Yep, stayed up all night reading this, not even believing this story could exist and be so perfect, as it has my favorite time-loop mechanism - uncontrollable jumps across original timeline, allowing character to "fix" things and live out an entirely new chain of events for unlimited amount of time, only to die and return to the different unaltered point of the original timeline with all memories and heartbreak of living multiple divergent lives. The character work and plot construction in this story were incredible, and I now ought to read the book which originated this concept - Replay - I started it a while ago, and wasn't a fan of the characters, but I still want to push through and finish it, if only for the gratitude I feel for inspiring We Killed a Dragon Last Night - my new favorite in Hannibal fandom.
I love this fic so much! It started out so strong, and overtime, it really was so strong and would never have guessed the ending! It had so much twists. Beautifully written, I love the writing style, it actually captured the characters and the description of every scene was amazing.
3.5 solid 4 but uhhhhh the ending???? 💀 i'm still reading the second book because it cannot end that way but aaaaaaaaa the last chapter aside this story was so good. the characterization and dialogues were perfect. i had missed reading hannigram a lot :(
