Monica Robinson moved to Blessing, Montana with hopes of adventure and escaping her small town life in South Dakota. A new job as a nanny seems like the perfect opportunity to strike out on her own. Little did she know she’d find danger in that mix, in the form of a crazy ex-roommate hell bent on her destruction.

Firefighter Smoke Wilson has never found a woman who could put up with his career or keep his attention long enough for him to try to balance the two. When he finds Monica stranded on a country road in the dead of night, his protective nature stirs.

As circumstances throw Monica and Smoke together, with danger at every turn, can they conquer the past in order to build a future neither knew they wanted?

Cute quick and entertaining

with an ex crazy roommate set to take Monica out, she finds herself on the side of a deserted roped. Gas line was cut and a stranger pulls up to help her out. Lucky for her it happens to be her new neighbor who see also a firefighter. The flame of love blossoms at the strangest times in life. Fun and quick story to read. Well written and very entertaining.

Hope that Dallas Fire & Rescue is going to be a new series!

Marissa has done it again! I first fell in love with her writing with The Alaskan Tigers, and I was excited to see this book pop up in my email! This was a wonderful romance and I was cheering for Monica and Smoke the whole way through the story! I really hope that Dallas Fire & Rescue becomes a series! I would love to follow Marissa through another great one!

Surely cutting a fuel line would cause the fuel to pour out straight away? And she would have seen or smelled the spilt fuel? (*I* certainly did when the petrol tank in my car sprang a leak and dribbled petrol underneath the car.) Not going any further with this.

I really enjoyed this book. I was expecting more to the end of it like a continuation of going on to get married. The story line was good.
