I was so pumped that this book came out!

No Claim is the second and final installment of The Alpha Brothers. I'm sad that this series is over but I did end up enjoying it. I was waiting for these brothers to finally submit to the woman they love, and it took freaking forever!

Now Elodie was definitely dealing with some situations. Some were a bit more difficult. For example, being challenged. Since she was a pregnant female, she would go to endless lengths to protect her baby. So, at the end of book 1, you saw her kill the alpha that threatened her. Then in this book, she has a couple of threats. She doesn't bow down from them - she faces them head on. Which is probably why I loved this character so much.

Then there's the romance. I, of course, loved the alpha brothers from the first book. However, it did frustrate me when they wouldn't even consider submitting to her. WE all knew that they loved one another but I totally get that they were kind of trained not to submit. It hurt to see them all hurting. I totally get it when they got upset that she let another guy into their little harem.. but they did also deserve it.

It lit a fire under their asses and it finally got them to admit their feelings. Again, I really enjoyed this book. Heck, I devoured it. I loved the ending, the fighting, and Elodie being an overall bad ass alpha female. Even the kids were adorable in the end.

Overall, I can't wait to dive into another book or series by G. Bailey.

THIS was some bullshit.

Complete and utter bullshit. THIS is what my husband likes to call "Back for More Cash." This is nothing but a cash-grab. I'm so disappointed.

There was no reason for this story at all. It should have ended with book 1 but still this appeared. And this was shit. There was ANOTHER dude brought into the mix - WTF did that shit happen??! There was Elodie's complete and uncharted personality change. WTF? There was the decision that SHE was going to become the Alpha of Alphas... because reasons. And the other guys now needed to submit to her.

Wow. Just...wow. Continuity of character...clearly the author has no interest.

Let's then add in the BS of the two female alphas being killed...and the randomness of Elodie's mother being killed - for no fucking reason. All the while the dialogue talks about helping women. I guess only women would can't be a threat to Elodie being the only alpha female around.

My suggestion: Love the pretty cover but do. not. read.

Disappointing.

This was a great sequel to the first book in the Alpha Brothers series. I enjoyed reading as the brothers evolved in their thinking and the importance of doing things for those you love, even if it means something you promised never to do years prior. The strength and confidence Elodie portrays in this book is an amazing contrast to her submissive character in the first book. She has grown so much as a shifter. My favorite character is still Alpha. We learn so much about the past and how he was left in charge of his brothers growing up as all their mothers were killed. There is a reason why he is so stubborn in not taking a mate and submitting to anyone. I really hope that Bailey decides to write another book with them as MC's.

um i felt like this book fell flat, everything happend very fast and no one really explained why. i mean a fourth guy came in to her harem and her personality changed 180. I felt like bailey could have written a longer book or just continued with this series or duology. It felt unfinished and to sloppy
like where that it?? i expected more from bailey :(

This book starts off right where the last one ended. Elodie is alpha and she thinks the alpha brothers have chosen another mate. She pretty easily takes over the pack and changes all the rules. Rules that needed to be changed but I have a hard time believing that the pack just accepted all of it.. some left most stayed. The thing that bothered me the most was that Elodie wanted Alpha to submit to her. Even after they explained everything and Elodie was actually kind of a jerk because she was wrong about everything. She wanted submission and that just wasn't Alpha. I get that it was a trust thing but It bothered me.

Other than that I loved this book. There were a lot of things I didn't NOT see coming. Like River! Man he kind of is my favorite. And her mother and other surprise family. I liked the way everything wrapped up. I loved the epilogue. Just a great way to end the story.

I think that this book was way too rushed. the introduction of another harem member was completely unnecessary and felt forced and shallow as we barely knew river. additionally the plot at the end was completely out of the blue and could've definitely been written better.

its fine if you had nothing better to read, but personally I would pass

2.5 ish stars again. I will say that the new Elodie is way more my type of heroine, the change is so incredible that you can almost forget that she was an entirely different person in the first book.. as she seems to do. This story's main focus is bringing in and uniting the packs. Elodie wants the three Alpha's that did her dirty in book one to come to her and submit.. of course they are going to put up some resistance as expected.

This book was fast and quick to the point so no complaints there. Everything seems to be on track for Elodie and her Alphas+ now.. There is a 3rd book in the "series" but this story seems finished. I'm not really sure about seeing whats happening in the spin off.. This roller coaster world seems to have addled me for a bit. So much so that even my unanswered questions aren't even screaming at me..

Wonderful ending

Elodie is alpha and has become “cold”. Will the alpha brothers submit and become her mates? What about her attraction to River? How many mates will she take? I won’t spoil this but the babies !?! Love these stories.

One fast paced book! I liked the characters and I never saw River coming! I do wish that there would have been more detail to the sequel. I feel like we barely got to see the four mates working well within the relationship. This was fast paced and held twists that I never saw happening. I love G.'s creativity and she always invents these memorably sweet words. Ready for the spin off as it sounds really intense and exciting!

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Wow just wow!!! As book two in this series we have some expectations going into it with the way book one ended but man I so did not see any of this coming!!! I love it when a strong woman can stand her ground and not give in no matter what her men say to change her mind otherwise. Amazing development inside a fascinating shifter world that will leave you wanting more. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

Disjointed and emotionless

I can’t believe this is by a best selling author. The writing technique is a complete mess. There is often no bridging between sentences which results in stilted sentences and sudden changes of topic and state. There is also no emotional depth to the characters, they express feelings using words only, like bad actors reciting their lines without expression. Finally there’s a lot of odd word choices eg using interrupt instead of interfere or intervene. It’s not exactly a malapropism but it’s clear the author doesn’t understand the subtleties of meaning.

I loved Book 1 of the Alpha Brothers series, and liked the sequel in the duology (sadly not as much as Book 1). I liked seeing the relationship build between Elodie and River (SWOOOOON!) and I liked that the Alpha Brothers had to work to gain Elodie's trust back because of what she had to go through while they were dealing with the issues back at their pack. I liked the twist with the long lost character but I wished the plot wasn't as rushed as it was. I loved how Elodie stood up to the horrible traditions and picked people for her inner circle and provided for the people in her pack. It made me smile and in those scenes, I couldn't put the book down. I think it was once the Alpha Brothers came to the castle and tried to win back Elodie where it started to feel too fast.

Not saying the story was bad or anything, it just could have been fleshed out a little more, maybe a third book, to help round out the story and give the readers the epic conclusion to Elodie and her guys story that it deserves. I think the toughest part for me was the big end scene was over pretty quickly. I really enjoyed the flashbacks from the guys, gave great insight into how they started the Luxa Pack. I think the reveal of a certain characters name, while I understand why it was revealed that way, there wasn't any follow-up/acknowledgement from Elodie or from said person. I think that could have helped cement their bond even further. I did think it was adorable how the walls were finally broken with Alpha, definitely that line is on my top list of swoonworthy phrases by book boyfriends hahaha

So overall, I still recommend this series, but I think Book 2 has so much potential that wasn't showcased in the execution. I am excited to see the spinoff though, see what happens with these new set of characters and the addition of a new supernatural creature.

Wow just wow. I don’t even know why it still surprises me but G. Bailey truly never ceases to amaze. No Claim is a fantastic continuation of Elodie’s story.

As a new alpha who was raised a slave, Elodie has a ton of adjustments to make. Heartbroken, pregnant, and alone, she just wants to fix her pack and make a safe place for her child to be raised, a safe place for all women and children in her world. But change will not be easy and her rule will not go unchallenged. When the alpha brothers come, refusing to submit but not willing to leave without her Elodie must make the choice not to back down for the sake of her heart and the future of her child.

I loved seeing Elodie become the alpha she was always meant to be. She is strong and unwilling to bend, even to the men she loves. She’s come a long way from the slave who was treated horribly, to the powerful alpha who won’t be swayed. I really like the addition of River in this book. He is such a great character and was just what Elodie needed, especially when the alpha brothers weren’t there for her. I was glad he was able to grow close to her and eventually Alpha, Alaric, and Letric as well.

No Claim is the perfect conclusion to Elodie’s story, giving her the happily ever after that she deserves, though it doesn’t exactly come easy.

And wowza the last few chapters introducing the spin off Vampire Captive sounds so so good! I can’t wait to read about Eloise’s children and this new FMC Arilee!

Nice read

This was a nice ending to Elodie`s and The Alpha Brothers Story. Elodie upon killing Tanner, the brothers Father to protect her Baby. Elodie becomes alpha of the Xan Pack as she is the rightful heir and upon hearing how the pack is run decides to change the pack for the better that is until the brothers come to her gates and demand that she go with them. But Elodie is now stronger than ever and will not back down to the brothers who broke her heart. Being the alpha of the Xan Pack Elodie will change everything so that she can create a world that her baby grow up in Safe and protected. However the brothers are tenacious and they will not give her up without a fight.

In terms meantime Elodie start to grow feelings for an another and Her Males will have to shut up and Submit to her rule if they want her and the Baby in their lives. During her successful takeover of the Pack secrets come to light of her birth, new friends are made in an unexpected way, surprise appearances of secret Family and the new the excitement of children will lead the way into the future for Elodie and her Mates as well as the Pack. I was looking very forward to this but I did feel at some points that it was rushed that I wanted the story to be brought out more but I'm happy either way and cannot wait for the spin-off series...

This more a novella than a full book (as is the first book.
For me it was like watching a movie through a pin hole. You never see the big picture just whatever is going on around Elodie.
There is barely an attempt to describe the new world around Elodie. She is now Alpha and living in the castle. She meets a few people... chooses a few betas, makes a couple of new rules ... no more bordelloes, forcing mated women to be shared, and no more dumping unwanted babies, from said coupling, to either fend for themselves or dumped at the bordelloes as a future employees... basically bettering the lives of women and children (which I applaud).
The plot just plods along... plops enemies in randomly. Don't they have guards posted at all entrances and some rotating around? Seriously, where are the guards? River is basically her main Beta/ bodyguard. Don't they have guards at all entrances and some rotating around? Are all the Betas supposed to be be protecting her? ... be in protection rotation? Did they all leave after she shut down all the whorehouses?
It's strange to read a story where something happens but details of the situation is so vague. It is what it is because the story tells us it is.
Some of the dialogue and plot points just make me roll my eyes. (As I'm sure my review has others doing ;-]P )
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

No Claim is the last book in this RH duo from G. Bailey. It’s supposed to be a dark fantasy romance however there wasn’t many dark triggers in this book compared No Alpha, it was quite tame given some of Baileys other work.

I am a little disappointed with this book, it is fast paced and I already fell in love with the characters but I felt this one fell a bit flat in the end. I think the villain in this story needed to be thought out a bit more, introduce them a little sooner, have them cause more trouble so that it didn’t feel like it was out of the blue and for all their arrogance when throwing down the challenge it fell flat real fast. There wasn’t much excitement or brutality that I would have expected given their mentality.

This book was also predominantly focused on the relationships which I liked don’t get me wrong because why read romance if there’s no romance right?! But unlike No Alpha there wasn’t much about the Pack just little tidbits I would have liked to have seen more changes come about not just getting a bigger picture in the Epilogue.

Rushed.

Like the many other readers here I was very happy with the first book and admired the characters immensely, so much so I pre-ordered the sequel, unfortunately it was a flop. EXTREMELY rushed, WTF is Rain doing in the picture, oh what a woman can’t expect she just might not have man by her side? What kind of message is that? Also ironically, the book centers around alpha brothers being the love interest, but hey if your cute you can hop in the bandwagon? People get randomly stabbed out of no where? I genuinely expected more I’m also a fan of her other series and seeing how this “finished” I don’t think I’ll be sticking around for those other endings either. This was a failure and if the author actually reads this, either dedicate yourself to something entirely or not at all. I don’t want to be rude, but seriously WTF was that? You know it, I know it and I think a LARGE portion of the comment section knows it. I do hope you write again take this for what it was and come back harder. I KNOW you can do better.

Great finish for El’s story

This duology is probably my favorite work from G. Bailey. I loved El and how she grew into being the fair and just Alpha of her pack. The conflicts with the old alpha, disgruntled pack members, and the alpha challenging female at the end were all short lived while the meat of the story focused on El and her love/sex life. I’m not complaining because I enjoy a lot of steam in my RH :)

The Alpha Brothers and their drama with El made me want to choke slam all 4 of them! All 4 of them were being stubborn turds in the beginning. El wouldn’t take the time to find out what truly happened once she went missing from the island and the brothers weren’t very forthcoming with that information or their true feelings until half way through the book.

I love River!!! He’s so dedicated and loyal to El. I could tell in the first book that he would have an important role in El’s life.

Overall, this was a great series that is definitely darker than some of G’s other works but I LOVED IT!!!! Great job G!

Its super hot and sexy!

I read this baby so fast! I was dying to see how the brothers would reconcile with Elodie. Its a fast pace book. I did miss my boys tho...they hurt Elodie and have to work hard in the process to make it right. This gives Elodie a new leading man! I was actually jealous on behalf of my boys. I didn’t think it was rush but instead it felt like it dragged a little trying to reconcile the brothers and Elodie. This Reverse Harem is new to me so here i thought Three men are enough!...but no she actually gets one more guy lol. which wasn’t bad but i just felt betrayed somehow lol. Things get interesting because the brothers are willing to get Elodie back but not wanting to submit to her as the new Alpha. Its a challenge but in the end her life is in danger with a new enemy so they decide to set aside their ego and submit. We get a sweet epilogue that gives you butterflies! I do look forward for the spin off that takes 20 yrs later! It features some babies!!

An enjoyable story

I really enjoyed reading about the alpha Brothers in River and Elodie. I saw mixed reviews about this series in about the writing done by the author. I also saw mixed reviews about the editing. I'm giving this book 4 stars not because the story wasn't great but because there were some editing flaws. Overall it was an enchanting story. I did feel it was slightly rushed, and that there wasn't enough backstory for some of the characters. I think a lot of the trouble people saw with editing was merely the way that the character spoke. I took that in mind when rating this book. It is a dark reverse harem that being said there are some triggers for some people in this book, mostly rape and domestic violence. I do believe that the story was well-thought-out and I had a great time reading it. I would recommend this book two others who enjoy the darker side of books.

Should have been one book

This seems more like part 2, rather than a book unto itself. It picks up right where the last book finished. Unlike the first book, this has a HEA. I can’t say it was exactly romantic though. Just like the first book, the descriptions were very cut and dry.

Of all the characters, I thought Alpha was the most interesting this time around. I’m not saying likable, but he definitely captured my attention. He was manipulative in a way that wasn’t typical of a hero. In fact, his methods bordered on evil, though he lacked follow through.

One thing I didn’t like was how easily the resolution is. Like the first book, one moment the main character is at death door. Then a quick takedown ends the story.

After the epilogue, the series continues with a few more chapters that introduced a new heroine. That had a quick, unlikely takedown also. I don’t see myself continuing this see.

3/5 stars.

No Claim is the second book in The Alpha Brothers series. For me, this book wasn’t as dark as the first book. That said, there are still some darker points within the book. The plot took some unexpected turns, and there’s not really a way to say anything about it, without giving it away.

While there were some aspects of book 1 I really liked, I think I liked this book better out of the two. This one felt like more happened developmentally - plot-wise, relationship-wise, character-wise, where book 1 felt a little bit more like a bubble due to establishing a lot of the storyline. I like Eloise a lot more in this book, as it feels like she’s grown so much more; that said, I think all of the characters develop quite a lot from the first book to this. It rounded out the story well, and I like that, while there’s a third book in the series, it’s not directly linked and is planned to be in the future of the second book.

Poor world-building

I didn't like this nearly as much as the first book. The guys (minus River) are buttheads for no real reason. But what bothered me the most was the lack of world building. What is the point of teasing us with these interesting bits of world building if you're not going to explain them? For example, the dead horses are interesting but I have no idea why they were mentioned and what purpose they serve to the plot. This happens time and again through the books. Something interesting is brought up, then no explanation is provided and the story just moves on. General rule of thumb: if it doesn't help the plot, leave it out.

I did mostly like this series but I'm left feeling disappointed in the author. There was so much more about this world that I wanted to know but never found out because she didn't develop it properly. If you're looking for a quick RH read this is probably a good choice.

I really liked the story and the character development in book 1. I know the Alpha Brothers hurt Elodie in the first book and I understand her wariness to accept them again. I also understand how River came to be in the relationship too. I liked how the brothers came to her individually to try and get her trust again after the initial meeting in the beginning. I enjoyed Elodie coming into her own. But somethings felt rushed and I think a third book might have explained some more things especially with the sample chapter of the spin-off. Because it seems like a HEA for Elodie and the guys but then you read the spin-off sample and it makes you wonder if maybe there wasn't a HEA for them after all. But I liked the characters and story line none the less and I enjoyed read about Elodie and her guys.

I really loved the first book in this series and was so excited to have the second. Overall I’m glad I read this as I did enjoy it but I have a few things that I was a little disappointed in. I felt that the story was rushed and could have definitely been lengthened in order to make it more desirable with the characters. I loved that River was included in this as he wasn’t originally in the group but I found I liked him a lot. Again his relationship felt rushed with El though and I really would have liked to see them work through things rather than have an insta love situation. I just wanted more because I love this author and her work. In the end we see a new series spin off that sounded amazing so I can’t wait to get a hold of that one!

I'd still support G Bailey by continuing to read every book ever written by G Bailey in the foreseeable future because I flove her books. I reread book 1, No Alpha (NA), just to refresh my mind on where I'd think book 2, No Claim (NC), would pick up & I'm excited to announce that NC continues where NA left off. In my opinion, when I finished reading, I felt that NC was just subpar. Without giving anything anyway, the plot was hyped up getting us all excited, but to me, it then felt anti-climatic.
NC is the final book in The Alpha Brothers (TAB) series, but have no fear Bailey likes to do spin-offs of her previous books, so we get to see E & her guys appear in a cameo in a spin-off which is set in TAB universe.

Perfect ending!

Just as the first one ends, this one picks right up making you turn page after page. Elodie has found her place in the shifter world and as amazing as it is and I’m happy for her, I’m also thinking “what the heck happened!?” Elodie’s personality changes right before my eyes and I’m torn between disappointed and proud that she is finally standing up for herself. But she’s also being stubborn, childish, and conceited. However, I can see where she’s coming from and I get it so I’m right there with her feeling hurt and angry. Hoping that the brothers will change and step up to help her. More twists and turns and even a new man in her life!? This all leads to a perfect ending to Elodie’s story and no rocks left unturned and no cliffhangers. Great ending!

OMG! Loved this book!

I cannot express how much I loved this book. Elodie stepped up as Alpha of her fathers pack after killing the Alpha Brothers father. The Alpha Brothers do come for her but she stays so strong and doesn’t just give in to them. Many books just have the female swooning as soon as the guys show some effort. Such as following after her even after they broker her heart. Elodie stays strong and will not give in to the Brothers until they submit to her. Cannot wait to see how the follow up series progresses with the characters stemming from this book. Cannot recommend this book enough!!
