Since this is a short story volume, it's a downtime volume too with no supernatural influence from Heartseed, so not much is happening other than showing how the characters have changed and to intoduce two new club members. Sounds like next volume will ramp things back up. Looking forward to it.
A well-timed short-story collection that fills in some of the gaps of the happenings in the earlier volumes, plus the prologue of the next arc, this is pretty nice break from the upheavals of the first four volumes.
The first three short stories cover the earlier arcs where we get to more insight in to Yui, Himeko and the regular activities of the Cultural Research Club, without the supernatural disruptions of <>, giving a new insight to the cast.
However, the majority of the book is actually dedicated to the prologue of the 2nd arc, where our cast has moved on to their sophomore year and now face a new problem in the form of club member recruitments. Of course, with luck, the club manages to snag two new club members which should provide a decent segue to the next volume where I expect <> to make a reappearance.
Overall, a decent enough collection of short stories but nothing that I would consider to be major developments to miss out on.
