What Would Dani Do?: My Guide to Living Your Best Life

Rate this book
Dani Dyer stole the nation’s heart with her genuine warmth and honest personality when she won Love Island this summer. She proves that you don't need to succumb to peer pressure, be swayed by all too perfect Insta-images or behave in a way that's not true to who you are. Her first book shows she is wise beyond her years as she shares her experiences around growing up, bullying, relationships, insecurities and being Danny Dyer’s daughter. Answering questions from ‘why did Danny give you the same name?’ and ‘how do I blow-dry my eyelashes?’ to ‘how can I be more confident?’ and ‘have you ever been to therapy?’, What Would Dani Do? takes real fan questions and plenty of personal insight, to offer Dani's unique take on the world and her guide to living your best, most authentic life. Always relatable and at times vulnerable, Dani gives a laugh-out-loud and truly heartfelt account of her journey from Canning Town daughter of Danny Dyer, to runaway Love Island winner and the nation’s sweetheart.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a really easy, quick read. I liked Dani in love island so wanted to learn more about her. I think the book is more aimed at teenagers but it was great nonetheless.

After seeing Dani Dyer in Love Island I was interested to see how her first book What Would Dani Do? be and I was surprised at how much I really enjoyed it. I like how the book is written in a funny and friendly style just as you'd expect if Dani was saying it herself and the illustrations and pictures were a nice touch throughout the book. It is split into different sections which i though was great as it made it easy to know what you were getting in the chapter and the relevant stories told. I think this book is probably aimed at teenagers or young adults and I think this would be a great book for that age range as it shows growing up in a relatable way and coming from someone they will most likely listen to. I wasn't sure what I'd think of the questions throughout the book but after a while I got used to them and really liked how they did bring up different topics leading to lovely stories without it feeling too forced. I think this was a fantastic book and one that I didn't want to put down, I'd love to read more books from her in the future.

Very easy reading but nice advice and very accessible to a teenage audience. She was refreshingly honest about mental health and suffering with anxiety before and after being placed in the public eye which I think is very important for young people to hear especially during such a formative time. This is contrasted with funny and sweet anecdotes about her family life and her beauty regimes etc. She also has a kind narrative voice which really warms the reader to her and makes her very endearing which, though I was gaining very little from the book itself, engaged me enough to read until the end.

U probably won’t know this woman if u don’t live in the uk but in the uk she won love island uk last year and now she has brought a book out answering questions that people wanted to know about different topics and also in between all that it’s an autobiography about her life from young age to leaving love island and how successful she has become and all the many opportunities she has done and wants to do In the future such as acting and how her love from acting comes from her dad because he is a really well known actor in the uk with the same name

**A MUST READ FOR ALL YOUNG TEEN GIRLS**
A lot of young people including myself nowadays find it hard to find self worth in a society that is based around social media, this book shows girls that even social media stars struggle and that you should value yourself, the people around you and to not lose yourself in a world that wants to make you into something you may not want to be.
An amazing book, you will not be disappointed!

Obviously a bit out of date now as Dani is still with Jack at time of print but enjoyable. Dani comes across really well; I’m not a huge fan of love island and mainly read this for her father in all honesty (EastEnders obsessive) but some invaluable advice. More aimed at teens but still a nice easy read.

So smart and funny, but if you know about Dani you already knew it was going to be! A true role model. She’s what an influencer really should be like. Give this book to anyone and everyone, but especially to young girls!

This book is an easy read, and definitely for young teens. It may have been for much lower age than mine, but I do love Dani Dyer and it was great to read her first book nonetheless and get to know more about her!

Obviously not the target audience for this book, but she comes across as very genuine.

It is an interesting book with many different "secrets" as you may call it from/of a celebrity 's personal life.

I didn’t completely dislike this book but it definitely caters for younger adults who are at the age of finding their feet.

Like the rest of the UK, I fell in love with Dani Dyer when she stole our hearts on the 2018 series of Love Island! This book is Dani’s first; part memoir, part advice manual. And it’s a jolly good book!

I laughed throughout at the anecdotes Dani tells us, I felt for her during the chapters talking about anxiety (as a fellow sufferer, I truly appreciate her honesty), and I was proud throughout that she is living out her dream!

Of course, Dani is the daughter of the actor Danny Dyer so has always had a taste of fame, but it was interesting to learn about how achieving her own fame has changed her life! She’s such a special, down to Earth, genuine girl and I wish her nothing but the best!

I found this quite an easy read and didn't take that long to read it. I really liked how open Dani was in the book about things and especially her anxiety etc. The only reason I have rated it as 2 stars (2.5 stars) is because I feel like I wouldn't really recommend the book to a lot of people maybe I would recommmend to young teenagers but otherwise I wouldn't. Also I am quite late reading this as a lot of things are out dated in the book such as Dani not being with Jack anymore.

I absolutely love Dani, and loved her on the show, but this book didn’t really do it for me. Yes i wanted to learn more about her back story and life outside of Love Island, but I really wish she would’ve talked more about the show itself. The casting process, days and nights at the villa. Etc.

Three stars for being genuine, sweet, and a good role model for young women. I’m so not the target audience but for teens I imagine they’d get some wisdom.
