Mother would not approve of. I suggest you go ahead and get this book, you will not be disappointed!!!
Another fantastic book, Thank You Lila!
